I think CSX.com He only had to pass what he called a simple test. He did'nt go to college , only high school. After he got hired they paid him to travel to Alanta, Georgia for some classes. Before this job he was a teamlead person at a factory. He did'nt have alot of experience . You just had to pass that test. You might look into R.J. Corman, I think that is the name, this is something to do with the railroad which is located in Lexington.I am not sure if Corman is correct but maybe you know what Iam talking about! I just know that the railroad pays good money and so does L-3 communications whom which has been hiring!!
First here is a bigfor Missy!!! Way to hit thos 180's runnin
Thanks to all of you for the support and hugs and dancing carrots! I wasn't overly concerned about the scale fluctuating for one day since I have been OP...but it does weigh on you...what if... it's not water and I have to loose that 1.5 lbs. again! Uggghh! Well...that 1.5 was gone this morning and took a few more oz. with it...So I am right behing Missy ar 189.8 this AM!!! bubuy 190's!
I havnen't given up on the 30DS yet either. I like what it does for my upper body strength and abs. So I'll keep working away at it in my own little low impact way...I haven't been able to do this many push-ups in years! I am still walking every day so I do get some good cardio in as well.
Good Morning All,
Way to go Djay! It does feel good when you see those numbers change. I also had a break through this morning, 3lbs, WooHoo. I was OP & the # just wasn't really changing. My body is a bit wacked but I'm aware of that & have to keep optimistic. Glad to hear of all the good weight losses going on for everyone on our forum. Almost every morning I look forward to my choclate shake ala Djay, you know the one with the instant coffee?
I'm not a coffee drinker but I love it, I dont add the vanilla, only because I keep forgetting to, but its delicious with just the coffee.
Thanks again for that great tip.
Have a great day everyone.
Susan
Hi, mcz1970! I have tried Medifast on different occassions and became disgusted with myself after several restarts and quit. I sold my remaining stuff on ebay.
So here I am, I ordered another shipment (I customize mine) and started Tuesday 10/21/08. I've lost 1 lb so far. I'm not weighing myself until Monday though. The OCD checking the scale everyday doesn't cut it!
Welcome & Good Luck, hopefully if you stick around this forum & chat with us we can help you to stay focused & on plan. I will tell you that this is an amazing source of support. Checking in on here each day gives you the "I can do this" mind set that we all could use. Stay with it. This is the first diet I have ever done where I am not giving myself a time frame where I will think "I'm only doing this for one month then I'll try something else" This plan is so easy & is keeping me happy. I like that we can eat different items throughout the day, not just 3 meals a day.
MCZ , you can do it and we are all here for you.
Susan
Dan-O, I just thought of another possible work place that has been hiring. Go on line to Bechtel and Parsons chick on at Bluegrass chemical Agent Destruction. this is located in Richmond. If you could get your foot in the door it would be a great job. This is a construction co. they are a really, really big outfit. Good Luck!
Today is Day ONE for me on Medifast. I've tried Nutrisystem, and I hated the food, and I've tried every pill out there. This is my last attempt before breaking down and having a bypass. I used to run 4 or 5 miles a day, and be skinny, well, a size 12 on a 6' tall frame is skinny, but at the time, I thought I was fat. I got married, got pregnant 5 times, and only 2 pregnancies made it to full term. I have lost 30 here and there, and gained it all back and then some every time. I need to lose a lot, and I'm stressed about it, but the oatmeal this morning was OK, and the mint bar was OK, so, as long as it tastes OK, I think I'll be OK.....Any advise?
Dumplin, Thank you so much, I will look at both places and it is R.J. Corman, they are in Nicholasville. Thank you again. I can't thank you enough for your support and suggestions! I HAVE TO WORK! Hello! "grin"
DJ, you are doing Great and I know that I personally can let the scale RUN my life and dictate my success, so I can relate. I only weigh weekly for this matter, of course to each their own. I didn't lose a pound this week, but know I am 100% ON plan as always since the beginning and my body weight is just not going down for a week, and that's ok, maybe I am losing inches! The good news is, weight-loss or not, I FEEL great and not that it matters, I LOOK 100% better! So way to walk through it and remember, scale victory or not, YOU are Victorious and 100% On Plan! Keep it up!
