OK, the verdict is in, and it's good! The inspector said that he rarely sees houses in such good condition. There were only a few very minor things that he found, none of which we are very concerned about or didn't already know. It was a great report!

I'm really happy about it. Now I'm just worried something will go wrong with our loan.

Melissa, Congratulations! I bet you are feeling better now. The loan should be just fine, after all, you were pre-approved.

Kathy, you are a real trooper. I'm trying to picture your bath, and it gives me a chuckle. I agree that sometimes what our kids don't do is partly our making. They do sound like they are coming through now, and that's good.

Sandra, I picture you and Curtis as real "love birds". My lord, if we can't complain a little, then we're not human. Good that you have plan B for Friday, you sound very determined.

Frouf, where was the Russian jazz club? It's a milestone to get those braces off. None of my kids went through it. Hope someone has dinner waiting when you come home.

Angela, how wonderful to start a garden now. It's so cold here that I can't even think about it. I did speak to a lady at a place near here, and I'm going to pick out flowers for a big container that I got last year. I figure if I do it now, I won't be disappointed, as they run out early. Hope the wrist is feeling better.

Vickie, we care so much about what's going on with you and Jim, and always want to know how you both are doing. We are a fraternity here, and how lucky were are for that. I do hope that you are feeling okay.

I'm a lot better today. I took a couple of extra strength Advil last night and the pain wasn't so bad. I guess when they worked on me, some things got loose, and are getting back into place. I am doing exercises every few hours. She also told me that I have to make an effort not to "favour" the foot, as I have developed a limp. This puts extra pressure on it.

Ds and Natan are coming for dinner. I'm looking forward to the visit. Bernie is working till 9:00.

I worked four hours at WW, and I'm going to go solo next week for a few hours on Thursday. I'll go in a couple more times, just to feel more confident. I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Okay, I'm going to make a cup of tea now,

kathy, another saying of frank's "holy crap!!" i'm having trouble bathing, too. i'm a shower girl. i have this rubber boot type thingee that comes up over my knee and keeps my foot dry. do you have one of those? i don't think you could submerge it in a tub but it would make keeping dry easier while "hanging" over the edge.

i took a pain pill this afternoon and slept a long time, too. now i'm ready to watch my shows tonight. my pity party is over. i have me figured out. i was wanting--really really wanting!!!--junk food and curtis didn't produce. maybe i need to be "helpless" more often and i'd lose weight.

melissa, congrats on your good news. okay, when will you be closing?

saundra, i hope the advil helps. i'm to start taking tylenol. wish you were working at the ww here in missoula.

Sandra, I had to do it again (the pill thing). Erin came home between classes and I told her I was out of cookies. She laughed and said she'd pick me some up on her way home. I hadn't eaten Fig Newtons for a zillion years and the other day got a weird craving for them. She bought me some but I only ate 4-5. Now I'm wanting more and someone else already finished them off.

After she left, I took another dose of medicine and was out like a light again. I slept for an hour or so and woke up with it still hurting. I still have no sensation on the bottom of my foot, but the sides are really killing me, more today than any other day. Hopefully the pain means it's starting to heal. Who knows?

I sent Shaun off with my debit card to get a haircut. He wanted to borrow Judd's clippers but they don't really work well, so I told him to go somewhere and I'd pay for it.

I'm a little hungry but nauseated again, so I better not eat. When someone gets here I'll get my water bottle refilled and hide my cookies in the nightstand drawer.

Thanks on the congrats everyone. I'm quite excited. Things seem to be going well. I'm putting in our 30 day notice for our townhouse tomorrow.

Kathy and Sandra, I'm sorry that you were both hurting and had to take the meds today. I remember after having back surgery, I just hated taking them because of the strange sensations and unstoppable sleepiness!! I hope that you are both feeling better by now, and hope that both of you have better luck showering/bathing!

Fig Newtons sound good. I'm craving real popcorn for some reason. Like the kind you get at Target's little in-store cafe. It's like movie theater popcorn and so good.

Saundra, I hope that you are having a nice visit with your family tonight. It sounds like you are making progress at work. I think that would be a nice/fun job to have. Think of all the people you will be able to encourage!

