Thanks, Dagmar,

And thanks for posting that absurd emoji that 3FC has used for years.

Hope you are doing well us there with wildfires, Arctic blasts, and whatever.

Thanks, Dagmar and Bill. It was just the two of us this year, and we did a homemade pizza for Thanksgiving dinner. I am thankful for peace and quiet, and for your friendship all these years.

The holiday season starts! It's been snowing here non-stop for about 24 hours. To "celebrate" I ate a bunch of really stale awful German cookies last night while vegging out in front of the TV. I won't be able to really lose any weight during the holiday season - too many temptations - but I've got to find sources for good treats if I'm going to eat treats. We're going to Toronto next week - weather willing - so I'm going to do some chocolate and cookie shopping while I'm there.

Lol, Dagmar! Yes, at least you need to eat high quality treats How long of a drive is it to Toronto now? Just a guess, but Canada probably knows how to get the roads in shape after a big snow.

I'm celebrating my 70th birthday today. Wow, where did the years go? I feel like I need 70 more to get everything done! It's very foggy and we have no plans to drive anywhere

We have a new stray dog who has been living under the mobile home for the past few days. Unfortunately, that is also the safe space for the 2 cats when they go out at night, and it's causing a lot of disruption with the dog under there. Twice they have been too frightened to come inside in the morning, which is the normal routine. They don't do well as totally indoor cats (and neither does our sleep). The new dog is also a true escape artist. He seems to get wherever he wants to go, despite fences, barricapdes, etc. We tried to reinforce the bottom of the mobile home when he was out, but he quickly dug under our reinforcements. I don't want the cats to be outdoors and frightened, because they'll get dehydrated which might lead to kidney problems. We can catch the dog when he's not under the house, but he's such a nice dog we don't want to send him to his death at the pound. My latest plan is to keep him in our house in a crate at night, but he doesn't walk on a leash yet, so it's gonna take a lot of work with him. Ugh, I really don't need a new project.

Merry December to all!

Happy 70th Birthday Alice!

Hope you figure out something for all the animals. Sounds like you are going to have a new project for a new life decade - LOL. Sounds like a nice dog and a good addition to your animal family.

Happy New Year, everyone! The years are speeding by. Here's our happy new house dog, Kirby. There's no way we can contain him to our property, but he's got a microchip now. That's the best we can do. So far he hasn't gone far from the dinner bowl

Happy New Year to all my human friends here. And to their dog friends. And to all their creatures great and small.

Just got reminded that it's been 25 years since the fears about Y2K, which we all survived.

Used the new 10lb. hand weights I requested for Christmas for the first time. My sets for the press dropped down to 2 sets of 15 reps but I was able to do 2 sets of 20 reps for the bicep curls. I'm looking at getting another exercise band. I used to use one for several exercises 2 houses back but the last house didn't lend itself. This house might work so I'll probably go for it. There are several used sporting goods stores in town so I'll look there first.

Thanks for checking on me, Dagmar. I'm over 150 miles north of the fires, but my thoughts are down there quite often And now I've read about arsonists deliberately setting more fires! Horrible.

Good going on the weight training! I keep resistance bands near the computer so that I do a few sets in between computer activity. It adds up.
