Happy belated birthday Charlie!! I hope you had a great time!!

I was feeling so down yesterday, but I am better today. I did so badly with food, but I am going to the gym this afternoon. One bad day is not going to derail me. I have to run, laundry day!

Hi everyone,
I'm 22 years old with 2 boys and a husband of almost 8 yrs. I weighed 135 when we met. i gained 40 pounds that stuck with my first one plus and extra 15 in between the boys so that put at 190 then i got preganant and weighed 217 after my second boy. Breast feeding plus walking knocked me down to 192. But you cant breast feed for ever. I went back to work and didnt have time to walk so ive gained 18 pounds since sept.
I'm 208 so I have 09 pounds to loose to hit 199. but i want to do it before may 1st so im going to make my goal for april 13th thats 09 pounds in 2weeks.

Welcome Yalondah!

You'll find great support here! Lots of encouragement and a place to scream if you need to!

9lbs in 2 weeks might be an unreachable goal, do you think you should make it at least 3. Yes you will have the first weeks spurt but you need to take it slowly, the slower you lose the less likely you are to put it back on again hon. After all, you say you want to lose the 9lbs by May 1st...you got plenty of time! We all lose an average of 0.5-1.5lbs a week. Ok, we're not in our first weeks, some of the girls have lost huge amounts of weight already.

What is your eating plan going to be? Any particular plan?

and I gotta ask this...please don't be offended...you got married at 14?

Sarah

Crapola!!!
I worte a brilliant post about Life the Universe and Everything and lost it.

My main focus since Christmas has been to get my home, business and inmmune system in order. The weight has been on the back burner. All is well.

MAJOR purging in this house. It stays tidier when there isn't any crap for them to leave laying around!! LOL!!!!!!
Most of the toys and treasures have been tossed. Much has been recycled.

We are getting rodents for Easter. A guinea pig for DD and a gerbil for DS. I would much rather have pets than junk!!!

Love you Gals!!!!

Hmmm...rodents...sounds lovely when you put it thay way
I'm starting a major purge too, but it's hard with an almost 3 month old and an almost 3 year old to take care of. I find having a house full of stuff makes my mind full. A cluttered house leads to a cluttered mind.
have a great day all!!

Dewcan~ AND a cluttered body. At least that is my theory. My kids are 5&7. They have refused to part with anything since they were your kids ages. I Got tough and out dozens of bags and boxes of stuff went. It is a relief.

Good morning all! Doing well here. Eating has been good and DH and I worked out for 1.5hrs yesterday. I am aiming to get to the gym again this afternoon.

Holly~great job decluttering!! I go through our stuff and get rid of it, then MIL give us her stuff. Right now I have three bags and some boxes in my garage that she gave us. most of it is stuff we don't need, so we are either going to bring it to goodwill, or ebay it.

Have a great day!!!

Good morning,
I hate when I miss a day being here! I look forward to all the posts and encourgment they give me.

Holly and Others that are discussing having things nice and tidy around them. I'm one who does much better at my weight loss plan when I'm dealing with clutter. When I get off track and I take a look around I'll see things pile up. So for me, if things pile up so do the pounds. I don't have kids but a hubby who is a pack rat. I've given him one area that he can squirl things away in and I insist that he go through it once a month or I will.

Debbie: I can see the new job is keeping you busy but you are being true to yourself. Big hugs to you! I know you can stay on plan. Get here as often as you can. We miss you when you aren't here!

DewCan: Memorial Day in the US is May 29th. For me that is the official start of summer. I'm glad you are in with me on losing a pound a week. What day do you weigh-in? Mine is on Thursday's at TOPS.

Ok..got to get busy at work ladies. See you tomorrow.

Susie, I can do Thursdays too. It'll be easier that way. We have Victoria day which is a week before your Memorial Day. This year it's my sons b-day that day. Baby is sleeping in my arms

Hello everyone. I'm doing okay. I don't know what my problem is, but I've been sorta pigging out each night. Well, not pigging, but the problem is, DH has been home every night this week - he has this week off - whereas before, he was working so late every night that dinner is on our own. So I'd be eating really healthy foods just for me. But now that he's around, I'm wanting to eat more "bad" things with him. That's got to stop!

I slept in today so I'm going to the gym in the evening again. Tonite will be nice because my college basketball team made it into the Sweet Sixteen!!! Go BU!!!! Anyway, they were to total underdog, and I'm going to the gym to watch the game and have a nice long, leisurely workout. So I'm not going to focus necessarily on a 50 minutes of fast workout, but maybe I can get an hour and a half in on the elliptical, going at a slower pace. I'll see. But even though I've been eating poorly, I've still been getting good workouts in, so I hope my burning of calories is helping.

I've got some posts to catch up on!!!

Charlie:
I hope you had a great birthday! And boy, I didn't know Long Islands have so many points! I don't know what's in them, but I bet I couldn't get through a half of one of those things without conking out!

Diana:
A 3 month old! I can hardly handle my cats

Susie:
I agree with you. My DH and I aren't the neatest, but at least things can LOOK organized and the rug vacuumed and dishes done...then I feel better about myself and I stay OP. When the dishes are stacked, I don't want to cook and then we eat out...but if I keep the kitchen tidy and stocked with good foods, it's so much easier.

Jasonslea:
WELCOME!!! And thanks for that drink list. I don't drink often, but occasionally if I go out with a girlfriend or something, it would be handy to know what to order.

Ellen, Sarah:
I hope that you are having a GREAT day.

Holly:
I'm dying to get to Ontario. One of my favorite singer/songwriters lives in Toronto and she doesn't travel this way very often! She's performing a house concert on April 1st in Barrie - a 13 hour drive for me!Yipes!

Yalondah:
Welcome!!! Good luck with your goal. It is quite a bit to lose in 2 weeks - many people do lose some initial water weight pretty quickly, so who knows. I have been losing 1.5-2lbs per week so far.

Talk to you all later!

good morning ladies!!!! I love Long Island Iced tea too, so I thought I would look it up for you.

1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola®

Mix together over ice and garnish with lemon

I have a hard time getting through two of these, So charlie if you can get through 3 or 4 of them then you are more of a woman than I am.

Doing well here, just waiting for the weekend. DH and I are taking the kiddies swimming this afternoon after we work out. I can't wait, they had a blast last week. Well, have to run and get some housework done.
