Jayell We did compare the price of the food boxes vs shopping for all the stuff ourselves. They are about $10 more per week - totally worth it because of the convenience and the time saved! Plus they are very well portioned so we don't waste any leftovers.

Ange, congrats on being back in your range!
I'm working on my late snacking habit. I've decided to indulge in some magical thinking to help me with this. (Sorry if anyone is a fan of our US President, but I'm definitely not!). So I'm going on what I call the Trump Diet, with the belief that if I am back to 125 by election day, Trump will lose the election If I can get people to join with me and lose a total weight equivalent to POTUS's weight (say, 300 lbs to be safe), then that will definitely get rid of him. No snacking after 8 pm is my new rule. If I haven't yet had dinner, then it's okay to eat dinner, but definitely no snacks!

Ange, it's just 5 or 6 pounds for me, but they have been stubborn pounds! Nighttime snacking is always what trips me up. So far I've made it 5 days in a row with a small deficit and no late snacks. I have to be patient and lose slowly or else I'll drop muscle mass which is much too hard to re-gain.
Greta photo update - she's just the best puppy!

I came here hoping that there was a new pic of Greta. Yay!!
I'll gladly join the "lose a Trump" diet. I can easily afford to lose 10 pounds by US election day. But that will require an actual plan, not just a vaguely worded wish.

I'm really liking Intermittent Fasting. It's a way of eating, not a diet. No calories are counted, and no foods are restricted, although one wants to eat healthy as a matter of course.
I got hungry during the fasting periods for the first week, especially during the mornings, but now that has diminished some. I think that's because my fat-burning enzymes are coming on line.
I also tend to want to have snacks at night just out of habit. I know it's habit because I'm not hungry! So I don't have them.
What I'm doing is fasting 16 hours, eating 8 hours--basically during the period 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. But the hours are flexible as needed. I eat two full meals during the eating period.
I'm down a few pounds, and although I have periods of feeling hungry, I also feel full and satisfied after the meals. I never really felt that way when I was doing the small-meals-plus-snacks regimen.

I'm glad you found something that seems to be working for you Jayell
We are all in a "springtime is coming" mood here, despite arctic winds. Something different about the light and the air and the birdsong. And Trixie and I saw a spectacular huge red sun rise this morning. Awesome!

The caffeine is a necessary evil right now, the cookies more of an indulgence. My day went surprisingly well yesterday due in part to the gorgeous weather. And I slept for almost 8 hours last night - amazing for me.
Today is freezing rain day but I'll make it through just fine. Gortex head to toe and I'll change into a second set of outer clothing when I pick Trix up for the afternoon group walk.

Hump day of a tough week. Snowing outside - SIGH. It's Canada and it's February but I was so hoping that part of winter was over.
