Yay congrats on starting this journey! Yeah, if I make several veggies, I count 4 oz. cooked...or on a big salad...8 ounces raw. Same if mixed...like I have a big 8 ounce salad for lunch of spinach, tomato, cucumber and green onion.
I hardly ever use all my olive oil. I use cooking spray to cook my meats and veggies. I only use olive oil in a salad dressing. Fats are full of calories, so I would be careful using more than allowed....as it will give you many extra calories. I think one tablespoon of the olive oil I have at home is 120 calories...
Thanks so much, I have never used my Pam to cook anything other than eggs. I'll try to use it on my meats & veggies. Thanks for the tips!
I've been on the MRC plan since Dec. 28th and haven't had too many problems resisting temptation. But, Friday night, my mind and body were in total rebellion mode! I haven't craved chocolate that bad this entire time! I mean, it took every ounce of willpower I had to not eat any. My husband and I were out with friends and I told them all that I needed to take a short break, run home, and eat some chocolate pudding HNS. So proud to say that I resisted all off-plan temptation and was able to more-or-less curb the desire for chocolate with the pudding. Whew! Close call!

AWESOME JOB!! That is exactly what is going to get you to goal! I love that you didn't just give in this time or even just take a little nibble. You solved the problem and stayed 100% on plan. Hope you are proud of yourself too!
I just experienced that today at weigh in. I was up 0.5 lbs from my last weigh in putting me back at 270. She immediately noticed my disappointment and told me that if this is the "pattern" that my body needs to lose there isn't anything to be worried about, as long as I'm losing.
I personally, was unhappy, but my team was more than supportive for me. She even took my measurements again and reminded me that in 31 days I have lost 17.5 lbs and 19.5 inches.
She said she saw this a lot - the teetering up and down. I would consider asking your team what more you can do, if they have all the facts they can normally suggest something to help.
I do stick to 3 HNS a day, 120 oz of water, B6, B12, Multivitamin twice a day, and MRC-6. I normally walk about 90 minutes a week and normally only on the weekend - which could explain why I gain on Monday weigh ins & lose by Thursday.
Help! LOL I grabbed a liquid concentrate and the writing on it says Cranberry Tea Fiber. Is this a Fiber drink or HNS? Is Cranberry Green Tea without "fiber" written on the packet the HNS? Are there two different Cranberry teas? I'm so confused.

I've never had the Cranberry - but I just looked at Peach, Pink Lemonade, Vanilla Creme & Chicken Bouillon - none of them have "fiber" on them.
ok, I really need some advice. I am very torn right now. My center raised my goal weight to 133. They thought it would be easier to maintain. I'm ok with that, but would really like to be closer to the 127. I am currently at 137.5 and am supposed to sign my stabilization paperwork tomorrow. There is a stabilization party tonight that I am invited to attend (it is where they take your "After" picture).
My husband has been my driving force through this entire process. He is currently deployed but would be home before the next stabilization party. Should I wait for him to come home to help me celebrate (and wait until I am a little closer to MY goal weight) or go to the party and learn the tips and tricks to stabilization before I actually begin it?

I've been cooking with olive oil, because my understanding is that the aerosol cooking sprays can damage non-stick cookware. I have an olive oil mister (I fill it with oil, then pump the lid to get air in and make it aerosol-like) which helps, as it keeps me from using very much. My question is, are the Pam sprays ok to use on teflon/nonstick surfaces now?
I also have kind of a funny story:
I had a meeting with some professors at the local university this morning regarding possible curriculum for the youth correctional facility, and the professors had brought in a bunch of Panera bagels. I declined a bagel during the meeting, stating that I wasn't hungry, but they were insistent that I take one home with me afterward (and I didn't want to be rude and say, "no, I can't eat what you got me because of my diet"). So, I took a bagel and started home, planning to just throw it away when I got home (I considered tossing it out in the parking lot for the birds to eat, but didn't want the professors to come out and see the bagel in the lot).
I got just down the street from the university, and the smell of the fresh bagel became overpowering. I took a bite. It was wonderful. But then I thought--What am I doing??!!! Since I was driving through the park-slash-golfcourse next to the university, I rolled down my window and spit out my bite of bagel. Then I rolled down my passenger side window and launched both halves of the bagel (frisbee-like) into the park, figuring the birds or squirrels would happily eat it.
While I was doing that, my sister called my cell phone (I know--I'm a terrible, distracted driver), and when I answered, she asked what I was doing. I told her "I'm throwing a yummy-yummy bagel out of my car window." There was dead silence, and she started laughing at me--because she said anyone else I said that to would have thought I'd lost my mind, but she's been on MRC with me, so she totally got it and didn't even have to ask.
It simply wasn't worth the mental anguish to eat the damn bagel--even just a bite of it--and wonder if that's why I didn't lose at my weigh-in tomorrow, or if it's because I've truly stalled.

Do you mind me asking what your fat % is? If it's still high, I would wait to stabilize. They told me that it is harder to maintain weight loss if you're over 25%. Now, I continued to lose through stabilization and got 5lbs under my goal weight. You need to do what you think is best. If you're really wanting to see that 127 and it turns out to be too low, you can always slowly gain a few pounds back. My body sort of picked my maintenance weight for me. It seems like no matter what, I always bounce back to 151. I can go up a couple or under a couple, but it adjusts to 151-152.
