Eve- hugs and prayers for you, my friend.

Notsofatanymore - your DH sounds like a good man. Sorry about all of your challenges over the holidays. They are the kind of things that can make you crabby.

Andrea - Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Hopefully, you can catch up on some rest over the weekend.

Sally - i am at the upper end of my range right now. Just being patient and trying to stay on track. I agree with Jenny, we can do it!

Jenny, I am stuck near the top right now too. Just trying to relax. Think I might try phase 3 tomorrow. Because I am hungry and have ended up eating too may bars on phase 1.

Ruth Ann - Congrats on your Weigh in! I too, am looking forward to the weekend!

Scorbett, I checked out the web site. Thanks.

Liana, any improvement with your weather?

Hugs, evemomma, not much else we can say but we are thinking of you & your family.

Weather has stabilized a bit here and the road crews are working 12 hr shifts thru the nights to clear the excess plowed snow away from town. Convoys of huge dump trucks and big loaders working to pull it all away from the curbs & corners into 8' piles along the center of the roads to be scraped up and carted away to a huge vacant lot near the edge of town. My boss' road finally got plowed last night before I had to bring the patrol car back to the office so WHEW! what a relief. No more digging out. The snowfall here didn't actually break a record for our area - there was a higher snowfall accumulation at one time in 1945 and in 1911. Unfortunately it is +5C here (approx. 40F) so the piles of snow are melting at an alarming rate. We have a 5-6ft pile along the deck that hopefully will not flood badly under the house. The ground, of course, is frozen and isn't absorbing very much at all. Here's a couple of shots - our Dodge Ram2500 on big road tires on the edge of our drive, and the balcony snow shot, lol. Tuesday and today's.

Liana

Wow! Now I feel silly whining about it being 18 degrees (and no snow) here. You are a much stronger person than I for living with that kind of cold. Kudos to you. Hoping that you don't sustain any water damage from fast melting.

Hello all....quick check in. My dad passed away today...good he is no longer suffering. I'm emotionally beat. It is -15F here with wind chills down to -35F. My dad did not want a service, so no funeral. Luckily, my appetite is null. Miss checking in with everyone!

Oh...and thanks ever so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Eve we are here for you and thinking of you.

Liana - that's a whole lot of snow. Hope no flooding happens.

Slip - I agree, too many days P1 and extra little calories sneak in.

I have my first post holiday WI with coach, last one was 18 days ago. I have never gone that long. Her scale is usually 1 lb lower than mine do I'm usually happy to go

Ran a quick 6.5km last night, it was -9 but felt -20 with the wind. Good news is I overdressed and was too warm. Have 17km Saturday in likely the same weather so will take off a layer. Happy Friday.

Evemomma - sending lots of prayers your way for you and your family.

SallyE - good to see you! Yep, no panicking allowed - good luck with getting those few up pounds back down.

Andrea - hope you're feeling better. Head colds are miserable. Working with a cold is even worse.

Jenny - Thanks! I just hit 8 months of maintaining which, now that I think about it, is pretty darn awesome! Pretty amazing how fast the time has flown by.

Hi Slipfree - are the cherubs any better behaved this year?

Yikes Liana - that's a lot of snow! Be safe.

Hooray for Friday! I think the first week back after the holidays is always the worst week - just had problems getting any kind of motivation going. But did well with my eating and getting exercise in so I'm happy about that. Looking forward to a quiet weekend and watching the football game.

Evemomma - so sorry for your loss. Sounds like you are taking care of yourself.

day 5 of reboot, got my first weigh in tomorrow, anxious as I tried on some skirts last night that I bought at my lightest weight and tho I could zip them, I wouldn't wear them in public. So settling in for the long (ish) haul on P1.

Been eating a lot of roasted and curried cauliflower, not getting sick of it yet! think I'm going to find some muffin recipes! Happy Friday.

Eve; I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts.

Its been a good week. I'm in mid range as far as weight and am slowly getting back into the exercise schedule. I'm working at getting my water in and keeping my portions small. I am still working at getting a couple more lbs off to get to my low range but it'll come. I'm not panicking.

I've been reading everyones posts and enjoy what you all have to say. Have a great Friday maintainers!

Happy Friday Maintainers!

eve: So sorry for your loss.

jenny BRRR. Good luck on your run Sat. and your WI. You'll do great on both.

notsofatWhat a rotten run of luck. Hope things look up for you.

RuthAnn Thanks. I feel a bit better today. I bought a Neti Pot on Amazon because my daughter swears by it. So I'll give it try and see what happens.

Hawaii Good for you on getting those up lbs down! Exercise is going to be a booger for me. I just need to get in the habit again and it will be fine. I did 20 minutes on the bike last night and tonight I'll do 20 walking minutes with Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home.

And I will need to because today was a Fun Day. My company took us all out to lunch to celebrate January Birthday's. I scoured the nutritional menu of the restaurant for quite a while last night and could not find one thing I could make fit a fat meal for lunch. But I did find a shrimp dish for 557 calories. 1:1 ration on fat and carbs. But...I had a beer. My first one in 11 months. I got so buzzed off a 4% beer it wasn't even funny. And then I had to come back to work! So, work out tonight, P1 day tomorrow.

Have a great weekend ya'll.
