Me and my husband went to see a movie last night and as usual he had a large popcorn and large coke which I usually share with him. Not last night though. It was tempting and sort weird to watch a movie without munching on something but I passed the test I guess lol.
However I do have a problem - I always forget the supplement in the morning, can I just take them in the evening with all the other ones?
I think you should probably take them in the morning to split the vitamins you get throughout the day. I'm a forgetful person too, and recently someone gave me a dynamite idea! Put your supps beside your toothbrush so you remember to take them. It's worked like a charm for me so maybe it will work for you?
Hope all is well. I posted here a little bit but then I had a bad stomach flu the last few days. But I am back to eating regular IP-type food and will just wait until Monday for my weigh in. It will be my first weigh in but for 2 weeks, but because of being sick, I thought waiting a few days will give me a more realistic weight.

that's a great idea, that way I won't forget my evening ones either
I know that you have to weigh the protein before you cook, but for the xmas turkey there is no way I can weigh the part of bird I will be having, so what shall I do? I also notice that cucumber and celery are both in unlimited and selected veggies, what's the difference? I asked my coach and she said because they unlimited if they are raw, sleeted if they care cooked. Any suggestions?

Hi all and happy Friday! Fluffefei -- great willpower on the popcorn! That was my biggest worry when I went to the movies with my snackhappy family over Tgiving. I took along a Peanut Butter Bar (cut up into 6 pieces and put in a ziploc) and munched on that … and was satisfied (and proud of myself)!
Scorpio -- sorry you've been sick, but glad you're back OP.
So many of you have had such an amazing first few weeks of losses! (Teags, TOgden, klmo, hmm, MaPetiteChoux (congrats on upcoming wedding!))
Scorbett and Ruth Ann and other vets -- thanks for looking out for us Novemberites. Not sure how you do it with all the other responsibilities on your plate, but we sure do appreciate the guidance.
It has been 4 weeks for me now, and yesterday's WI had me down 4 (the Calm must've worked). Can't believe how much easier things are fitting already, and I'm really looking forward to getting dressed up for a holiday party tonight. Eating properly is going to be a challenge, so I'm thinking of actually getting in a big salad before I go. And popping a bar into my clutch just in case. Even though my overall loss numbers don't seem very impressive right now, the change in inches and back fat and muffin top fat are very welcome. And I am determined to stay OP so I feel even better about things when we head to warmer climates for Christmas

If you have access to a food scale, 8oz raw is going to end up being about 6-7oz cooked. If not, use your hand as a judge....a fist sized piece of meat is about 4oz, so if you do 1 and a half the size of your fist, you should be in the ballpark. If you go over your protein at a holiday dinner, it's no big deal, but that should help you judge your portion
And yes, Cucumber, celery, mushrooms and spinach can be counted EITHER as unlimited or selected veggies if they are raw. But if you cook them, then they only count as selected. So if you have a spinach salad for lunch, but find that you're hungrier at dinnertime than usual, you can have another cup of veggies at dinner and count the spinach as unlimited. But if you're not hungry, count it as part of your 4 cups. Lettuces are ONLY unlimited, so just be aware of that
Thanks for the advice scorbett, great to have vets like you guys answering questions.
Mini - that was hard on my part watching hubby munching on the popcorn. I should have brought a bag snack next time like BBQ chips or the southwest puffs which is my favorite. Have fun at the party and don't cheat :P
I really appreciate your "don't cheat" comment -- I will have that in my mind as I saddle up to the open bar and ask for more club soda with lime! Great support here
Hi ladies! How are all the November ladies doing? It's been kind of quiet in here lately, hopefully no one has fallen off!
Christmas can be a tough time to stay OP, but I like it becuase it's a challenge and it gives us an idea of what it's going to be like in maintenance. I have had a few parties and managed to stay 100%OP through most of them! I did allow myself some drinks this weekend, but stuck to what I planned and didn't slip at all in the food department.
I'm pleased to see how well the program is working for me so far, 28 pounds in 5 weeks is pretty motivating!!
Question for you ladies - I'm trying to think of a new mini goal, how do you guys do it? Do you have mini goals?
Morning everyone!
Congrats to everyone for sticking to plan through all the holiday events this time of year!
I'm still here and just trucking along. My weight loss came to a sudden halt after my first weigh in. It's TOM now so hoping that's the cause of it. I've been drinking 96 to 112 oz of water a day and trying to just keep things flushed out in hopes I get a big whoosh one of these days.
Kinda bummed out because after that first week I had my hope's up that I'd be done by New Years... oh well, maybe the longer I'm on it the more I"ll learn that I can't just eat whatever I want for a month or two and then think this is a quick fix.
I'm not ready to give up my workouts, but might ease back a bit in the New Year if things still aren't moving.
Good morning all! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I have my 2nd weigh in tonight, I'm really excited for it because today I'm wearing jeans that have been at the bottom of my drawer for eons, no muffin top whatsoever! It will be interesting to see what the scale at my coach's office says.
I went on a weekend shopping trip with my mom and sister-in-law, there were so many treats and goodies everywhere (and yes, the girls were eating them in the truck beside me). I didn't once slip all weekend. It was actually pretty easy to stay OP. I keep telling myself that I can allow myself those goodies in moderation later, right now it's time to lose the weight! I have a trip booked to Bermuda in May too so that's another reason not to cheat. I'd like to look good in a bikini on the beach!
