Back again this morning here with a resolve to try to stay a good girl all day! Wish me luck!
By the way, Andrea, I'd like to hear more about your "one day off a week" and how long you've done that and if you are still having losses. I kind of do that on Saturdays in a way...

the grands had a good time. grandpa and i are exhausted now and are waiting on them to go home. i know that doesn't sound nice but that's the way it is. it's nice having grands so you can send them home when you get tired.
OMG - I just had to comment on this - I feel the same way when my parents are here!!!!
Had "a not so good day" yesterday with eating , but that was the end of the grad parties and I can manage for a while now.....next weekend is the celebration of my parent's 50th here at my house and I have control of where we eat......the following weekend is a celebration of my MIL's 80th at a cabin up north and I hopefully will be doing so well by then, I will manage for that weekend.....
I agree with what someone said (still trying to keep up here!) about Core foods keeping you feeling great and when you eat the other stuff, you feel horrible.....why do we do it??? I just have to follow the program and detox myself this week.
Spending the day with the family.....we are going out on the boat for the afternoon - DHs choice since it is Father's Day!!!
Hi to everyone here - you all sure are a wealth of information! And thanks for the snack idea's!
Cincy, I said that last night, but it's probably been said here time and time again.
I hope to spend today totally on CORE with no junk. My stomach is still making me pay for last night's indescretions!

Good Morning Ladies! I'm up and feeling great. Every one of my 35 points are gone for this week so I'll be on the straight and narrow until Thursday, drinking oodles of water, and making sure to exercise. I don't think I've ever used all my points before. Kind of scary! I never use AP's and I'm going to try not to start now!
Today should be kind of quiet for me and Jim. We have to take care of the pool today and cook on the BBQ. Other than that, just some laundry and me planning for next wek. Planning is SO important. I've been slacking off a bit and it is NOT a good thing on Core.
I am SO behind!
Vivian, congratulations on your loss and keep up the good work!
Angela, party, party, party! You are one creative and amazing woman. Will you move here so I can have a local friend like you? You can move Mom and the whole family here too. I'm thinking they must be fun like you too. Your party sounds fabulous.
Linda, you gotta do what you gotta do girlfriend. We will ALWAYS be here to support you!
Sandra, I certainly understand the exhaustion with the grands but mine is with the greats! Love them to pieces but they sure make us pooped! I keep telling my Niece that I don't know how she does it. We sat with them yesterday and then Niece and her DH wanted to go out for dinner and we went with. Of course, they treated us to dinner for watching the kids last week (when we had to get up at 4:15) and for today. We tried to pay but they wouldn't let us. Then they came back here after dinner for a visit. I think Jim and I were asleep on the couch before they got out of our subdivision! I'm sorry your feet are still hurting. Gotta be good to them! I hope you hung in there with your eating yesterday. It sounded like you wanted to throw in the towel. I've had a few of those myself lately, even though I have nearly 9 months on Core under my belt. You'd think it would be a way of life for me by now. Niece and DH brought Culvers ice cream for dessert here. Everyone but me. I LOVE ice cream and felt deprived. So I ate a 4 point SF ice cream bar and used the last of my points but still felt kind of bad. I'm over it this morning though! I thought CF diet cokes were ok and could be counted as good fluids? You still need at least 6 glasses of plain water but I consider all my decaf fluids as good. What do you all think?
Kathy, my yard is ugly and disgusting. I could use someone like you with imagination. I'm hoping next year that I'll be more able to work in the yard. It is just TOO hard at my current weight. I am NOT going to fight my belly to try to do yard work. Although, it is great exercise. It sounds like you had a great eating/drinking day yesterday. I hope the scale rewarded you this morning. We have no Father's Day Plans. My Daddy has been gone since 1978 when I was 22 and Jim was only 13 when he lost his Dad and since we have no kids, we'll just be spending a quiet day here. All of you kiss your Dad's once extra for me!
NH Linda, sorry you're tummy is making you pay for eating non-Core. Nothing much you can do about the bad eating day yesterday except start over. That's all we do is hop back on the wagon, drink extra water, and try to get some extra exercise.
Cindy, you too! Not to worry. Just hop back on.
I'm off to start some laundry. Have a great day everyone!
Morning, all! Yippie, I'm down 2 pounds from yesterday morning! I knew I had a lot of water and salt bloat and hopefully it's on its way out the door! This morning I had an egg and a piece of sausage, but am now enjoying my coffee. I've already had two big glasses of water, too! I am determined to stick to something, even if it's just my resolve to drink nothing but water and lots of it! I know that'll go a long way towards me feeling better.
DH is playing golf this afternoon and then we'll head over to Fort Worth. I'll call my dad in a while; meanwhile I should get up and out into the yard before it's too hot. Right now there's a nice cloud cover but I'm sure it won't last.
