That is awesome katie! The cost of the products alone would be the $200, so 52 weeks is just icing on the cake! At 161 youre so close to goal- good going!

Hey Joni, I scarfed down a bunch of Doritos last night, too, after staying POP for the last day and a half. Could've strangled myself. Guess this POP-princess needs to go back to rehab!

Wow, I've got some catching up to do...I'll do it when I make it into work this morning. Just wanted to pop in really quick and say hi and good morning. Had a bad night last night, had KFC for dinner but I tried to keep all my portions small. Doing good with the scalaholics thing, stepped on the scale yesterday and was up, which is no surprise to me anymore, my clothes are fitting differently so that's all that matters to me. I'll weigh in again on Friday for the challenge. One thing I've noticed though is that if I have a Slimfast somewhere in my day it makes me starved later in the day. Yesterday, I had my Slimfast for breakfast and I was starving after lunch. Oh well...I'm going to print out Kristen's Shrimp Veracruz and get the stuff to make it for dinner tonight with some angel hair pasta.

Anywhoo...personals and more catching up later!

Hello there. Enjoy reading the posts. Thought I was the only one with crazy food cravings! Hope everyone has a great day. As a newbie I have a question, what does POP mean? FF mean? I am now beginning my 3rd week on LAWL. Only down 7 pounds so far. As I have soooooo much to lose I thought it would come off a bit faster at the beginning. Oh well, at least the numbers are moving in the right direction!

Good morning to all...

I have another busy day today...I am picking up my boss from the airport this morning and then we have sales calls and another client lunch. I fear that today is Chinese although I am going to try to angle for Thai (they have salads and fresh rolls that are not deep fried) or a nice seafood restaurant I know in the area. I just saw a piece on CNN this morning about how nasty Chinese food is in the way of sodium...even if you just get the veggies. Yikes!

Anyway, I have a WI today and am going in on the way to the airport. Wish me luck y'all...I have been POP all week. I hope it shows on the @#%^ing scale.

I know this is probably old hat for a lot of you but will someone please tell me if I am correct...I bought a couple of bottles of Knudsen's Morning Blend to have on hand in case I want to do FF...is this the right juice? Since I am not planning on buying the FF juice from COD when I do it next should I even tell them or will that get me a scolding and a sales pitch? There is no way I am paying $32 for FF juice at COD when the Knudsen's was 2 for $5 and is supposedly the same thing. Anyone have eperience here?

Hope you all have a POP day (and STOP talking about Doritos...it just got me thinking about my homemade chicken enchiladas! Ahhhhh!)

Vic- I use Knudsens. I use 26 oz juice with 6oz water and 4 teaspoons of benefiber. I believe that was Cassi's concoction. I do not pay the $$$$ at the COD for the juice.

Bobby Sam - there is a sticky thread at the top of the LAWL forum section called "For newbies please read" or something to that effect, and it explains most of our little abbreviations. Although sometimes we make up our own new ones, along with our own words.... LOL.

Anyway in a nutshell, POP= Perfect on plan, meaning you followed the plan to the letter for that day.
FF= fast forward, the 'unlimited' fast as outlined by LAWL where you drink the juice, no LA lites
TO= Take Off which is similar to FF, but your protein is limited and you use LA Lites.

I know that it is frustrating, but really, 7 lbs is GREAT! Everyone loses at different speeds, that's one thing that you will realize when you hang around here. Don't get discouraged, you will get there.

Ok now that I'm caught up I can add some things I forgot in my other post. I mentioned that I stepped on the scale again yesterday and it was up. I starting dying laughing. Just hysterically laughing at the scale. While the inches are going the right way, the scale just keeps going up. I found it amusing. I'm honestly not even worried about it anymore.

Kristen (and everyone else): I also have access to the LA Chef so feel free to send over some recipes. I've got some that I just got back so I'm going to post them up.

Nancy: its great that you haven't had KFC since starting. Its horrible because I have one right across the street from my apartment building.

Welcome to all the newbies! And to everyone else I hope you have a POP day and I'll try to check in a little later.

Time to eat my Subway Veggie Delite and veggie nuggets...

Warning the Health Department has just issued a warning stating that all flavors of Doritos can be hazardous to your health, mental sanity, and success on LAWL (translated Megan and Joni STEP AWAY from the chippies)
I bought the South Beach diet cookbook and it really incorporates all of the good eating principles that Oz talked about.. unfortunately those of doing Lites are still eating the fructose gunk but I will put a post in about the top recommendations.. it also states limiting carbs to two a day which is what I'm on with gold but it looked like a really good book to utilize once we are at goal.. so many thanks to Nicole, Cassi and Erika for offering to help with recipes...I will pick some that will be appealing to us all and family friendly.
I am off to tidy house before the wee ones arrive home so will chat in a little bit

PS Angie you can also take some recipes to your COD and ask them to submit to the dietician and give you LAWL exchanges.. I've done that with a few and some products as well. I like getting them back from the dietician on line as they revamp a recipe for you entirely. No word on this end about the new journals but let me know if you see them or the Mint Lites!

Hey gang..

Just a quick in and out post here before I get back to work. I've been having a couple of good POP days so far, but came really close to blowing it at lunch..

I had a couple meetings in town this morning and needed to be at our local office to pick up our new Smokey Bear suit. Our state fire management officers were having a meeting in town, so I asked to join them for lunch, figuring they'd go to a place where I could get a grilled chicken salad.

Well, of course, they decided to go to the casino buffet right down the street from the office. I ended up having a largish salad and a couple of spoonfulls of "beef and brocoli" as well as a plate of fruit. Believe me, I could have been much worse...

The beef and brocoli was in some kind of Asian sauce, but I made sure to get stuff that wasn't swimming in it.. Hopefully I haven't done any damage, but I guess I'll know for sure on Saturday. The good news is that even with only a few pieces of beef and a salad, I was really full.

Wish Liz luck. She's interviewing for a different position within her company later this afternoon and I'm sure she'd appreciate some positive vibes.. Thanks!

I went in the freezer here at work a few minutes ago to get out my veggie nuggets and heat them up and someone has the Thomas lite english muffins in there! I'm trying to track down whose it is so I can find out where they got them!

Nancy: Its been a challenge sometimes trying not to go in there. Last night was my first night cracking and going in there since starting the plan. But I'm OP today!

I just posted a chicken pot pie recipe in the main dish thread. There will be plenty more to come when I get home and can access my home email. And I just submitted some more to the LA Chef so as soon as I get them back I will share.

Oh another thing (Kristen you made me remember this) I can get the Mint lites as well as other corporate lites through LA at Home. But I can't get the S'mores lites which I loved when I was going to my franchise center. I'd be willing to order and ship a double box of corporate lites (be it Mint or whatever) if someone could please send me some S'mores lites.

Sorry my posts aren't a little more organized. I've been all over the place today. I wish I could take a nap...
