Wow, all the way til 4:30! That still sounds awful! Being tired is I think my biggest obstacle to eating less. Good luck once the time changes. And remember the scale not going up is a small victory.

I've lost the 2 pounds I gained, so I'm back at my starting weight of 132. Played 2 hours of pickleball tonight, and I'm surprisingly not feeling driven to overeat, even though I'm tired. I'll take it, whatever the reason!

That's a lot of pickleball. If that's what it takes for "not feeling driven to overeat", go for it.

Still at 151 lbs. I don't know how much progress I'm going to make until the snow melts but I'll keep at it. This is my birthday week so there is cake, ice cream, and a couple of fancy dinners in the menu. All ends on Sunday and I'm back to counting the calories. I gave myself a subscription to Masterclass and I'm really enjoying Michael Pollan's segment. I'm starting to look at the food in our fridge and I'm going to work on eating less processed foods. We are not going all out but we can make some changes despite our budgetary restrictions.

That's a worthy goal, Dagmar! I've listened to two of Pollan's books and think he makes a lot of sense. Glad you're holding steady. We have family here until Thursday, so it's a bit more challenging to stick to my planned foods.

Happy Commonwealth Day, Dagmar. As I said on my Beck thread, despite the news, there are still nearly 400 million of us in États-Unis who are proud to be neighbors.

Good luck staying your food plan with visiting family, Alice. I, too am a fan of Michal Pollen's books. What's not to love about, “Eat food, not too much, mostly plants.”

You're holding steady, Dagmar. A good winter strategy!

I didn't weigh this week, but had about the same number of good and not so good days, and the pants still fit.

I'm curious - does Canada do St. Patrick's Day? If so, have a good one

Some Canadians do celebrate St. Patrick's Day Alice. My DH is 1/4 Irish but he doesn't really do anything in particular for the day. They do have several large parades in Toronto but I didn't see anything here.

Glad your pants still fit!

First day of spring and we just had a thunderstorm. Freezing rain coming and then snow. I wonder if I'll see a crocus peeking out from somewhere. I have ordered 3 of the "anchor" shrubs for the front garden. I will be digging out the bed for it as soon as the snow melts and the ground unfreezes. Big period of transition just as the rest of the previous 10 months have been. Getting through it by keeping busy.

Happy First Day of Spring.

Would prefer that it be a tad warmer, but have faith that it's coming. (DW is moving the snow shovels from the front porch back to the basement. I think she's a bit optimistic.)

Still holding at 151 lbs. (though I feel swollen up for some reason). A lot of the snow has melted here, though more is coming down right now, so I'm hoping Holly and I can start walking longer distances at greater speeds.

I have also volunteered for the Humane Society and for the Heritage Gardeners. Both physical activities but at a pace that I can manage.
