Sandra, I hope that you aren't too worried about that pound. I think that we are at a disadvantage w/i at home b/c we don't know the ounces, etc. I probably didn't really lose 2# this week, but like 1.5 or something. You know what I mean? And you may not have really gained an entire pound. Anyway, I'm rambling but I hope that you won't be too worried about it. You will probably walk it and a few more off this weekend.

Kathy, hope that you got all of your chores done!

Cher, sounds like your kids are going to have a heck of a summer! And our fingers will be crossed that Elvis thrives in his new habitat.

NH Linda, your lunch sounds good. I will have to make some potato chips when I have the time. Yum!

Vickie, glad that you got yourself onto the treadmill.

Terry, hope that you have a good time doing your remodeling this weekend. Do you run all of your miles or do you run/walk? I am just so impressed by what you do. Thanks for the little celebration too.

Well thanks everyone for the congrats. I have been so happy about it all day. So happy in fact that I have been eating m&ms. Oh well. I think I am going to have some and popcorn--the sweet and salty combo is so delicious...so at least half of the snack will be core! Also got a diet coke with splenda. I like that stuff a lot.
I'm not sure what's up with me today, I am absolutely exhausted. I fell asleep after eating supper for a little while. DH stayed home from work and now we are watching "The Aviator" which I have no intention of staying awake through. I hope that my tiredness is not a sign that I'm getting sick.
Well I know I missed some people here, I'm sorry! and for you all!

Hey Girls! Just back from dinner and thought I'd pop in to say hi. Jim is watching the Sox game but I promised him my attention tonight so I can't stay long. I had a great dinner (garden salad, sirloin steak, mashed potatos, grilled zucchini/squash/red onion). They were great to me at this restaurant. Answered all my questions and were careful not to put any oil or butter on my stuff. They even tried to estimate for me how much butter would be in a serving of potatos. We had alot of fun with our friends. It was a sports bar and so we got to watch the first hour and a half of the Sox game. That's how we all met when we all had season tickets. It was fun. We're going to our first game this year next Wednesday. We are all looking forward to it.

Well, hope you're all having a great start to your weekend. I've got lots of errands to do tomorrow. I'm babysitting for the Niece while her DH is at work so she can go get her hair done, plus my other errands.

Talk with you all tomorrow.

Vickie, your dinner sounds really great! You have such great discipline when you go out to eat. I'm bad about just "assuming" and hoping for the best. I hope that you have fun babysitting tomorrow! Have a good night with your sweetie!

Why thank you! I intend on giving my chick much more fluff!

Just a side note: I have drank over 100 ounces of water today. I really don't pay attention to how much I drink, I am just always thirsty!! I wonder if I could up it to 200 ounces and lose more weight! Just kidding.

I just realized that I drank alot today too! I normally shoot for 80 ounces. Today I had 100! I'm trying to wash the pizza and the mashed potatoes out!

Good evening everyone! We went out tonight and saw Batman Begins. It was surprisingly good - I went in there a bit unwilling, because I didn't like the other Batman movies, but this one was OK. I ate a half a bag of popcorn, and now my stomach hurts. I think it's too much fat, because I also had some bacon with dinner. Blah. A nice juicy watermelon sounds really good right now.

I'm going to bed right now. I'm exhausted today - getting up early to work in the garden and fighting a cold is taking its toll.

Nighty night!

Sandra, just looking at the recipes you posted recently. I was looking at the biscuit recipe and wondered if you thought there was something I could use other than oat bran? I have all of the other ingredients but honestly don't even know what oat bran is. Just wondering what your opinion is about that.

Angela, I hope you feel better! We went to a BBQ place tonight and although I didn't overdo it, something didn't agree and I rolled home very miserable. Judd was laughing at me because I was walking around moaning. Apparently, it was quite unattractive according to him.