Frouf, I hope that all went well with getting the braces off. It is a momentous occasion indeed!

Vickie, I hope that you all are having a great day and that you are relaxing.

I guess I'm signing off for the night. I hope to sleep but somehow doubt it since I took so much medicine today. Judd brought me a real coke on the way home from bowling; I thought maybe it would help settle my stomach. I was starting to relax but then realized Shaun isn't home with my debit card. The haircut place closed at 8 p.m. which means he's off at some bar. If he loses it or gets in trouble, I'm going to be plenty mad. Now I have something else to worry about. Good grief!

Good Morning Chicks! I slept until 6:45 which was great. We had a nice quiet evening.

We are geting ready for the pickup of our old entertainment center some time today. I thought I had it all timed perfectly but sometimes the best laid plans don't work out. The new entertainment center was supposed to come tomorrow. Well it's not finished so it won't be here until a week from tomorrow. So, we'll be watching TV for at least a week in the living room and hoping that the DVR will work in there. Not life's worst problems but annoying since we're already a bit agitated! I'm going to try to have the new TV delivered a week from Saturday and the new cable stuff on Monday. Good luck to me. In the meantime, I have to go clean up the old entertainment center. I thought I was such a thorough cleaner but there sure was alot of dust!

I was very lukewarm about American Idol last night. They had all been so bad, ecept for Chris IMHO, that I really didn't care who went home. I hear their is outrage about Mandissa but I haven't liked her song choices for the last two weeks.

I'm going to go read the posts now to see what I missed yesterday afternoon and evening.

Melissa, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am SO happy for you and Aaron. I just love your little blue house. I'm so glad that there weren't any problems found in the inspection. I really believe that this house was meant for you and Aaron! I'm sure your loan will be approved but I understand why you are anxious. Everyone is anxious until the approval process is over. I can't wait to see more pictures once you move in. How do you feel?

Kathy, the mental picture of you trying to take a bath would be hysterical if it were in a sitcom! I'm sure it's just awful for you and I'm sure that I am not agile enough to manage it on my own. So I'd have to be hungry, thirsty, AND smelly if I lived in your house! I'm glad that your family is stepping up a little bit more. I just worry about you and am really praying that your ankle heals they way it is supposed to. I love taking baths. I almost always take a bath and then a shower every day. When I really need to destress, I take a nice long soak with a book and some water. Speaking of stress.....I hope Shaun came home with your card and didn't use it for more than the haircut! Were you able to sleep?

Sandra, I'm SO very proud of you for going back to WW. Most of all, I'm very proud of you that you will go on Friday whether or not your GF goes with you. I started WW by myself this last time because I knew that I needed to be able to do this just for me. I didn't want to feel like I could quit if my GF did. I know you are going to be sucessful. I knew that you were just venting about Curtis. I know he's usually very good about taking care of you. Not many men would launder anything, let alone stain treat bloods stains. He just might be a keeper! As for the pity party, don't we all indulge from time to time? I feel like I've been attending regularly for the last 5 or 6 months. I think it's good to get it off of your chest so that you can move on. I hope you feel great this morning. I don't know how well we are handling things but we are trying to be as normal as possible. I think the distraction of all the TV/entertainment center stuff might be helping.

Saundra, you be a WW pro in no time. You're a smart lady and you'll be training newbies yourself someday, I'm sure. I have no doubt that the PT can make the target body part hurt more in the beginning. It's good that the Advil are working. Thanks so much for your sweet thoughts for me and Jim. We're trying to be normal and I think we are succeeding.

Frouf, how are you? Did you get some rest? I hope Emily got her braces off (I'm still trying to figure out why she cares if they knew she was getting her braces off. It's not like she'd have them the next time they saw her?) I'm also hoping little DS is feeling better and that he doesn't have the flu or something horrible. I'm sure sick kids are no fun!

Well, I have to go eat breakfast so I can shower and get ready. We have NO idea when the guys are coming to get the entertainment center. I have to be down here to schmooze them into moving the TV from the family room into the living room. Jim is not a schmoozer....that's my job!

I also need to call the Doctor to make an appointment for me. I'm hoping they'll let me come in tomorrow after Jim's CT scan. We'll see.

I'm sure I'll be back later to check on all of you!

