My name is Felicia and I'm 39 years old. My husband and I start LAWL tomorrow (5/28). I need to lose almost 200 pounds and he needs to lose about 160. I'm sure I will have LOTS of questions - and I'm happy to see that quesitons get answered here!
It's awesome that your hubby is doing the program with you.. My wife and I are doing it together and the support we give each other has been critical to our success!!
Fire away with any questions you have and/or just post anything general in the weekly "losers and friends" thread..
My name is Christi and I am 24. I was always VERY active in High School. I did Cheerleading, Lacrosse, biked, roller bladed, hiked, walked, etc. I did all of that because I just enjoyed it and didn't think anything of it. Being conscious of what I ate was never an issue. I never had to know what was a healthy portion size or think about the choices I made. Well, college happened! I became less active and consumed more. It just got away from me. So, at my weigh in on May 23rd I weighed 37 lbs more than my "scary" weight and I knew nothing could stop me.

Ok after all the ???s I have asked her is a bio on me.. My name is stephanie( I am 36y/o) but you can all call me steph. I have been married to Dh for 11 years now. we have 4 kids ages now are 10, 8, 4, and 17 months.
I work from home doing daycare , while my dh is a food sales rep. ( samples, samples , samples) the samples are stopping if its not in the book.
I have never had a weight issue, until I had our 4 kids and lost my mom, and step dad to cancer. I am at 225 today ( lost a few pounds the other day) and want to get to 150. The program seems to be easier to follow then I thought it would be to be honest.
I think I will really lose the weight , and normally I always see the negative first. I don't think to much of myself. I usually put me on the back burner and everyone and everything else first. I think thats how I kinda had all this happen to me ( weight). I guess I kinda figure with this weight I don't deserve anything really.
I think this will be my year to change alotof things or atleast try to.
Thanks for all the help before and to come in the future!
Hi! My name is Jenn and I am returning to the LA program after a 7 year break. I was on and had lost about 40 pounds before I got sick and had to come off the program. I have put that 40 pounds+ back on and it is time for a change. I am starting with a goal of losing 50 pounds, but my ultimate goal is 100 pounds. I am breaking it up to make the goals more managable. I did well on the program before, but my life has changed significantly. I moved to FL for a new job 2 years ago and my job requires me to be on the road alot more. I am hoping with the support of my center and maybe the people here I can make this work! I have to do this for myself! Thanks!
I am Holly, 36, mom to 13 month old Luke. I'm 5'5" and weighed 157.7 at my initial consultation two weeks ago. I want to lose 25 lbs. My COD requires lites and I already told them I was not allergic to the ingredients, so it looks like I’ll be eating them. Duh! I plan to join Friday and start eating according to the instructions Monday. I'm not going to totally pig out this weekend though!
This is an amazingly informative and supportive site. I'm glad to have found it.
Wow, everyone so far has been doing a wonderful job!!! Congrats to all!!
Well me...I am a 28 yo female who is loacted in Toronto, Canada. I work as a nurse, if you couldn't have guessed that from my handle. A few girls at work have been on LAWL for a few months and have lost a great amount of weight so I thought that I would give it a try!!!....Like many of you I have tried pretty much every plan out there and going over the LAWL plan I realized that I was completely eating the wrong foods. Even though the first little while will be a complete challenge, it is one that I am up for!
Looking forward to getting to know you all through this journey we call life!
Hi, my name is Andrea, 34 yo, with 2 kids and DH. I did LAWL two years ago and was successful in losing my 30 lbs. and keeping it off. I had surgery and I gained some of my weight back. Feeling a little frustrated because I keep getting myself off plan. UGHHHHH!
I am starting LAWL on Monday...Any helpful suggestions to get me started? I have never been overweight, but I have always been "thicker" than I wanted to be! I have tried and failed with so many diets and I am a constant Yo-yo dieter, so I kinda need all the encouragement I can get!
