Hi everyone. My name is Erika. This is my second BL challenge. I was a proud Red Team member for the last one, too. I live in Arizona, have been married for 20 years and have a 20 year old son. We also share our lives with an Aussie cross dog and a formerly feral orange tabby cat.

I lost over 30 pounds in the last challenge. Then managed to put ten back on, thanks to moving, holidays and slipping back into old, bad habits. (And, boy, was it ever easy... ) I hope to finally, for the first time in nearly a decade get below 300 by the end of this challenge. It is doable, if I work hard, stick to my plan and don't let myself get derailed.

Overall, I have lost 70 pounds since June 4th of '08. So I am doing alright, methinks.

I want to give a quick shout out to Chellez. Thanks for getting this all rolling, again. And to Cat, thank you for stepping up and becoming our Fearless Leader. You gals rock.

I will do my best to keep up with the chat. And to do personals when I can. I suck at it... So, please forgive me if I don't, sometimes. It doesn't mean that I am not reading, paying attention or don't care. I just tend to get overwhelmed, can't think of the right things to say and well...

Well tomorrow is our first Monday, but no weigh in - but it's the official start of our first week and I thought maybe we should have a weeklong challenge to get us going. I am going to manage the challenge on a separate thread for those interested but I encourage you all to give it a try!

Aaand we're off!

Well, I managed to murder my scale a little earlier. I was drying and polishing my shower walls and tub after my shower and I stepped out of the tub without looking back. I stomped down hard on the edge near the dial of my scale. The thing jumped into the air and crashed down onto the floor. The needle was stuck midway round the dial and the platform is permanently stuck down. There is no fixing it. And even if there were, I don't know that I could ever trust it.

Drat it! That was a good scale. Accurate, had a high capacity and was easy to read, even with my bleary, pre caffeine morning eyes. I need to get out and find a new one. Hopefully, I can find one that is nearly as good and a price I can afford. *sigh* I am sooo mad at myself, right now.

Alright everyone I'm ready. Go Red Team!!! This is my second BL Challenge and I lost a total of 15 lbs on the last challenge but did gain a little over the holidays. My goal for this challenge is 10 lbs. I live in Nevada, have a 1 year little boy who I just adore and am getting married this July!!!! Yeah, I'm so excited and determined to look the best I can on wedding day. I journal my food and exercise and love to set little mini challenges and goals for myself. I look forward to getting to know everyone during this challenge.

Hi everyone!

I'm excited to be part of the Biggest Loser challenge! I joined 3FC in September, about a day after sign-ups for the last challenge started.. personally, I am very glad that there was another one so soon! Thanks to the leaders for organizing it.

My name is Rachel and I am an American living in South Korea. I live with my boyfriend of 2+ years and we are both English teachers.

I've been losing incredibly slowly as I try to figure out my new healthier eating and exercising lifestyle... I do well for awhile and then kind of fall off. It's like two steps forward and one step back.

I do calorie counting (er, DID... trying to get back into it and started yesterday at least keeping a food journal) and I restarted the 30 Day Shred yesterday too... I'm doing it in 20 days because in 20 days I leave for a southeast Asian beach vacation.... which, by the way, should I write in my FREEBIE for that week now or what?

I also have a gym membership but I haven't gone in two weeks! And it's across the street. Uh, the plan is to go today.

Anyways, I'm happy to be here. I'd love to lose 10% or more, so at least 16 lbs.

Cool Hi everyone!

Hi Red Team!

The Personal Stuff:
I'm Sonja or Soni. So far, unlike most listed here, I am not married, don't have kids and am not related to any military personnel (I do appreciate what they are doing, and wish them all safe returns back home). I'm gay, single and contemplating going back to school to get that B.S. in Wildlife Biology that I'm so close to completing.

I just turned 40 a couple of weeks ago, and although it doesn't bother me a bit, every once in a while I realize how old I am and I think "wow, I'm 40!" Oh yeah, I'm a warehouse supervisor who sometimes feels like a combination school principal / therapist / babysitter (really, they appeared to be adults when I hired them).

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The Weight Stuff:
I've been overweight for-e-ver (if you've seen Goonies, you know how to say that - )! I've lost and gained and lost and gained and am tired of yoyo-ing. This is my 3rd TBL Challenge (I think...), but I can never seem to make it to the end. This time, I'm in it until it's over (even though I have a cruise to Jamaica coming up at the end of February). Feel free to if I look to be slacking off or slowly fading away.

I don't follow a particular weight loss program, but use FitDay to journal my food and exercise. Flexibility is the only thing that works for me. So, 1350 to 2000 calories, < 300mg of cholesterol, < 2400mg of sodium and at least 30 minutes of exercise a day are my only rules. And, in addition to my gym workouts, I've been belly dancing for 2 years and have class every Wed. night. I live for Wednesdays!

I'm looking forward to going to the end and losing with you all. Let's go RED!

Mmm, red makes me think of Starbucks . Is it morning yet?

It's pretty interesting reading about how many different people we have! I look forward to getting to know you all better

As for me, this is my first challenge. I like to compete so I hope this will be a good way to kick my weight loss into gear. I live in MO with my fiancee and our friend. I'm also getting married this July! I love pets, and have too many to count. They like to keep me busy. Can't wait to see all the butt kicking we're going to do, mainly our own :-P

FYI Teammates, I will probably be using a freebie week on the 20th, (lets hope not) I am having minor surgery on the 13th, and will probably be bed ridden for a few days! But I will be back on track ASAP!

Hello RED TEAM!

I am looking forward to this challenge and the new season of TBL!! I am hoping to lose about 27 pounds with this challenge. That will put me at the weight I was when I had my son 3 years ago! I am a stay-at-home mom for the most part, I work part-time every other weekend 3rd shift in the ER. I love being at home with my son and I love going to work so I feel I have the best of both worlds!

For my diet and exercise: I have a treadmill at home that I am planning to walk 60min. atleast 5 times a week, and I also have a few different home workout videos. My diet is currently calories counting with an emphasis on trying to stay low-medium carb count.

LETS DO THIS THING!! GO RED TEAM!

Good Morning!

I know we don't have a weighin as this is the first Monday of the challenge, but I always weigh on Monday, so I went ahead and checked my weight. I've already lost 1.2lbs since I posted my starting weight!

Good morning everyone. Everyone excited to get started? so far today I have ate 1 cup Mutligrain Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk and a large cup of coffee with a little skim milk and I did add some flavored creamer but I don't do that often. For exercise I will be heading out to the base and doing 3 miles at the track. Not sure what is on task for the rest of the day.

Hi all y'all.
I'm new the the BL challenges, but I needed a little extra motivation and my BFF is sooo not providing. Seriously though, I am trying to loose a major amount of weight, while living in a hotel and through necessity (both lack of money and lack of decent cooking space and implements) living off the "free" meals provided by said hotel. They are not the greatest, but they usually include a salad, which has become the center of my dietary regime since I move in there. With luck this week or next we will get the certificate of occupancy on the new house and I can get my kitchen stuff out of storage and begin to enjoy my beautiful new kitchen. (Have I told you about my new gas stove, with the high and low output burners?) Sorry I lost my train of thought.
Anyway, I am taking advantage of the gym at the hotel and it is pretty solely responsible for the 9 pound weight loss I had in December. I hope with the addition of home cooking to the party, I can continue that success and maybe even improve on it. I have committed to packing lunches for both myself and my SigO when we move in. For Christmas I got a bento box, and I am unduly excited about it. As is evidenced by the fact that I offered to pack lunches for SigO as well. I do not do the domastic thing....
Good luck to everyone on their goals. Let's some blue behind.
