Hey! Fit, that just made me realize I hit my challenge goal too! I forgot about it bc when I hit 207 I changed my tickers to the next goals and I keep thinking mainly about Christmas..lol. Have I said how much I love Christmas?? Hmm.. Yes, I think I have.. LOL!!! Anyhoo, congrats!!! I'm sending you good vibes so you will be strong during those tempting times! :
Anna, I would but I'm whiny today with my headcold and kids all wired and crazy. Just can't make myself get on the tmill. I will keep my promise that I will do 15 mins a day the whole month of Dec. tho. Even when I'm out of town, I'll go walk around for 15 mins each day. I look weird, no one in my family exercises. But I don't care!!!!! I will MAKE myself do it anyway.
Nova, Happy Anniversary!!! That's cool!
I'm soooooooooo excited about next challenge I can't stand it. I think I'll get to my 197 or close for Christmas, then I set 182 for Valentine's Day and 174 for Spring break and 166 for Easter, etc. Just an estimate. But those will help me keep my eye on the ball.
I have to stay focused!!! I have clothes in I know 5 diff. sizes in my closet. 26, 24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14.. wait that's 7 sizes!!! OMG, how embarrassing. Some I bought on sale two years ago when I had lost to about this size and was looking forward to wearing them and then never got smaller! And 3 sizes I'm wearing now, some are baggy, some fit good and some are a little snug so I am not really wearing them yet I guess. Then one size I've been going thru and have even given some away. Now I can wear depending on how they are made, a 16/18 shirt or 18/20. Pants, uggh, I'm in a 20 or 22. But at beginning of the challenge was back in a 26!!!
I have a dress that is soooo pretty. Got it new at Torrid but end of season so got it for 9.00 and was originally 68.00. It's strapless, white with green flowers and it's a 14 but it's made big so I actually put it on the other day (yes, it's just a little stretchy, lol) and I'm excited to wear it for Easter this year. Should fit in it well by then, I hope.
Anyone else have clothes you are dying to wear??? It's great motivation for me I know. I hang it where I can see it when I go in my closet. Constant reminder.
Can't wait til weekend. Going to get lots of fresh grapefruits and limes and tomatoes and cucumbers and grapes, etc. Yummmmy! (hmm.. and maybe a banana or two!)
Another birthday down. Yesterday was my baby's 8th birthday. Yikes! Time is just flying by. Now, I just need to get through this trip next week, Our Anniversary, Christmas and company, then New Years. I had great plans for handling the cake and spaghetti yesterday, but my willpower wasn't up to full speed quite yet. I had a great on-plan day until dinner. Today, I'm going for it again. The good news is that I'm maintaining this week and not gaining. But, I'd like a loss. Keep your fingers crossed for me
Yesterday, I got my hair cut...at least 4 inches...almost back up to chin length. Boy, was my family ticked at me! But, I really like it. I feel all flirty and cutsey. And...the most exciting thing....Hubby and I got a home gym for Christmas! He found it on Craig's list for $150. Now, I can start strength training...especially, those leg muscles that support my knees. I've been avoiding the treadmill even though my doctor gave me the go-ahead to get back on. I'm really nervous about hurting my knees again. I'm so anxious to start working out on the gym and to start walking on the treadmill again, but I need to wait until I come home from my business trip next week. It wouldn't be much fun to have trouble walking through the airport with a suitcase....or, getting around at the office in Minnesota. Here, I work from home so its not much of an issue.
Selina and Fit - Congrats on making your challenge goals! On-the-Tee - I'm with you on the exercise issue....no extra movement with this old body means no downward movement on the scales! NoVaVTFan - Happy Anniversary! Hope you and your fiance enjoy your steak dinner. Yummy! Steak is my favorite meal. Selina - I have some incentive jeans hanging in my closet. I bought them about 3 months ago. I'd love to be able to wear them soon. Also, I have these visions of wearing really pretty sundresses this summer...some that show just a touch of skin.
Hope everyone has a great on-plan day!

Oh gals, these pics are great! I got The Paper of Doom done yesterday, so that leaves me with two more to do, and then I'm DONE on Dec 10th... Selina, you're right, it's sooo exciting. I always manage my life better when school is out, so I'm really looking forward to rededicating myself to good health.
I've been looking into the Best Life Diet lately, and thinking it might work well for me. I know how to eat right and exercise well, I just need the motivation to do it and a better understanding of why/how I gained weight and what is at the root of it! Anyone tried it before?
Chellez - glad you're enjoying the site!
Congrats to all who have met their challenge goal! Looks like I'll be ending around where I started, but next round I'm going to kick some booty.
Selina - you must be getting close to 100 days OP! How exciting and inspiring!
Fitin2008 - LOVE your suggestion about posting about what we've learned about ourselves... that's going to take some thinking and will probably help a TON in figuring out strategy for next challenge!

