Welcome Karrindell! Looks like you and I have about the same amount to lose. I wanna lose about 120 lbs but might just go to 130 lbs, depending on how I feel. I just had my 6th weigh in today and I'm down 26 lbs. Although my 6th week isn't over till Friday. You'll love this group. So many truly inspiring ladies here to help you along your journey.

Andi

I just wanted to let you ladies know that truly this year has passed by for me. I am 7 lbs away from losing 100 lbs and 42 away from my goal. I am 5'7'' and started out at 310 lbs in Jan. Stay 100% and get a routine down and then it just becomes habit and second nature. Once you stop over thinking it, it goes by fast! Of course this is my opinion but I pray everyone has the same great experience I have had on this new journey.

I also.. have over 100lbs to lose. My first weigh in yesterday, I was down 12.5 pounds and 2.75 inches. Very excited!

I am a terrible pill taker. I always forget my supplements. Any ideas?

I was also....I bought snack size ziplock. Put all my peels for the day in one baggy. I would grab it everyday and I also put one in my purse and one in my truck so just incase I forgot and I had already left the house I could take what I needed.
Good luck on the pills :)

I seriously feel like it was a very short time ago I was y'all reading these post , just starting out. A few things I did at the beginning was, declined lunch or dinner invites. with Hubby and kids (13,14 boys) permission, cleaned out everything that was a trigger for me in the house. Again opinion, I feel that truly helped me stay 100% in the beginning months.

For losing 100 lbs what reward would you give yourself?

Down another 2 lbs. My coach had to actually move the big weight on the bottom from the 200's down to the 150's. Oh it felt so good to see that..Yay! But the 50 lb marker went all the way to start at the other end again, but that's ok. Knowing the bottom marker has moved into the next notch is wonderful.

Andi ~ I loved when my bottom weight went from 250 to 200...such a great feeling...I am happy for you! I am now waiting to get that one to the 150 mark! Soon....:D

For my first vacation I found these little ziplock pill pouches at Walmart. There was a checkbox for AM and PM. I did bring all my bottles with me the first time and then divided my pills every morning but we were in condo and I had a kitchen so it was pretty easy...this last trip to California I just brought the baggies with the pills and I was all set.. Easy to transport!

Lots to do this AM, having my hardwood stairs refinished so I need to make sure I have all my food and things I need out of the kitchen and onto the first level of the house...Lucky I have a fridge in the garage so all my supplies and lunch will be in there...

Thanks for all the supplement ideas ladies!! The boyfriend and I are headed to the store tonight to get some vegetables and the pill case, so I can plan ahead for the rest of the week! <3

Today should have been my 6th weigh in, but my daughter and I are both home sick. Had the IP chicken noodle soup for breakfast! According to my scale, I am down 21#, which is 3.5#/week average. AND that is with a considerable increase in hydration and a gain in muscle (with no weight lifting). I also have reduced my metabolic age significantly.

However, this has been a bad week for me. I have been so incredibly busy this week - spending 12 hours or more working every day. I have been having trouble getting in all my water, veggies & vitamins. Yesterday I didn't shower because I didn't have time. Need to start logging better & staying 100%. I'm not eating cheat foods, but I am not eating as much as I should be. I will be quitting some of my volunteer activities starting this spring so that I can live a more normal and less stressful life! I need to take care of myself!!

Oh, I forgot - I will be leaving with my husband for our 10th anniversary in a little more than 3 weeks. We will be away for 11 days. Boy, would I love to be in onederland for that vacation. So I need to lose 9#. Yes, I must get back to 100% compliance!

Oh gosh, horrible to be unwell and coping with IP 100% compliance. I feel for you and your daughter both!

Fingers crossed for Onederland for you. So, so very close. You can do it. :)

Hi! I am new to ideal protein and need to lose 100 pounds to be at a healthy BMI.

Does anyone here work shift work? I work nightshift tonight and just don't know how to balance that! Before I was on IP I would usually have a midnight supper, and then breakfast around 6. I eat supper before I go as well, around 5pm. I don't think I can work 12 hrs eating only veggies??

Welcome!

One of my very good friends did IP as a 3rd shift nurse. Changing her eating habits wasn't easy (that's how she got overweight in the first place!) but she did it! She just broke up her 3 meals + snack in a way that worked with her awake schedule.

