I'm thinking I might start doing Weight Watchers.. sorta. I'm really not willing to pay to go to meetings, I think it runs about $45/mo. I found my points range online and I've got a point slider from when I did WW a few years ago. Like anything else, when you stick to it, it really works. We'll see how it goes Anyone else tried WW? The WW boards here seem to run pretty strong!

Eevey- So sorry to hear about your break-up. You sound like you're staying on track though. Keep your head up hon!

Eevey...hey, i left the quote below before (i think its on pg 19 or 20 of the thread) anywho, here it is again its called the master cleanser...So sorry about the breakup...that really sucks...hope you are feeling better!!
"it's also called "the lemonaid diet" and it's strickly a liquid fast (hence, the reason so many people are so skeptical), but for me its a great jump start. here are some links:
http://healthandlight.com/TheMasterCleanse.pdf
http://yestheyrefake.net/lemonade_di...se_journal.htm"

courtnie-thanks for the advise on fitday! im excited to use it.

aimee-i went on it for 3 days this time. i lost 8 lbs (and since gained it all back!!). the salt water can be very gross...ill spare you the details. but i didnt use it this time around. it can make going to the bathroom very painful. i was o.k. with just doing the smooth move tea at night before bed.

For everything else, i think i screwed up my whole cleanse. i went camping this weekend, and because the lemonaid has to stay refrigerated, i went off the cleanse. so i ate pretty badly (think normal camp food). i just got back and weighed myself and i gained all the weight back. i'm not going to be too hard on myself, just because i know the cleanse isnt for weight loss. so im just gonna start fresh tomorrow and start using the fitday. im gonna be a bit stressed this week though, i have the GRE test on friday to get into grad school. i'm also waiting to hear back from this job that i went on an interview for last week...i really want it!...so wish me luck!

Eevey- Sorry to hear about your break up. I am glad you are doing ok with it Keep up the good work.

Jen- Good luck with the WW. I used it to lose my first 20 years ago.

Angeleyes-good luck on your gre.

Ladies I managed to get by with not cheating this weekend. My boyfriend's friend made me some rosemary chicken and brocolli when she realized I was low carbing it. I am hoping to see some major loss from my 155 weigh in last week. Hopefully I'll slide riht down into the 140's with eevey.

I come before you ladies speaking only with honesty... tonight I got on my scale and I'm now up to 253. Yes, that's right, 15lbs gained in 15 days. I swear on my pointy toe shoe collection that I'm not eating poorly enough to gain THAT much; I'm even exercising a little! I saw my trainer on Friday and he's mystified. He suggested I go to the doctor.
I'm pretty much freaking out here. I've never seen numbers this high on my scale, ever! But my body isn't growing! Yikes!

Courtnie- holla my way if you want some good WW links btw, when I'm feeling down, your little doggy totally makes me smile

Angeleyes- Good luck on the GRE and the job!

Nikki- That's awesome that you're staying on track. Even better that your friends are willing to help. I was always amazed at how willing people are to accommodate those of us watching out weight; it just takes us the guts to let them know.

Jen -Hang in there. Have you been drinking water? With the heat and all I find I can gain a bit if I don't drink my water. Also remember muscle weighs more then fat. I agree with your trainer though get checked by a doctor. If it is your TOM maybe that could be it? We will be here to support you and help you figure this one out.

hey girls, thanks for the encouragement! Hopefully all goes well!

Jen-i agree with nikki...but if you think you are doing everything right...definately check it out with a dr.! your trainer is also a professional so its good to take his advice. you never know, it could be your thyroid or something like that. just keep doing everything you know you should be doing, hopefully something will shed some light on it soon!

so, for me, i got a Fitness magazine (which i love to read and keep up on, but never seem to put into practice..lol) and it an article on major weight loss and maintaining it. i pretty much knew most of it, but i didnt know the whole weight loss equation to find out how many calories my body needs in order to meet my goal weight. so i figured it and it said i need approx. 1700 cals. to me, that seems like alot. and if im eating healthier, i'm not sure if i will be able to get all of those cals in. anyways, my question is, how crucial is it to eat all those cals.? what if i eat less? if anyone knows, i would really appreciate the advice.
anywho, thats the plan, as well as a few other tips that were given. but for now im gonna try to keep implementing one healthy lifestyle change at a time.
im also gonna stay off the scales for the time being. i may just start watching the inches or sizes instead of keeping track of the weight. we'll see though. like i said...one at a time, so it will stick.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL, HEALTHY DAY!!

Angeleyes- Sometimes we need to eat more to lose. I know it sounds crazy but when I eat only 900 -1200 calories several days in a row I stall. Now I dont count calories as I do atkins, but, I know there is something to what you read.

angeleyes - 3 days is still pretty impressive - your body must feel better!! I bet some of that will still come off - there has to be some water weight in there. I think 1600-1700 sounds like a good start, you never really know whats going to work without experimenting a little. I found 1800 calories really worked for me, but I had to keep the fat content below 30%. don't forget 5 servings of veggies! I am a sucker for some veggies, hehee..

Nikki - I'm so glad that all went well with your dinner out - there is nothing more stressful than trying to stay on plan and go out at the same time. You don't want to offend someone, but you also can't give up on what you are doing because its important. Look forward to hearing about your weigh in.

Jen - I've done 15 pounds in 15 days, only because is was such a drastic change from what I was used to. If you think something is wrong, definitely see a doctor - I went to the doctors when I wasn't losing any weight from exercising and eating low calories. My doctor was completely unhelpful - told me I needed to watch little things like the almond butter I having 1 tablespoon a day of. I am just babbling, but I would say give it a week and see how things settle. I am going to start WW with Courtnie tomorrow, you should definitely join us The more the merrier, plus it helps to have buddies along the way.

Well ladies since Spring is officially over I am going to start us a new Thread.. "Summer Lovin' " A little cheesy yes, but I didn't have any other ideas.. hehe.

Thanks everyone for all the support! I'm just going to keep chugging along and see what happens.

Aimee- I would love to start with you ladies! we have a WW @ work meeting that is open to whomever wants to come. That will help. I'm going to start marking everything in my fridge with point values!
