  • Sandra, I hope that you have a great time at WW. And yes, I am packing!! Although I still worry that something will happen and everything will fall through. But I requested days off today for the big move, so it is really seeming more real to me.

Saundra, I hate to hear about snow. It will be snowing there and thunderstorming here! It's supposed to be over 70* today. I hope that you have fun today.

Vickie, I'm glad to hear that you sound more calm. I'm sure by now you have spoken to the doctor and have more direction. Take care of yourself.

I think I'm going to clean my office now. I'm in the mood to be active (probably because I want to be at home packing!).
  • Frouf, that sounds like a great start to your day (well minus the vomiting!)!! How sweet of your DD! And I'm sure DS liked the bunny as well. I hope that you enjoy yourself today!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROUF

Hope Your Day Is Full Of Wonderful Moments
  • Oh Poop! I remembered Frouf's birthday yesterday and forgot this morning. Darn. Anyway, Happy Birthday Frouf! I feel old and tired too but at leasat we are here!

Sandra, have fun and happy new beginnings to you!

Nurse called from Doctor's office. She will talk to Doctor. Everyone seems to agree that it's not an allergy per se. Something's going on though. I wonder if it could be food poisoning since we did eat out last night and did not have the same food. I guess time will tell. They told him not to take any more medicine until he hears from the Doctor.

I'm not doing so well. I'm SO bad when I do not have control. God keeps giving me these lessons. I've eaten my breakfast and 5 Dove dark chocolates at a point each. I'm hungry and looking for more of just about anything. Good grief!
  • Doctor just told Jim to stop the penicillin. No replacement. I'm going to go see if I can get him to eat something.
  • Dear me, so much going on this morning!

First of all, I hope Jim is much better by now. That has to be rotten to have all that on top of the other stuff he's having. I'd say the antibiotic has given him the diarrhea, and the chills and fever are because of that. Antibiotics are notorious tummy-upsetters and sometimes it takes a few days. The doctor should be able to give him a shot or something if they can get you in.

Happy birthday to our favorite Froufy! I hope you get lots of good gifts and food and have a great day. You are SO not old! At least, you'd better NOT be or some of the rest of us are in big trouble! I hope your headache is gone by the time you leave work and starting having some real fun.

Melissa, I know you feel great about that notice! It really seems like things are starting to move along quickly and this month will pass like a flash -- you'll be moving before we know it!

Saundra and Sandra, have a good time at WW! I'm assuming Saundra is going in to work for a while, and Sandra, be sure to report back on how it was.

Kimberley, it's good to see you! Where on earth have you been??? Don't leave us like that!

My toes are giving me a bit of a hard time this morning. One has feeling back and since that's the only one I can feel, it seems like it's "out of line". I keep on trying to move it back but it's already there! Hard to explain but it's driving me batty!

Judd left around 7 this morning. I learned a long time ago that if there's something he wants to do, he'd better get to do it or everyone will be miserable. I believe that's what we call spoiled, and mummy and daddy did it, so daddy shouldn't be too surprised! I'll be fine and both girls are off Saturday and Sunday. Kate asked me last night if I wanted to go to dinner tonight because she's only working until 6 today. I'm not sure if I should because I'm in quite a bit of pain and have no more medicine. I did remember that Judd had some Lortab from when he had that lipoma cut out of his head back in the fall. Maybe I'll go see if I can find them and if so, I'll take one.

I'm not sure how I'll make it at work next week. The neighbor (medical supply guy) told me last night he could get me a new wheelchair if I wanted it. The one I have is fine as long as someone else is there to fold it up and put it in the truck. It's too heavy for me to do all that while standing on one foot. Judd said he would get up early and we could ride together next week so I guess that'll be fine. I'd rather drive myself in case I can't make it all day, but he'll just have to bring me home if I need it.

