Hi eeryone! i am starting today and I am so glad to find some support. I tried this plan without the book and was eating too much junk-chips/cheetos etc. I know you can have them as treats but I was eating them and sf cookies everyday. I have about 20 lbs. I would like to lose and I also exercise 3-4 times a week. I will be 45 and the last year has really been hard to lose the weight. I copied the tracker from the book and stapled them together to track easily. Well good luck everyone-maybe we can post some of our favvorite meals or finds!

See the thing I think is going to slow me down is the fact that I am a very picky eater. I don't each very much of anything so when I do find a food that is "free" according to this diet I kinda stick with it. I have been taking Metamucil to help get the same reaction that Jorge is wanting everyone to get by upping their fiber intake.

In his book he suggests his Belly Fat Cure Drink for adding an instant 10 grams of fiber at one time to help boost the flushing of body fat from your body.

Here is the recipe:

1 20-oz bottle of pureVia-sweetened Sobe Lifewater - OR Regular Water
2 1/2 T of psylllium husks
3 probiatic capsules

Mix the psyllium husks with the water. Take the probiotics with the shake and drink the remainer immediately

I started this on Monday and feel a lot more energy. I used to be a sprite fanatic and completely cut that out and am now only drinking water, anywhere between 5-7 bottles of 16.9oz bottles of water a day, that is a major accomplishment for me lol. I have been logging everything that I eat unless it is a free food then I don't log that I keep a side note of that. At my doctors office I weighed in at 168lbs and I just got on the scale this morning and it says 157 but I don't know how much of that is actual weight loss since when I got weighed at the doctors office I had my shoes and coat still on. I will remove those next time I get weighed so I can get an accurate weight this time. I hope I lost a little bit so that it keeps giving me motivation. I really need to get this weight off, I need to have a lumbar fusion and am too scared to go under the knife with extra fat packed on so ideally I would like to be 125lbs before I will schedule the surgery.

I just discovered this diet, also in my FIRST magazine -which I love love love by the way. I'm absolutely going to start...today. I don't think I'm going to buy the book though. I'm excited, I think this is one that I can actually follow!

You can get psyllium husks in most drug stores these days; mine has them in the same place you can get Metamucil and other fiber products.

BTW, I found Jorge's The 3-hour Diet is quiet simple to follow; and my plan follows a similar pattern but at my own timing as I don't eat BF until 9 am. It has the same basics principles of eating but is just more organized (but I haven't read the new book yet). I like the visionary aspects of the food on the plate too; very helpful.

I think you could benefit from reading about both plans; I found my info right on the net too ...

There were two thread going on this and I don't know how they got combined but I am very glad they did. Looks like the whole thread to me.

swansonvitamins.com has psylllium husks. They have great prices. It comes capsules, powder, and whole. I ordered the whole ones, haven't got them yet.

cl726or, congrats on getting all the water down! I am still working on that. Sorry you have to go through surgery on your spine. Looks like that got you motivated to lose which is such a good thing.

Smile Belly fat cure

I am currently trying the belly fat cure. I tried the 3 hr. diet before and lost weight initially, but plateaued quickly because my portions size began to increase. This new diet is so much easier to do. The weight is coming off again and I don't feel hungry. I was supprised to find out how much sugar I was eating every day. One yogurt was over 30 grams of sugar. I was a little confused with his menus. There are 4 servings but is the sugar/carb amount for each serving or the whole meal. thanks

I am not doing this diet but I have to say I liked what he said in the informercial and it seemed to make sense in my own experiences.

I'd love to join this thread. I did BFC for three days early last month and lost 3 pounds during that time. I've been waiting to get my finances together enough to really get most of the food I needed to begin again. Monday, I will start with my 8 year old son. He has about 45 pounds to lose. I have 100+.

Has anyone been able to find Zevia sodas at a really good price?

I started last week. lost 3lbs. Never hungry. Just really need to be careful about sugar intake and remember to actually eat; 3 meals, 2 snacks. I find that an app on my IPhone called Lose It! helps to keep track the the carb and sugar grams. Also, alot of the speciality foods are available or easily substituted.

Hi Everyone, I started this on Thursday and the sugar thing hasn't been that bad for me. I just miss my cocktails but found that Belvedere Vodka is sugar free so that helps when we went out this weekend.

Also I love that it's so simple. I've got the carb servings memorized already and can't wait to weigh in on Thursday to see the results. I'll be happier with inches lost than weight at this point. I just want to have a waist again
