Is that what you're talking about?

I just went through a kitchen disaster. I had moved my wheatberry salad to an open pyrex dish, and you got it, I opened the fridge door and the whole thing went everywhere, in and under the fridge and all over the floor. I now have a clean everything. I had to move the fridge and take out the crispers. CURSES! So, that's been my relaxing evening.

Saundra, that sounds like quite a mess! I'm sure you had plenty of things you'd rather have done instead!

I have been sleeping a while and woke up to some pain, so I'm taking the last two pills and will hope that the doctor gave authorization for a refill. If so, one of the girls can pick it up tomorrow.

I've been listening for a brouhaha from the family room but so far nothing, so I'm guessing Judd doesn't know about Shaun's evening last night and that's the way I plan on leaving it. That might make me a bad person to keep it from him, but I think it's best. He does know that Shaun hurt his knee and asked me how it happened, and I said he fell. He rolled his eyes and made some sort of sheeesh sound.

There was one outburst from there earlier though and a few minutes later he came back in the bedroom and asked if I was okay with him going on his trip. I said sure, why not? (I mean, yes I'd like for him to stay here with me but I should have access to everything I need) and he said he had told his dad he was going. His dad said you're going to leave your wife in bed while you go off for three days? and Judd said the kids would be here to help me if I need it. Then his dad said I thought you told me the kids didn't help and Judd just practically screamed at him (this is what I heard) WHEN DID I TELL YOU THAT??? I think the conversation ended quickly. I told him they shouldn't fight because of me and he said too late. I guess he's feeling sorta bad about leaving and didn't like his dad pointing it out. I should be fine though, and it's going to be gorgeous weather, so there's no need for him to stay cooped up just because I have to.

I suppose I'll try again to sleep now. See you chicks tomorrow.

How's everyone doing? I've been super busy with school and work. I have been eating core again though since March 1st. I had gotten back up to 163.5 and weigh 156 now. It seems I'm constantly up and down....it's that whole moderation thing...I can't seem to grasp the concept, hehe. Kathy, I see you're in the 140's. I'm jealous. I feel so much better there. I wish I could be consistent. Talk to y'all later![

Good Morning Chicks! Jim was up sick last night. Terrible chills and probably a fever. He never reads the inserts on his medicine and this time I didn't read it either. I think he's having a reaction to the penicillin. He took the 5:00 dose of the penicillin and now I'm afraid he's going to get really sick again. He's supposed to have his CT scan this morning but I don't know what's going to happen. He's thinking he shouldn't go. I'm going to get showered and dressed and call the pharmacy to see what they say. I'll call the Doctor as soon as they open at 9:30. Sheesh.

Vickie, has he ever had a reaction to penicillin before? Usually it causes a rash, and in severe cases, swelling and anyphalactic shock. I'm also allergic to penicillin, so we're always on the look-out when we give the kiddos antibiotics. I hope he feels better, and can get the treatment he needs.

Saundra, since I've been avoiding soy and canola, I could probably eat a little and be OK. I'm not actually "allergic" to canola...it's called a food sensitivity I guess. If I ate more than a tiny helping of either though, I'd be hating life. I really tend to avoid prepackaged, frozen foods, since a lot of them contain both those ingredients. Plus, all that stuff out there that contains soy for "women's health," I can't have. Plus, many restaurants use canola oil. I finally figured out what it was that was triggering my troubles when I was traveling for work a long time ago, and ate at Country Kitchen a lot.

I hope everyone feels well today, and gets done what they want to.

Morning ladies! I'm at work and going to be fairly busy today. It's really nice here right now but supposed to storm later on in the afternoon. Luckily I get off today at 3:30!

Big day--just sent in my 30 day notice to our landlord. How exciting! I can hardly wait to get into my new house!!

I hope that you all have beautiful days today!!

Kathy, I'm sorry there is always so much drama at your house. You definitely don't need it right now. I'm sure Judd is feeling guilty and that's why he reacted like he did.

Vickie, I hope that Jim is feeling better by now and that there are no complications. Let us know how he's doing (and you too).

Good morning all. I slept till almost 9:00 and it is a grey day out there. The temp is going down and possibility of snow this evening.

Vickie, I guess you've spoken to pharmacy and doc by now. I hope Jim is feeling a bit better. Bern says that chills and fever isn't a typical allergic reaction. However, if it does happen, it usually disappears. Hope all goes well. How is your tummy doing?

Melissa, doesn't it feel good to give that notice. You are going from the renter's world to the home owner's one. It's a special time for you and Aaron, and I'm delighted for you.

Angela, I guess you've had allergies for a long time. I've never really experienced food problems, but am allergic to environmental stuff. I always have Claritin available, which seems to do the trick.

Sandra, I'm looking forward to hearing about day one. I'll be watching for you.

Kathy, I understand Judd's dad's reaction. As a mother of a two married men, I would also questin leaving an injured wife. You and I are different, I would come out and tell Bernie if I didn't want him to go. Hey you have needs and have to express them.

Better shower and get dressed now,

Hey chicks!