Missy, Woo Hoo! 180's Wow! I am jealous!!! Just teasing, but I truly am Happy for you! I can't wait to get there! But I will. "grin" One Day at a time, I will get there! Congratulations and keep up your amazing On Plan Work!
Susan! Congrats! What a great week for you! 3 lbs. Gone! Woo Hoo! You are doing Super!
Dumplin, YOU are the BEST! Wow, Thank YOU so much! I will go to B&P and check it out. I cannot thank you enough, for thinking of me and trying to help me out. I am happy to email you my resume if you would be willing to review and see if it might spark more ideas? YOU are amazing. Thank YOU!
Hi Robin and WELCOME! This is a great Board and a Great Group of Medifasters! We are all here to support you and you can so do Medifast! I tried them all, NS I just could not Stomach the over processed food either! To each their own of course and I know many find success with it and more power to them! Gosh, you are telling my story! I was going to lap band if this didn't work. Then I was thinking so many lap-band patients and gastric bypass patients wind up having to eat like MF anyway, so why not just do it without the surgery. "grin" Thus, here I am. The good news is you can so be a great success at Medifast like everyone on this board! Let us know how we can support you! Have Super First ON Plan Day!

Oh Robin! We are full of advice here and tons of support! So My first piece of advice is to come here and post often! Get totally enthused and involved in this plan. It is your future we are talking about. What could be more worthwhile to you than that!
I was ready for lapband also. It is unbelievable to me that this plan has worked and I was able to stick to it when I have failed so many times. You can too...Some people...but not all, have problems with weakness, tiredness and hunger for the first 2-3 days...but...if you can tough through those...You will have it licked! Just remember that those things are normal and will be over soon as long as you stick to the plan.
After that...You will not believe the energy that you will have! I rarely get hungry and even when I do...It is not a craving for anything in particular...so my next Medifast meal is fine. And thank goodness they are all just OK, so we don't binge on them, right? Oh...and the special benefit that noone warned me about...Wait til you see your skin after about 2 weeks OP. You will beabsolutly glowing...No joke...it actually improves your skin along with your health!
So welcome...Make sure and visit tomorrow. I look forward to hearing how your first day went!
Do you tell people that you're on "Medifast" or describe the diet to them? I already got the "that doesn't sound safe" reaction from the first person I told (upon hearing the 20lbs/month part). I wouldn't mind at all people knowing about it but do not look forward to defending my choice all the time. I gotta tell you, I have researched the heck out of this diet- on the internet and forums- and I cannot find hardly any negative reviews on it. So, I feel confident in my decision. Just wondered what kind of initial reactions you've gotten from family and friends?
Hello Everyone
I am in a mellow mood while I drink my yummy vanilla shake with a touch of PB2 for flavor.
I just bought all the Halloween candy and I was careful to buy only those sweet/sour fruit candies that hold no appeal for me but the kids seem to love. This will be the first Halloween in a lifetime that I did not eat at least one bag of chocolate.
It is still quite warm weather-wise here in AZ and just doesn't feel like Halloween should be around the corner.
I just needed to de-lurk and say hi and send everyone strong Medifast vibes out there.
Take Care.
Hi Ashley- I didn't tell anyone that I was doing this until everyone started noticing and asking me what I was doing. Everyone IRL was just so happy for me and very supportive. Some were a bit alarmed and asked some questions, others wanted to know how they could get started. The most negative reactions I have seen are around the 3fc forums. Some of the ideology of other diets is so contrary to Medifast they kind of blind people to researching the diet. It is just ignorance and I try to remember that is actually helping them believe more deeply in their own plan so I don't let it bother me.
CatWuv So glad you came out of lurkdom! I have been wondering about you! How is the weightloss comming!
No one knows I am on MF, none of their business. That is how I look at it. All they want to do is criticize anyway. So I don't say a word. Works for me.