Alright, off to find drugs now. I can't take this anymore.
  • Kathy, I understand about Judd. We pick them up after parents fixed them for us . Did your doctor call back about the refill? It will be nice to spend quality time with the girls. Oh, how I miss that in my life. I adore my boys, but wish I had a daughter to share with. I am going in to work for a little while. I want to see how end of week is done, since I'll be doing it next week.

I'm sorry that Jim is so ill. It's probably a bug, but of course the timing is crappy. Vikie, hang in there, you're doing fine.

Melissa, guess you'll start organizing the move soon. Give yourselves enough time and it won't be overwhelming. Our kids are puting their house on the market next week and hopefully will come here for the long Easter weekend to see what's on the market here.

Frouf, Bernie and I have been to the jazz club on Besserer. We went last year on a Sunday afternoon. Someone (I think bass) from Russia was giving a show. I think we were the only ones speaking English. You've got lots to look forward to tonight. I love surprises, but Bernie has a hard time waiting and usually gives gifts early. I've got just under four weeks for mine, and I am getting older.

Sandra, so how did it go? Waiting....
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FROUFY!!!!!! sounds like a lot of well-deserved celebrations for our favorite froufy. enjoy!!

i'm home from my ww rebirth celebration. changed my tracker. i have a core lunch in the making. afterwards curtis and i are going to test drive the travel trailer. the excitement is brewing.

melissa, you can come here and clean if you'd like. lol i can feel your excitement brewing.

saundra, i was up 9.2 lbs from when i was last there jan. 20. to make myself feel better i have been thinking of all the trips we've made during this time. i'm all right about the gain and am ready to be reborn.

vickie, so you're human? just dust yourself off. you'll be all right. i think you're doing amazingly well with all you and jim have going on right now.

kathy, the meeting was good. there weren't too many there, though. i guess the new year's resolutions have worn off already. the topic was managing "to go" foods. my gf suggested nibbling on sugar pea pods while driving.

got to go. the timer's telling me lunch is ready. have a great day, all.
  • Kate found the contraband pills for me so I took two of them and am starting to get some relief. She left for work but is only working four hours today and wants to go to dinner (I know I already said that -- don't worry that I'm starting to repeat) but I really don't think I should. Maybe I'll send them to Chilies or Applebees with my debit card and we can get food to go. I hate it that the fridge is so full but everybody is tired of it. I should get Shaun or Erin to help me clean it out. I can sit in the wheelchair and point. Someone also needs to vacuum or sweep the dog hair. Funny how nobody notices that I clean it every day, but when it isn't cleaned for two weeks it sure is noticeable! I always said if I left, I wouldn't be missed until they started getting hungry. At least the kids all wash their own clothes, but Judd has learned how to do a lot of things in the last two weeks.

Sandra, I'm glad you had a positive experience this morning. You have had quite a bit of travel lately but now that the season is over and spring is here, you should be just fine. I can sense determination there so I have no doubt that you'll start seeing some results very soon! Oh and Judd says the same thing about the gym. In January and February it was so crowded he couldn't even get a good parking spot and now it has thinned out significantly.
  • Saundra, I was looking at the birthday list earlier and noticed you weren't on there. I went to look for your profile and couldn't find it -- now what's up with that???
  • Bad Bad Saundra - now go stand in the corner (unless you have completed your profile!).

Kathy - hope you get something super yummy for dinner - and about that floating toe? Maybe too many pain pills? ha ha ha ha (okay I couldn't resist)

Sandra - I am so proud of you for going back to WW and rededicating yourself. What a brave and strong choice you have made - sounds like you are getting back on track. I am hoping to get the motivation soon to follow in your footsteps (footstep? ha ha).

Vickie - how is Jim doing? I hope whatever it was is disappearing. Given the stress you have recently been under you are doing extremely well. Make sure to take care of yourself too!

Our lunch out was loads of fun as we had a blast w/our chef and his cooking antics. Then back to work - for bday cake! Yay - yes a big honking chocolate cake, filled w/strawberries, covered in whipped cream and decorate w/big chocolate covered strawberries! Very yummy. I am still pretty full and hope dinner out is fairly late!