I spoke to the pharmacist and she pretty much said what Bern said. If it's not an allergy, it sure is making him sick. Chills/fever/nausea/diarrhea are all things listed to call your Doctor about. His temperature at 6:00 was 100.2. He took 2 ES Tylenol. He's normally a very non-complaining sick person. He said these were the worst chills he ever had. We are waiting for the Doctor's office to open at 9:30. His blood sugar was 172 (shouldn't be more than 120) and now he's also nauseous and has diarrhea, poor guy. He's sleeping at the moment. I know he didn't get much rest last night. I rescheduled his CT scan for Monday. Today did not seem like a good day to be shooting dye into him. I'm doing ok but I do feel anxious. Jim is my best friend and my rock. I hate to see him sick. I'm trying not to hover and make him crazy.

Thanks for asking Bern, Saundra. It sure is nice to have smart folks to hang out with! It's very warm, gray, and humid here. I went out to get Jim's papers at the curb with no coat on. It's definitely Spring here in the Midwest.

Melissa, giving that notice must have made it feel very real for you. Life is good!

Angela, Jim's never had a reaction to penicillin before that he could remember. I'm watching him closely for since of rash or trouble breathing. I'm going to give the Dr. Praeger's one more shot without the quacamole which may have been spoiled? I don't think I'm allergic to soy since I do eat the edamame. I'll pay more attention the next time I eat it. And I eat canola all the time too. I definitely have food sensitivities so I'm watching any reaction to what I eat.

Kathy, I guess I'm with FIL on this. But that just my opinion. It doesn't seem like the kids have been very good at even keeping you in water. I wish I could help you but you'd probably be throwing me out! When is he supposed to leave?

I'm going to go have Jim take his temperature so he can call the Doctor in 10 minutes.

vickie, i hope your doctor gets jim some relief soon. i'm sorry he's not feeling well. i'm allergic to penicillin, too. it caused my mother's vitals to shut down one time. very scarey stuff.

angela, i am very glad you're able to be a stay at home mom. that's very important. your girls are lucky.

melissa, 30 day notice!! wow!! i am sooo happy for you. are you packing yet?

kathy, i hope you're feeling better today. did you say you're going back to work monday? will judd be home to help you get there?

i'm waiting on my gf to come get me. it's almost time to go. i'll give ya'll a report when i get back. life is good.

Wow - hope Jim is feeling better soon - sounds like he caught some kind of a bug? I am allergic to amoxicillin and hence cannot have any cephalosporins (including penicillin) - and I did have the rash reaction (I actually wear a medic alert bracelet indicating my amoxicillin allergy so that I am not inadvertently given penicillin should I be unconcious or in an accident or something - got it when pregnant w/dd as I was panicked that something would happen to the baby if I could not speak for myself!).

Good idea to reschedule the scan!

Melissa - looks like things are moving forward - have a great day - and I bet you are looking forward to 3:30!

Sandra - kudos to you for getting back to it - good luck at your rededication ceremony!

Kathy - I can understand those around you being upset w/Judd for leaving - but frankly it's between the two of you on how you handle it. I would insist that you do ensure you have 'backup' or maybe a schedule on who will be checking in on you and providing you with your needs! Hope you get some more pain pills too!

Saundra - been there done that - lost most of a major roast beef dinner on the kitchen floor a while ago - and don't even ask about the ketchup bottle (did you know that those plastic ketchup bottles are not indestructible - and can break open on your kitchen floor causing BIG RED STAINS ON YOUR LINOLEUM which take weeks and several different chemical concoctions to make them disappear - need I say more?). Sorry you spent you evening on the kitchen floor!

I am at work today - headache was gone most of yesterday but returned around 8 pm - took 2 advil - went to bed - and still feeling a bit of pressure this morning, but manageable - took 2 more advil when I woke up.

It is a special day for this frouf - as I woke up and found a card outside my bedroom door - a trail of these big stuffed, bendable flowers leading me to an adorable bunny (already named fluffy by ds) - this was from dd - who is actually home sick (was throwing up around 6 am). Dh was off shopping last night for presents and off today for more shopping? I am a bit leery as a) I don't want him to spend too much money on me and b) I am a bit frightened as to what he is getting me.

Says he decided to get me something 'non-traditional' for my bday and he hopes I like it? This is making me very, very nervous (I usually get a watch or jewellery or clothing - pink of course). Told him I don't want any electronic devices or anything too scary? (and keep the bill just in case ha ha ha).

Plan is to go out for dinner tonight (without the kids?) and maybe a movie? I think big ds is out tonight and tomorrow night so might do a family thing on Sunday. I do want to do cake and candles tonight tho esp for little ds who thrives on such things - told dh NOT to get a huge cake, just something small for the family.

Work birthday lunch scheduled for today - 3 birthdays in April - and actually one of the ladies (new admin assistant to my manager) has her bday today as well - how coincidental is that? Going to a japanese place where they cook on the grill - should be loads of fun - then of course cake this afternoon - of which I hope only to have a sliver.

Yes - I feel tired and old - such is life.

Birthday Froufie