Have a good night!

melissa, i don't really know what could be subbed for oat bran. (it's in the hot cereals in the store. i think?) i haven't made those biscuits either. i don't have any oat bran but i do have oat bran mix from south haven farms. i may try making them with that. let me know if you make them and if you like them.

angela, your evening sounds like fun. it's odd how we tend to lean toward healthier choices now, isn't it? (i hope it lasts.)

kathy, i'm sorry you got sick eating bbq. that's a bummer.

vickie, you did great. i am proud of you.

well, i'm off here for the evening. i'll be back tomorrow afternoon. till then--keep on keepin' on.

back from weigh in. I lost 4.2# which is only 0.2 lb away from where I was before we went on vacation. Stuck to Core this week, even though we went out a couple of times, got in a lot of water. I do have a problem with fluid retention, and have stopped eating Cottage Cheese, because one cup has almost 1000 mg of sodium. Hope everyone is well, doing my day off cooking.

Unhappy This Isn't Working for me!

Mornin' all.....went to the early Saturday meeting 7:30 today.....weigh in was not good but I knew that....up again....no surprise there. Had a talk with my leader (who has become a friend) and together we decided I am just not a core candidate.
I will be doing points (and counting them Wendies Way) each day a different points value..... starting today and moving forward. I find it easier and less work. But that's just me. I have given Core the better part of 9 months (like giving birth) and I have not been successful with it. We are both to blame. I did points (Wendies Way) starting a year ago to the day today and was very, very successful, and felt great and lost every week. Started Core in Oct, and for some reason I went downhill from there. (my fault) The Core Plan is not to blame, it is me, and I have failed at all my attempts to stick with Core, and I can no longer have this failure plague my WW success of 55 lbs lost. I want them to stay lost
I admire all those here who are so successful with their day in and day out struggle. I commend you all
For me I 'can' live with being a points person. I have proven that. I find it easier and more in control and structured...AND I need structure and control. Guess you can say I am all about measuring and weighing. This "am I full am I satisfied- eat when you're hungry thing" has thrown me into a tizzy, and I am not a happy camper. My 8's went to 10s and NOW the 10's have gone to 12's....I don't think so!!!!! I can only speak for MYself, you all are doing wonderfully, that is why WW is a wonderful program....one size doesn't have to fit all.
It is not like me to fail like this, week in and week out. I have begun my WW (Wendie Plan) today....AND I will keep on keeping on..... and feel successful already Kind of like a new out look......
Frank's new pet name for me......Princess of Points .....He makes me laugh He is so supportive, it's amazing!!
I guess I will mosey over to a Points Support Board too and see what is happening there, or go over to Wendies Board too. I will of course read here too, I feel part of the group even though I CAN NEVER get here as much as you all Doesn't matter what program we are doing, we are all working to reach our own goals, be it personal, or Weight Watcher.
We all want to feel good about ourselves. Well that's the latest from here in S.Florida.....hope ALL the Saturday weighers are successful and everyone has great weekend...........Lj

Hi Ladies - I hope you won't mind me just popping in from time to time to post - I am here regularly reading all the posts and info, but by the time I am done with that - well whew! - you all move so fast!!!!!

I am supposed to start going to meetings next week with my friend who has been going since January - she goes on Thursdays, but I am thinking of heading in on Monday to get a jump on the week....then go again with her on Thursday. I have been *pretty much* following Core, but want all the specific details, which I am sure I don't have.....you all have been a great source of info tho.

Last night wasn't a good night - well it was, but not eating wise......we went to a new sushi restaurant.....well actually, when you think about it.....that really isn't bad......the sushi was wonderful and I really could count the minute amount of rice with points.....I had 1 - 1/2 beers and could count that as well, but it was after.......we went to Coldstone Creamery and I had never been there. Needless to say, it was awesome and I could not eat my whole little bowl........today is a grad party....it's always something, isn't it???

I do have a question - what do you all eat as snacks on CORE??? That is the only area I am having trouble with.....

Thanks ladies for all the info I get from you and WTG on all your wonderful losses and accomplishments this week!
