AWESOME JOB!!! I knew you could do it! You are so close - don't forget your goal .. !!!

I know they say you will quit losing around day 7 - 10, due to water replacing the fat to hold the cell shape, but it just seems weird to me that the day I switch menus and add more supplements, I just stop dead in the water! I am totally confused and discouraged. Is it the menu swap, the added supplements, the 7-10 day water weight gain??? Do I continue as I am and pray that I will lose the minimum 2 lbs this week as promised or do I try to change something now?? I am almost in tears! I did call MRC and talked to a lady, but quite frankly, I don't think she had much of a clue. Her "advise" was to eat only raw veggies for lunch and dinner tonight. (with the protein and such) How does that help?? She couldn't seem to explain it.

Please help me before I screw this up any worse!!
Goalbound,

please do not be discouraged... i did not loose anything for a whole week and half and today when i weighed in i lost 2lbs. atlast!! i guess i will take 2lbs over 0lbs any day hands down....so hang in there.

Craving potato chips!
I've really been trying to follow all the preconditioning foods. But today, I was really craving potato chips.. just wanted a bag of lays or ruffles. Instead of giving in, I had some Melba toast. This is the first time I had even tried it and it seemed to handle my craving! Just wanted something crunchy and salty. Melba toast wasn't really salty but it worked. And I ate it with some left over rump roast and green beans. So still stayed on the plan! Is there anything to help with ice cream cravings?

Way to go! Ice cream craving--the meal replacement shakes work great in a home ice cream maker. I eat those all summer. It makes a HUGE bowl.

You can also put it in a blender and make a smoothie. If you don't want to use the meal replacements, you can use any of the smoothie/puddings--add frozen fruit and cottage cheese and ice and that will make a great smoothie.

This sounds so yummy! I think I'll have to try the choclate pudding with frozen raspberries and might even try freezing it like you would a popcycle. . . Thanks for sharing.

Wi today (mid week) and I actually lost a pound! WooHoo!!!! I was so sure that it would be zero or even a gain, but I actually lost!! Then to help me further, they measured me, (even though it wasn't time) and in one and a half weeks (PC & 1/2 week on MB) I have lost 8 total inches!!!!!

Think I may throw my scale away! lol

I think we often give the scale too much power. Good job on the weight and inches lost!

Thanks for the ideas. I go in tomorrow for my meal class so I guess that's when I will be introduced to the meal replacement shakes and other good things. I'm going in for a WI today.. I don't own a scale at home and probably won't go out and get one because then I would want to get on it everyday and if I didn't lose anything, I would get really frustrated.

The "scale" ruined an entire day for me! I can't bring myself to throw it out, but I wish I didn't have it, because I do get on it everyday and that is actually a big no-no. No matter what kind of diet you are on, I have always been told not to weigh daily, only weekly, but when it is sitting right there by the toilet, it is hard to resist. So IMHO, I wouldn't buy one.

My scale said no loss, but MRC said 1 pound lost and I imagine a $2000 scale is much more accurate than a $40 Walmart one. LOL The inches lost actually mean more to me than the weight.

GoalBound, when do you weigh at home and when do you weigh at the center?

My weight at home is usually a pound off of the weight at the center. I weigh in the morning before breakfast and with no clothes. I weigh at the center in mid-morning fully clothed! LOL

I'm the same way! Out of the shower & unclothed is the best! LOL. If I could have submitted that weight, I would have my 20lb stone today... but alas .. I didn't .. I lost 1lb bringing me to 18.5 lbs.

We had a little chant this morning about clothes sucking .. so if its nice weather wear light things .. if its cold out still in your area - dress in layers so you can take off as much as possible when you get to the center!

When I first started I actually weighed myself in different outfits to see which clothes weighed the least (I can't believe I am admitting this).

Now I do weigh myself in the morning when I get up and it has helped me because I often have to weigh in at different times at the center (some mornings, some evenings) as well as I eat before I go and often have 40 oz of water in me by then so the weight at the Center and all of these things effect my weigh in. However, my morning weight is much more consistent and I can see small losses or gains and then reasses how I did the day before (food, water, exercise, sleep, stress, time of month, etc.) to start looking for patterns. If you obcess over slight increases then I would stay off the scale as much as is possible.
