Welcome Back Chris.

Lou congrats on the new house, I'm thinking about putting mine on the market next spring and moving to a different part of the city, it's a daunting task.

Day 2 on the couch, still not feeling well and I always go back to the gym too soon. My students were calling me snotty nose today. Hopefully I'll get rid of this some time this week.

Scales have been great this week, I get so disciplined when I'm sick to make up for the lack of exercise.

Oh well off to drink my crystal lite and watch more tv...have a great night all.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the dress feedback- I think it's gorgeous, but don't want to look too muttony.... My bridesmaids are wearing dark grey silk chiffon fenn wright manson silk dresses (which were a bargain at £40 down from £160)They are all stunning though.. even my close friend who is due to have her first child in October (4 weeks before the wedding) has asked me to order a 14 for her. We were joking that if I'd dieted myself stupid and she was overdue I might be able to squeeze into the dress myself!! Just writing that has made me feel more motivated!!

Frus- your little one's class seems like fun! I could do with something like that myself.

The new flat sounds very exciting Lou, and hello Chris and Redsox.

Claire- I'm new to the forum too (this year anyway) but I find that even typing an entry makes me focus and reflect..and try not to eat in the evening!)

1200 cals today for me but no exercise as I have spent a lot of time on the M6. Need to focus tomorrow though and get some running in as well as my Body Balance class.

Have a lovely evening everyone.

Hello everyone

Welcome back Chris.

Red hope you feel better soon.

Welcome Claire.

Other Clare my sodding pc wouldn't let me look at the dress but will have another try.

My Conor telephoned from Spain this evening. He is having a great time
and has tried pasta he is the fussiest eater in the world. My little fella is lost without him no one to fight with!!!

I got myself to the gym this evening and worked a bit harder. I can feel my extra pounds when I run though its gross. Hopefully I can shift a couple by the weekend.

Went to the my parents as well this evening. My father was lying on the sofa with his other great love besides my mother Kitty the much loved and petted cat in the world. My father thinks Kitty is worn out from all the male attention she gets every evening!!! My mother adores Kitty too in fact she won't sleep properly until she knows Kitty is in. Anyway I did some ironing then my hubby picked me up and home I went.

Nice to see you again Lou by the way hope work is ok.

Goodnight everyone godbless

Michele

Hi CG.. Yes, P&L were happy puppies to see me...haven't left my side all day. Boys seemed happy too Although they're both slobs and I've told them so.

RSG, hope you feel better soon, have you tried Zicam? My hubs has used it twice now for colds and it really has cut them in half...and we all know how men are with colds....

Lou, good luck with the move...and glad to hear you're liking the new job.

Michelle, nice that your boy is having a great time and trying new foods...my two were picky eaters until they both passed 10 years of age, and they still have their moments...can't put peas on one plate or I get moaned at, had to do if you do a mixed veg... Glad your Mum and Dad are well... and you're a luvey doing ironing too... I hate that job...in fact, don't think I've ironed since a wedding last June!

@ Claire and Clare....hellooooooooooo.

Ok, must go check the washing and load the dishwasher.....see you all tomorrow...might have caught up with all the threads by then

Chris - I hate peas too! Your boys have taste!

Hello Lou! Long time no see! Glad the job's going ok!

Clareh your bridesmaids dresses sound lovely too!

Well I did the most fantastical leg-workout yesterday! I could barely step out of the shower this morning! We went to see David Strassman last night - he's a very funny ventriloquist. It was amazing! Then DH and I had to run for 2 buses - which didn't help my tired legs any! At least I could run, and my knee is holding stable!

NOt sure why people hate peas so much and for some people it is the only one they hate! ??? It is not as though we are talking about the cannonball peas of yore. My mum used to have to hide them in a hanky and put in the pocket of her knickers (yes they had pockets then apparently) and then bury them in the school field along with all the other kids. Must be full of peas bushes now.......

However, talk about root veg - turnip, swede, parsnips oh and kohlrabi oh and jerusalem artichoke - yeuch!

Hello you! I'm thinking marathonning might be a good idea... I've found an Ultra-Fit training plan that looks interesting and not too hard.

Oh and I will e-mail you with a little apartment thingy I found in Amsterdam too!

Yay for marathonning!

I was very proud of myself last night. I took a slice of the frozen cake out of the freezer - then put it back again because I decided I didn't really want it once I realised I couldn't have instant gratification. I like freezing cake

(I do have a slice with me to eat before running club, but as cake is pre-planned running fuel and got me a PB on Sunday that's OK )

It's the cake that did it!!!

I'm drinking a horrific concoction of L-Glutamine, protein powder and soy milk. Since when were smoothies crunchy? If it helps my screaming thighs then it can only be a good thing!

Hi ladies- posting and running tonight (not literally)

Have had a manic few days at work so have lost sight of exercising a bit. Body Step tomorrow after work (Yay, back in the 1980s!! But still fun, and you never forget how to grapevine)

I was hungry til I read frus post above and now feel slightly strange! How can a smoothie be crunchy?? Especially when made with powder and milk.... actually, don't tell me!

I don't eat peas either (at the age of 33) although my diet consists of mainly vegetables (who am I kidding, actually it's mainly ryvita at the moment) although soy beans are strangely nice (although we have to have the conversation everytime- "How can you like them, but not peas? They are green and small and nearly round?? The answer is that soy beans don't pop!)

Anyway, after that stream of consciousness rambling (obviously due to lack of carbs), have a fab evening! I'm off to get salad.

ooooowwww, my stomach hurts. I've been feeling bloated for a couple of days (maybe TOM is due?), and during my run it just felt like it was squelching around, until it turned into more of a runners trots issue in the last mile, although I got back to the leisure centre before it got too bad. It still doesn't feel right though.

Despite that I managed 7.4 miles at 9 minute mile pace. I seem to be consolidating my place at the front of the middle group most of the time

I really don't want to think about crunchy smoothies, that's just wrong!

Am I really the only person who likes peas round here? I used to always have peas and sweetcorn with everything because they were the only veg I liked.

I like peas Helen.

Well I went to the gym again this evening even though my friend didn't come. Aren't I the best girl. Had a bit of a run but my bottoms are too loose and felt as if they were falling down. I wasn't sure if it were them or my knickers really so I was a bit of a stopper and starter.

There won't be any loss for me to report on the Easter chicks challenge but I hope to have a loss by Saturday.

One of my friends moved to Brighton last year so my friends and I have just arranged to go and see her on the 24th March we go first thing that Saturday morning and come back Sunday night. I almost want to pack my bag now I am so excited. How sad am I.

No work now until Monday. I shall get up and have one of my now almost legendary fried egg sarnies maybe do a bit of housework.

My son comes back on Friday so we will go to Stansted and get him.

I am a tired thing.

Take care everyone

Michele