Hiya Bluesies . . . has been beyond crazy at work - GirlyGirlS & I are leading parallel lives w/o the travel part! Have been struggling but keeping my vow to exercise no matter what.
Not been totally on my game today, which is stupid because I have so enjoyed the days that I was. I will punish myself with extra time on the elliptical before I go out tonight.
Well we went house shopping yesterday and it was a little successful. The problem we are finding with our low budget is that the houses are either really nice in really bad neighborhoods or really crappy houses in good neighborhoods. We lucked out and found a for sale by owner house in a decent neighborhood and it ended up being really nice inside. So our agent is going to check on it for us. I may be moving by Christmas after all.
Making chicken pot pie for dinner. I'm kind of bogged down with my stuff today. I have accounting homework to finish along with a quiz, then we have to make the trip to Williamsburg Outlets to get my rings inspected under my warranty. When I get home I have tons of laundry to finish and a long review sheet for my physics test tomorrow night. So much to do so little time.
Hi gals - how's everyone's weekend going? Chellez - how exciting about the house! I hope it works out for you!
I've decided to go forward with the Best Life diet... I've read most of the book now, and it looks like Bob [Greene, not Bob from TBL] has a lot of the same philosophy about weight loss, nutrition, etc. as I do, which means I should be able to commit well! The first "phase" you're not to weigh yourself for 4 weeks (EEK), and since there are 5 weeks between the end of this challenge and the start of the next, I'll do it in the gap! Then I can really step it up for the new challenge.
I'm excited - is that nerdy? I've started thinking about some of the hard questions Bob asks in the book, and have been REALLY surprised at what's coming out.... no WONDER I haven't been as successful as I wanted to be this year, with the stuff I'm uncovering about myself. Sheesh.
What about all of you - staying with your current plan, trying something new, making a holiday-specific plan to get through the holidays and start the new challenge?

Glad you had a measure of success in your house hunt chellez - hope it works out.
Hiya practiceL . . . I'll be staying LC but find Bob to be so motivational (had never watched TBL until this Challenge) - so may pick up his Book - I could use some insight here in mid life ****.
Having a faboo weekend - been burning up the exercise & staying OP - got most of the 5lb gain off & going for the burn today.
who else can't believe that it is Dec 2????
Holy Cow!
I got a good work-out this morning...digging our driveway out from under a tonne of snow so that we could get to church!!
Chellez...good like with finding the perfect house....although, moving before Christmas seems like a very scary prospect!
I have been trying really hard to stay on plan this week...a couple of slip-ups, that hopefully won't have much of an impact.
My plan was to start decorating this after noon, but it has turned into a lazy Sunday afternoon .
Looking forward to a great weigh-in for the blue team tomorrow!!
Hi Bluezers!!! Will we be the biggest losers this week?? I hope so!! I'm contributing 4.5 lbs of loss (1 lb was from the week b4 when I forgot to post and it would have been 1), my highest tho since the first week, I think. Haven't looked at my numbers since last week, but going to post now. Tmrw is hectic so afraid I'll forget.
Well, tomorrow is Day 100!!!!! LOL. Down to 204.5, so down 30.5 lbs since challenge began. (down 72.5 total so far from highest) I'm going to 365 days. Then to infinity. But the 365 should get me to where I wanna go first. Can't wait til Christmas and getting into Onederland!!!
Chelle, I had a love/hate relationship with house hunting. It was fun, but it took forever to find this one, which we adore. Glad it's over for us. Hope u find one u love too soon.
Rhonda, I haven't read the other teams posts all along and I know only our team besides Melissa. I guess I'll get to know any new teammates the same as I did this time tho, right? It'll be fun. Wonder which color team we'll be on?? Weird.
Aud, congrats on getting most of the gain off. Feels good I know! Good that you exercise. I'm still not doing that enough. Glad u had a nice weekend!
Dea, it is going fast! I haven't done the yard yet and seems like Dec is flying by!! And that is a bummer!!
Practice, OMG, no that isn't nerdy! I'm soooo excited about this next challenge I'm on pins and needles!!! I neeeeed it so bad to keep me motivated. And now ur making me want to get that book. Sounds good, I like when they look at reasons for what we do to ourselves.

Well y'all I got in my favourite type of exercise today - the totally unexpected, unplanned kind! I walked down to meet a friend, get on the bus and go study at Starbucks.... only the busses weren't running because of the snow! So we ended up going for a nice 30-40minute walk to run errands and get to the 'bucks. Nice to spend some active time with this friend too, she's even more of a lazybones than I am!
Soon2BFitChick - CONGRATS!! Look at you go, 30.5lbs down this challenge, and 100days tomorrow - WOW. You rock, chica! Do you want me to post the three questions I'm working on? They reeeally tie back to our earlier team chat about our motivations, etc.
aud - good for you on going for a big finish! Also, sorry I wasn't clear earlier - this book I'm reading is a different but also inspirational Bob! This book is Bob Greene, I think he sometimes works with Oprah?
Dea - I am astonished that it is December already - where did this come from?!?! Isn't snow shovelling a crazy workout? to you for doing it!