Then we have the Air Force in for meetings this week, so I have to make sure DH and I have plenty of business things to wear. Of course that also means lunches catered in ... not what I need right now. I saw the plans that the Admin was making though and it looks like it'll be do-able. There should be lots of salad, but I might have to take some chicken or HB patty to supplement. Tuesday night after work we're having a party at someone's house (customer is invited) and they're grilling hamburgers so I'll be fine there.
My list for today: Plant more flowers, do the laundry, empty the DW and refill, clean out the litterbox, gather up all the trash from wastebaskets, go get my hair done this afternoon (just shampoo and blow dry) and that's it. The rest of the time I'll be in front of the TV or computer, taking it easy.
Hey guys! I don't have a lot of time to respond to everyone, but just wanted to "peep" in and say hi. I also wanted to applaud Kathy, you sound so determined, like you have a renewed determination! You go girl.
Vickie, hope you enjoy your day of rest.
Cindy, have fun on the boat!
Sandra, be good to your feet today!
And everyone else, have a great one! I'm sure I'll be back this evening after Father's Day events are all over.
Hey I wanted to check in and mention something. I'll be back later with more details ... if it works out, that is ... but I'm marinating chicken to grill. We won't eat it today but I'll stick it in the fridge to take for lunches. Anyway, I had put some soy sauce and Mrs. Dash on it and was about to walk away when I thought about adding some Coke Zero. So I poured that on top and in the bottom of the pan, then added a little bit of olive oil and some Tony Cachere's seasoning. NOW it's marinating and DH will grill it in a while. If it's good, I'll be sure to come back and report.
good morning. i just have a second here. we're leaving (just the 2 of us this time) to go shoot another loop at the tournament. i am taking strawberries and bananas, but all they have up there for us to eat is hot dogs, burgers, and chili. none is core but they aren't very tasty so they shouldn't count as too many pts. i figured 7 for the burger yesterday.
vicki, i'm proud of you for choosing the 4 pt ice cream. be proud of yourself. zig ziglar says for us not to think of our costs but think of our benefits. does that help?
Kathy, I'm always up for new ideas, especially marinades. I never heard of the seasoning you mentioned. I hate plain old chicken so I'm anxiously awaiting your review.
Sandra, hope you have fun and are kind to your tootsies! Curtis and Jim have that standing by the door thing down, don't they!
I hate to be rushed! I wish Judd would stand by the door and wait but no, he goes and sits in the car and waits. At least the AC/heater is already on, but when he starts honking, well ... needless to say I don't like that.
Around 3:00 the shade will be in the front of the house, and hopefully the grass will be dry too. He turned on the sprinklers this morning to check all the heads before setting the timer. It's not going to rain at all this week and temps will be in the high 90s, so we'd better just admit to ourselves that it's summertime and our "crops" need water! It's a pretty expensive crop, and none of it can be eaten! Anyway, I'll go do my planting then and should be finished in time to go to Fort Worth.
I got 5 hibiscus-eseses ... that's the plural of hibiscus, in case you didn't know! Also got some varigated monkey grass for a section of border that's by the pink crepe myrtle, one daylily to go besides the other one that came up from last year. I had forgotten about it, and now it looks lonely. And I got some regular monkey grass for another section that I accidentally scalped while pulling out some grass that was trying to get in the flowerbed. Oops! It would eventually spread but for now, there's a noticeable gap.
Judd isn't going to play a full round of golf, but is going to the driving range later so at least he won't be dog tired for the dinner tonight. He also needs to grill my chicken before he goes.
Congrats to all that have lost weight. L.J., what is the 'wendies' system? I've never heard of it.
Well, I found 3 of the 7 pounds I lost. I don't know if it had anything to do with TOM, or the fact that I'm freaking out over a growth on the back of my head!
My girlfriend was cutting my hair two weeks ago and asks, "what the h*ll is that on the back of your head?" My first thought was holy crap I have bugs!!! No, ....that would be a raised area, with an irregular border that is between the size of a penny and nickel. It wasn't there 3 months ago.
So, I have a surgical appt. this Weds. with a dermatologist to have it biopsied. (I had squamous cell cancer in the past, on my torso, which was easily cured by cutting it out.) I'm just freaked about having needles stuck in my head to numb it, and the cutting. I really like my new haircut and color, and a little bald spot wasn't part of my plan.
Of course, the spot couldn't be on my big fat butt, where maybe I could get a deal for creative sculpting, nooooooooooo, it's got to be on the back of my head! I just need to shut up and be grateful she saw it I guess.
I did follow core, just loosely a couple of days. Back to the grind today though! Thanks for the encouragement on the exercise board. I actually did exercise 3 times! That's certainly a record for me!
This week should be lovely. I have a rhuematology appt. tomorrow, the derm appt. Weds, and my son has a counseling appt. Thurs. I'll certainly be a part time employee this week. At least I get paid for my time off. That's a blessing.
And yes, I would like some cheese with my whine. Preferably that really expensive kind (14.99 a pound), that I can't pronounce the name, nor afford. I guess if you can't say it, maybe you don't deserve to buy it! I'm off to update my signature. I can see I forgot to save it.
Wishing all a strong and productive week.
