Flippin 'eck lass! Shootings and missing women!

We went to Edale to hike the Pennine way on Saturday morning and it wasn't too tiring. Thank goodness! In fact I was bounding around over rocks and running along little trails. We saw 4 trail-runners out there and it made me want to run so much! So I did a little bit and ran DOWNHILL and of course the knee started playing up again So it has been iced and rested and it's not too bad really, I am going to try and do a whole mile on the treadmill in New Running Shoes I have my race for life a week on Wednesday so I'd better be ok for then!

We went to Sheffield for tea on Saturday and went to Bar Ha Ha since we had some Tesco vouchers for it. I got some lovely Salmon thingy and DH ordered a veggie burger with a fried egg on top. Needless to say the egg didn't materialise and the chips were horrid and cold So he sent it back and when he got his next burger it was real BEEF! He wasn't particularly impressed so we called the manager and DH said that he didn't want another burger since I'd already finished and we'd just like to leave, so we got my meal free! YeHAY! Poor Mr Frus! So he got the cheapest reduced-price wrap from Somerfield He is SO cheap sometimes!

Yesterday we went to Primark to return some stuff. I queued for half an hour!!! And I was there before the tills opened and I was no-where NEAR the end of the queue! It was HEAVING in there! But fortunatley I got my £23 back ok and it was all good. Then we went to see the new transport museum shop and watched a little bit of the FLM. I was tearing up before we even got close to the runners! It's such a cool thing to do! I can't wait!

We dossed around in the afternoon and I made apple crumble We were going to plant our seeds but I couldn't be bothered. I am thinking about knocking some boxes up to put our grow-bags in so that they don't get muck all over the balcony. The strawberry plants are looking healthy. I am going to have to get some netting to cover the balcony in so the birds don't steal my stash

Well done Peacock That's seven pounds down in less than a month... you're doing brill.

Well I'm about to get ready for work, it's another lovely warmish sunny day, however, we've got a blustery breeze going which made it very difficult to hang my sheets out on the line earlier, one got away from me and ended up in the nasty twiggy area at the end of the garden..didn't help I was talking on the phone at the same time so my friend in England was in hysterics at my attempts to retrieve it!

I've been for a nice walk with Pen and Lew, Lew's feeling a tad warm though and can't seem to settle... we need to get another pool for him to have his daily dip in after his walk...he's missing the one in AZ...

Have a good Monday everyone.

I went back to the garden centre today So I planted some corn and a pumpkin. If I can't grow corn here there's something wrong as everywhere you look are corn fields. The pumpkin is for halloween. Fingers crossed.

Poor Lew get him one of those plastic ones. for Lewie.

Frus, your weekend sounds fun. I'll be hitting the Pennine Way myself this weekend I think for this charity walk I'm doing.

I spoke to the job people and I now have a formal interview on thursday with someone higher up. I just wish I'd written down what time it was, I can't remember whether we said 12.30 or 1.30... We're having to go to a local hotel because I can't go to the offices in case my boss's husband sees me!

10.1 miles tonight, just over 3 up to running club and then 7 with them. The girls who did London did pretty well, I'm hoping I can do as well in Edinburgh - less than 5 weeks

I'm watching that Superskinny Me thing at the moment. I just couldn't do that sort of regime, I want to be healthy more than I want to be tiny (although someone at running club today said I had skinny thighs, which was quite nice. We were having a conversation about thigh chafing, as you do...)

OMG one of my best friends from uni is pregnant. And the other one (there were three of us who hung around together) is getting married. I'm getting old (and I'm going to have to come up with some news to top those two!)

BritnJ - thanks for the encouragement - I have a feeling it is somethign to do with being skint though! I have now been paid and that is a snagerous time - however with this good weather I have been hankering after fresh fruit and salad so maybe this time I can keep the weight coming off (says she eating a 'dipped' flake.....).

Can you not spray Lew with water - from a hose or get a cheapie water gun???

Peacock, I love the new word 'snagerous'....and I love dipped flakes as well....we can all have a treat now and then, so praise yourself for those seven pounds gone

Can't spray Lew witht he hose, he doesn't like it... he just likes to lay down in a pool of water and drink and cool off....we'll get him a new pool this weekend.. and then it'll piddle down or something and he won't need it

CG...pumpkins hey? Where are you planting those? They grow quite big

Helen, you def beat out the wedding and baby luvey... all that weight loss and running here, there and everywhere... good luck with the secret meeting for the interview tomorrow

Well I'm off over to my friends this morning, so I'd better get sorted and do a few bits and bobs before I leave... see you all later

OMG! I just got stuck under a barbell and some man came and rescued me....

How embarrassing! Fortunately it was the last rep on the last set so I didn't have to do any more.

Hello everyone

I am very tired today. Work has been very busy. I should gym this evening but but I feel incredibly lazy and I've chomped at work. When I read about Helen and Redsox going running I think thats what I am going to do but I never do. Glad your back safely Redsox by the way. My father is great and has been out on his little mobility scooter.

Conor is really moaning in the background so I will have to end here.

Helen you are a child compared to me.

Right I must get going

I shall post tomorrow

Michele
