I'm not worried about big splurges and really gaining, but just having to eat out so many meals can't be good! I'm close to 1/2 way to my goal, but I'm expecting things to slow down even more. I hope not.... I haven't weighed anywhere close to my goal in so many years that in a way it doesn't even seem possible. But then, I haven't stuck to a diet and exercise program like this before either!

Congratulations again!
Congrats to you too!! I'm fortunate (or unfortunate maybe) that I don't have any big plans (that I know of any way) while on my program. Well, except for when the fair comes to town, I know I'm going to enjoy ALL the fair foods! I've been waiting for that! Good luck to you and I can imagine that when you do go on vacation, you'll make better/healthier choices! Thanks for the supportive and kind words. You're doing really good too!!

I can't wait to try this. Gonna pick some cilantro from the garden, and buy some tomatoes today. Thanks.
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do... I put it on everything! And, you count it as a raw veggie but do not eat 8oz of it ok? I think I easily could but you're right, it's not the intent (unfortunately).

Day 9 down and still totally on plan! Tomorrow is my final day on the blue menu and then gone for good. I was tempted to take a spoonful of frosting tonight, I even scooped it out of the container, then I thought to myself, do I really want to throw myself out of ketosis??? The answer, of course was NO!! and so down the sink with the frosting. Whew, that was close

It's the little lapses that can cause so much damage...

Getting a streak of days under the belt sure has helped my mindset and....I lost 4lbs, too.

Onward and downward

Good Job! Awesome choice! Understand the feeling. Was doing well and then there was a commercial on for chocolate and I felt my resolve melting. I texted a friend of mine and complained, moaned and groaned. Luckily, I have no chocolate in the house and didn't want to go to the store! Never thought laziness would be my helper in this diet!

Hi Lori! You are doing great! I enjoy reading your posts.

I am a chocoholic so I know how you feel! I have a sign up in my kitchen that one of my friends gave me years ago that is my motto...lol! "I would give up chocolate...but I am no quitter!" What I have found extremely helpful while on program is the chocolate pudding creamy. I always have some in the house for those chocolate cravings. It really hits the spot for me. When I first tried it, it was a little lumpy but I bought a mini wisk at Bed, Bath and Beyond and it works great for the puddings. Something else I have done in the past (it didn't hurt my WI's), I took a meal replacement bar and cut it into bite size pieces and when I needed a little chocolate I would take a little square and eat it.....better than the alternative (real candy)...lol!

Keep up the great work....you are doing awesome!

Take care!

Mel

Everyone is doing so well! And I totally agree, once you get a string of totally OP days under your belt, it gets easier. After about 4 days, the cravings go away and the focus is less and less about food. I've now got 7 straight totally OP days and am down 6#, and it feels so good to be back in control. I hate the feeling of giving up my own power to an inanimate object! lol I don't want to get too cocky about it -- I did that before with some disastrous results (yikes!). But it is nice to be back to a comfortable place mentally about all of this.

Default Meta Quick question

Ok so I am sure there are posts about this here somewhere but at just dont have the time to search for it, so I apologize if this is a repeat question.

I have been on the MetaQuick for 3 days now... and have had the worst stomach cramps (not hunger pains) and constantly in the bathroom since I started!

Anyone else have this problem with this menu?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I checked the MetaQuick thread and there was nothing about cramps. They did say they had increased cravings and gained a pound at first but lost it after they went back OP on reg menu. I would call the center and ask them. Of course they might say you just need internal cleanser. Like one more pill will solve all the problems. Might just be a shock to your system, any other symptoms?

Thanks for looking for me... I am at work and while I can go post stuff or read it if I search and search for stuff it is a nono... anywho.... I am already on the internal cleanser.

I don't know it has been bad... I am wondering though if it is a combination of things TOM, shock to system etc.

Because you think about it the first ingredient in the shake is milk protien... well geesh I haven't had milk in 9 weeks. Just little bits of cheese here and there... then they want me to drink 16oz of milk protein in one sitting ?!?!?!

No wonder my stomach and intestines have been at war! LOL

I don't know about the gaining at first thing for me... I have already (according to scale at home) dropped 3 more lbs in basically 2 1/2 days.

And I am one of those weirdos that if I went on an all liquid diet (which I have done before) once I get past day 2 all my cravings go away.

If I have all power to make any and all choice in what I eat taken away (so like on a liquid diet).... salad vs pizza, grilled vs fried... I rock the diet. It is when I actually have to prep real food or make a choice that I have problems

Thanks for looking for me