Morning all! I have a busy morning planned. I'm leading a parenting group this morning on secondhand smoke and how it affects children.

Vickie, it is so good to hear you sounding like you are in better spirits. I hope that all goes well with your pick-up today. Oh, and I meant to tell you that our house isn't blue! It's got green trim/garage door. But I hope that you like it anyway.

Kathy, I hope that Shaun came home quickly with your card and that there wasn't any trouble. I hope that you have a great day today!

Off to prepare for group...

Melissa, I bet you are a wondeful leader. I hope your group picks up on the topic. Our first house had green trim.

Vickie, I too am the schmoozer in the house. What would they do without us? I don't like the in between stage either, but soon it will all be in place and you and Jim will be enjoying your new environment.

Kathy, I hope Shaun has come home. Try not to worry. Were you able to sleep last night? It's miserable when sleep paterns get screwed up.

Sandra, how are you doing? Will the Tylenol be enough for the pain? Big day tomorrow, I'm excited for you.

Frouf, how did it go yeserday? Were you busy with your Amazing Race?

I was up during the night, most likely thinking about what I DON'T know for next week. I can't believe how hyper I am. Maybe I was just ment to be a home body. Anyhow, I'll get through it, and will read up in my manual. My PT is at one and then I'll hang out at WW.

Now, it's time to see what needs to be done around here,

Well, I'm sitting here all showered and dressed. I'm trying to be patient and not call and bug the place about when they are going to be here. I'll wait about an hour before I do that. It's just so silly that they make you sit and wonder when they'll be here. We are as ready as we can be for them to come.

Melissa, sheesh, the roof and the garage door looked blue to me in the picture. But I love green too! I especially love emerald green which is my birthstone. I'd love to be at your seminar because I'm thinking you could make a boring topic interesting. I'd be happy if the whole world was nonsmoking. I'm the worst kind of ex-smoker ever. I quit 16 years ago in July. I wanted to date Jim and suspected that he wouldn't have dated a smoker. I was right! Boy oh boy, I can hardly believe we'll be married for 15 years in November. Time really does fly when you are having fun!

Saundra, your just having "change" anxiety. I would have it too if I had to learn all new things. You are just a person who wants to succeed and there is nothing wrong with that! Try to not let it make you lose sleep though.

Well, I'm going to get off of here now and go watch some more DVR'd TV. We don't know yet if we'll lose our programs once we unplug the DVR and we don't know if we will be able to use the DVR in the living room with the different cable. We only pay for digital cable in the family room. We might have to go back to tapes for a week or so. That would be horrible after being used to DVR!

Good morning! I slept for a while this morning then woke up when the phone rang. It was the recruiter calling for Shaun to make arrangements to pick him up this afternoon for a meeting, and to also tell him that he needs to do another fitness assessment on him in the morning. I don't know when he got home because the door was opening and closing all night (we have the door chimes turned on at all times) and the last time was at 6:45 this morning. I have no idea who that would have been. I'm about to get up and go yell at him now to call the chief back.

I don't know why I wake up in pain every day. I guess I should go back to sleeping in the big boot.

It is raining and thundering outside. It sounds good but will be a pain if it keeps raining all day and the dogs have to go potty. I'm not in the mood to mop up little doggy prints in the kitchen.

Vickie, that's good that the TV and entertainment center situation is moving along, but I also don't like the timing mix-ups. Hopefully you'll have something to watch for a week until it all gets fixed back.

Melissa, enjoy your group. That's an important subject that I think isn't talked about enough to some people. I always get so furious when I see people smoking a car with small children inside.

Saundra, you sound like just enough of a worrier to do a great job! I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck at therapy. Are you going to mention how badly you hurt the other day after they worked on you?

Sandra, where are you? Frouf, how do those toofies look? Is she pleased with the results? And I'm like Vickie -- the office people are going to know as soon as they look at her that she got them off. Maybe it's a big school and they don't know her from the next school but if that's the case, it wouldn't matter anyway. Sometimes kids' thinking is hard to understand but that's okay. At least you wrote the new note.

I think I'll go yell at Shaun, find my debit card and then make myself an egg. I'll be back later. Have a good day, everybody!
