I've jhust found my glasses haven't seen them since moving here... that was last Aug...found them in my big black bag I use to travel...amazing how much easier they make things to read once plonked on the end of ones snout

Bloody wind again... outside, not from my bottom...cold... I thought I had frost bite on my lugs earlier walking Pen and Lew...hat scarf and gloves, the wind still whips into the lughole area...

Helen, hope your legs feel better...glad you had a nice weekend away and were so prepared on your return, you are a star.

Sarah, the recipe did sound a bit dfferent having a banana in it...shame it wasn't to your tastes... like CG said.. or Britney as we should now call her, did you have F&C?

I'm making a new recipe tonight that was sent on an e-mail recipe exchange, kalbasai, chopped up in the crock pot with honey and BBQ sauce...cook for a few hours and we'll see if we like it... don't know what I'm going to serve with it though... will think about that later...ok, must dash, have an appt.

I'm really flagging now. I've just posted the full version of my weekend on my blog and made a gorgeous (but not exactly diet friendly) risotto so I think it's time to disappear to bed with the remote control.

Chris - whats kalbasi? Sounds like an Egyptian port!

CG - No, we didn't have f&c - did think about it but realised that its Monday and chippies in this area are shut on Mondays. We ate half then I made some omlettes which went okay with the veg I'd cooked to go with the potato cake thingies Even though we've eaten the omlettes and I've brushed my teeth I can STILL taste them

Enjoy your kip Helen. I'm a bit knackered myself and am already dreading work tomorrow so might go to bed too - sans risotto, more's the pity!

Yeah it's amazing what you can see when you wear your specs. You didn't loose them just mislaid them.
Although that would have been a good place to look when you realised they were gone

Nearly packed.... couldn't find the big suitcase... looked in every closet bar mine... Dave told me it was in mine...now he thinks he has one over me as he is always looking for stuff right under his nose and I couldn't see a big suitcase...

I'm taking the laptop so will drop in and keep up.. prob won't follow a plan as such this next week, but will always be aware of what is being shoved in gob.

Dinner was :drrol: very scrummy... I'll post the recipe in the recipe thread... don't know anything about cals though, but it was very tasty.

Hello all!

Man class was MENTAL last night - 3 newbies, all about 5 years old! And last week's newbie too. They were all running around excited like mad things, but they did well. I have one autistic boy and there's a girl who's been here a couple of months who has ADHD. Come to Jen's Special Needs Kickboxing, it's great!

Then I got home and plonked in the bath with the phone and a choc-ice and rang my Mummy!

Pancakes today Not sure what I'm having on mine yet, but I'm sending DH to buy milk, eggs and cottage cheese I've bought him beer, so I guess he'll be happy!

That's better. My leg's still feeling a bit funny, but I ran for 40 minutes on the treadmill this morning without making it worse. It just feels a bit tight, but hopefully it will recover before my half at the weekend.

I'm back, from eating, drinking and shopping in Maine, it was a quick trip so not too much damage done, but I wasn't angelic either.

Oh well it's school vacation week, lots of time for exercise, problem is lots of time for grazing, hopefully I'll find a happy medium. Going for a long run today since it's FINALLY warming up!!!!!

Chris have a great trip.

Morning! (Its quiet in here!!!)

to everyone with dodgy legs and I hope you all get better soon.

My Rose Elliot low GI vegetarian recipe book arrived yesterday from Amazon - I can thoroughly recommend it. I got the postman to deliver it to me at work so DH wouldn't notice that I've been buying recipe books again... So I smuggled it home, stuck it in the middle of the recipe book shelves (which pretty much covers the whole of the alcove wall in the kitchen) and, would you believe it, the next time he walked in the kitchen he said 'Not ANOTHER recipe book'. Now.... there's got to be a couple of hundred or or more recipe books there.... how on EARTH could he have spotted it????? Anyway - there's some very nice recipes in it.

Nice surprise.... Ann, my boss, has told me she's paying me for my holiday which we'd originally agreed I wouldn't be paid for because its so close to starting there.

Only three more sleeps until my holiday.

I like the look of that book, I might have to put an amazon order in shortly. Not that I need any more cook books, but I'm sure just one more wouldn't hurt...

I might buy a new watch at lunchtime, very exciting. I haven't had a nice work watch since christmas, I've just been wearing my running watch, but I think I've finally decided what I'm going to do about repairing the old one/buying a new one.