Dh is scaring me with this bday present situation. Seems he has been out all day getting it together and frankly he can think up some unusual stuff. When I asked him if I needed lessons for my gift he said YES! Says I can use it without lessons too tho? Sounds too complicated for me - just give me a pair of pink socks w/some bunnies on them and I'm happy!

He is off now w/little ds to get a cake (like I need more cake!) just to have an official candle lighting and singing event for the kiddies (and gifts?). Then the 2 of us will go out for dinner later - maybe a movie? (altho I am feeling pretty tired today and yawning a lot).

Sounds like dd did head off to school today around 11 am as she was feeling better. And big ds just had last university class before his exams in the next 2 weeks!

Tomorrow is shopping w/dd (whoopee) then our hair appts at 2 pm. I think dd is going to a sleepover tomorrow night so dh and I and little ds are on our own. Sunday is the chocolate seder at our synagogue - yes like I need more sweets - planning to take dd and little ds - should be fun.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend (altho it is gloomy, gray and rainy here!).

    Birthday Frouf
  • kathy, our fridge is overflowing with stuff, too. we actually had a good core lunch. let us know what you decide for dinner. we have an applebees here but no chilis. no red lobster or olive garden either. we're deprived.

    saundra, when's your bday, girl?

frouf, sounds like you're having a good birthday. makes me smile.
  • Sandra, I'm so delighted with your enthusiasm. As an "official" WW lady, I'm here for you hon. I weighed in today and am down five for the month, for a total of thirty.

Frouf, your day is sounding grand. I'm even excited about the gift, can't wait to find out. Tomorrow, we're going to see V is for Vendetta, which ds said is good, and Bernie really wants to see. We're off to Terra Grill for dinner after that? Which syagogue do you go to? We're not members, but I'm lucky to have a friend who loves to have the dinners with us. Our grandsons are almost the same age and it is so nice. We're starting the cooking on Sunday.

Kathy, have the pills kicked in? Sounds like you and the kids will be fine for the weekend. You can sit in the chair and show Shaun what it's like to take orders from a superior.

So, my birthday is May 3rd and I'm going to be 61. The kids did a wonderful party last year. It felt good.

I spent an hour and half at WW again, and feel more comfortable about the procedures. I told my co-worker that I don't want to steal time from her, so I will work a half day a week and be on call other times. That's fine for now, cause I actually like my time off. Maybe down the road I'll consider doing leader training.

Okay lets see what there is to eat
  • Frouf, your birthday is sounding better and better! I think he's getting you a HORSE for your birthday! Riding lessons are optional, of course, but recommended! You'd better come back as soon as you can to tell us what the big surprise is!

I just got up and directed the big fridge cleanout; it looks much better in there now. Shaun is emptying all the trashcans and that'll help too. I can't stand living in a mess but there's nothing I can do about it. More pity party ... I just can't stop complaining, can I???

Judd called and they got to Arkansas okay. He was just checking in and said he'd call back later. I hope he isn't feeling too guilty because really, there's no need for him to sit and hold my hand all weekend. He loves being outside and loves riding his motorcycle, so I am okay with him going as long as I'm being taken care of, and I am.

Kate is having another fit with yet another apartment. She called to check on it, and it seems the person who was getting everything approved quit their job, so nothing has been done. They were going to try to move tomorrow! She's scrambling around to get paystubs (things the person who quit was supposed to be doing) and get the electricity turned on. If Kate wants to move this weekend, she'll have to get her dad to help because I can't do it, Shaun isn't going to drive Judd's truck, and her little Mazda won't hold all of her stuff. I doubt her dad would come over here (he hates me) but she has another friend who has a truck and hopefully that guy can help.

Just my little afternoon update. I hope everyone's doing well.
  • Saundra, down 5 for the month!! Woohoo, girlie, it's time to stop now! You'd better go eat some Fig Newtons so you can stabilize your weight!