One of your 3 meals is protein plus 2 cups of veggies. It's TOTALLY up to you which meal that will be - whether it's before, during, or after work. As long as you get all 3 packets, veggies, water, and supplements in every day, it doesn't matter how you break it up. You'll get a good feel for when you are hungriest within the first 2 weeks, and can plan your "real food" meal for that time.

Not many people have an easy time adjusting to the IP eating plan at first, regardless of when we work. But it is worth it! Remember that you didn't get to your current weight by accident - so you will have to be even more intentional to get rid of it.

I work from 9pm-4am and am often on regular day life as well, since I work part-time plus on call. I just count my awake hours & break it up accordingly. The evening of a shift I will eat dinner between 6 & 7, then go to work taking a protein and veg with me (if I feel quite hungry) and a protein bar. I will eat one of those (depending how I feel) at around 1 am.
I get home at 4:30 and go straight to bed. Lunch is when I get up usually noonish and supper at the regular time. I always have an extra packet or bar with me in the car (I patrol) so that if I feel snackie I can have it. Otherwise I eat my snack at 3 pm ish. That way there isn't really much difference between my regular daytime life and my nightshift life. I actually lose weight when I'm on night shift as I walk for 3 hrs of a 6 hr shift at about 3mph. And I have limited access to extra foods, lol.
If I had the protein & veggies in the early hours, I eat a packet for 'lunch'. If I had only the bar, then I have the protein & veg for 'lunch' so it balances out.

Confusing I know.... :dizzy:

Well, the "sickness" never really developed into anything major. My daughter only missed 1 day of school & we both just kinda laid around for a day. I think I was just exhausted from a crazy schedule.

Today I will be logging everything so that I can get back on track 100%. I've been skimping on my vitamins, water, veggies. I did lose 2# in 2 days, but that was probably just dehydration so that's not good.

So hard to drink water now that it's cold. I will have to keep making herbal tea to get it in me.

So happy!, I got on the scale this morning to find a 30.1 lb loss..Yeehaa! According to my chart it seems that I've lost 10 lbs approx. every 3 weeks :). This is very exciting to me. And I have made a chart for everything..my daily weight loss, my weekly weight loss at IP, my weekly inch loss and of course a daily journal that I've called, "A Journal of My Thoughts, Feelings, Changes and Progress." It makes me feel like a kid again when I used to write in my diary then took it under my mattress so no one could see it..lol.

So glad everyone made it through Hallowe'en without going off course. My biggest thing was the pumpkin seeds. I made 2 batches. First 2 came from my daughter and her BF's pumpkins then the second from my son and his GF's pumpkins. I usually love snacking on a handful, or maybe more, of those very salty goodies. But nope, this year I just enjoyed smelling them and lived vicariously through the kids as I watched then enjoy eating them..lol

I too love pumpkin seeds, Only my youngest likes them. Poor kid saved them and I made them up and then he offered me some and of course I refused. He was so much more aggravated then I thought about being lol He just knew there had to be a way I could eat some due to them being a seed and seeds are not unhealthy.

Congrats Andi!!! Your doing great.... :carrot::carrot::carrot:

Do you have a plan in place for the holiday? I am planning now since I do all the cooking. My coach also mentioned this week that I can soon start some exercise like a 20 minute walk per day..... I am ready to make that part of my routine... Feeling better every day. Just need those pesky 2Lbs to fall off me so that I can be in the 220's before Thanksgiving...that would make me a happy camper for sure....

Thanx Sg. I am Canadian so we've already had our Thanksgiving. But for Christmas my plan is to be 100% OP. We go to my in-laws for our Christmas dinner so I don't need to worry about cooking at all. Although we do have a big New Years Eve bash at our house so that one might be tricky. Everyone usually brings a dish. And of course those dishes are LOADED with all those yummy carbs. Not to mention all the champagne and other assorted cocktails. Up to now I've not had a problem avoiding things, but that one I'm a little concerned with. We'll see how strong I feel when the time comes closer. I might just have to postpone it till sometime in the new year. We usually have a St. Patty's Day party too so maybe we'll have a "New Years-St. Patty's Day" party rolled into one this year. My coach has also said I can start doing a bit of walking now too. I just don't have to gumption yet..lol I know I'll get there..but not quite ready yet.
