Good Morning all you lovely losers..lol And what a beautiful morning it is too, here in South Western Ontario. The sun is shining and it's going to be in the mid 60's till at least Wednesday. This must be our Indian Summer. Probably our last nice weekend to get outdoor stuff done. Was pleasantly surprised to get on the scale this morning and see a 27.5 lb loss. I've decided to reward myself with every 20 lbs I lose. At 20 lbs I bought a new purse. Now I'm eyeing a pair of black high heeled ankle boots that I'd like to wear to the in-laws at Christmas. I haven't been able to wear heels in a couple decades. Only 12.5 lbs to go till they're mine..lol No one in the family knows about my weight loss yet. Not even that I'm on a diet. Been trying to keep myself hidden..for now. Only a handful of people know. So I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they all see me for the first time Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that none of them decide to drop in unexpectedly and ruin my surprise.

Had To Share What I've Found...

I've been watching some YouTube videos about LCHF diets. Which is "low carb, high fat and moderate protein" and oh my Goodness..I just had to share this with all of you. When I started IP my eyes opened up about what I'd been doing wrong all these years. Now that I've found this website, www.dietdoctor.com, (which I was lead to from watching the YouTube videos), my eyes are wide open. In the videos on there, the bariatric doctors talk about what could clearly be what we are all learning from the Ideal Protein diet. Even though the words "Ideal Protein Diet" are not mentioned. A couple of the weight loss stories that I've read states that Weight Watchers is really quite bad for you. This is due to losing not only the fat but the muscle too. Wow!, I have been on the Weight Watchers diet 6 or 7 times. It's no wonder I could never stick with it. It's incredible what I've just learned. If any of you get the chance to go onto this website, please watch some of the videos. Some are pretty lengthy but are well worth the time. I look forward to hearing some feedback from you. And would love to discuss things. Wow! I just feel so informed and inspired now. Like I said, IP opened my eyes but this website takes it a step further and now my eyes are wide open.

WI today 2 days early s not expecting to be 50 down:( I will get that next week! Then on to a new goal!

Yesterday morning I grabbed a fleece pull over out of the coat closet to walk the dog. I never turn the light on so it was still pretty dark out. When I got home DH was up and he looked at me and said "why are you wearing my golf windbreaker?" Holy heck! I cannot tell you how long it has been since I could wear my husbands clothes....I nearly cried! He gave me the biggest hug and told me again just how proud he is of me :carrot: I am so lucky to have my husband as my biggest cheerleader....

I also have another bag full of larger clothes that I am giving my Mom. She is also trying to lose weight but her muscle tone is shot so she needs the bigger sized pants...at least for now I can help her out so she does not have to spend the money on new clothes. She is retired on a budget... Time for the kid to give back....

Isn't it awesome to have such wonderful husbands. Mine is very supportive too. We are 2 lucky ladies. And YAY! on that NSV. That's fantastic.

I also.. have over 100lbs to lose. My first weigh in yesterday, I was down 12.5 pounds and 2.75 inches. Very excited!

I am a terrible pill taker. I always forget my supplements. Any ideas?

Welcome and Wow! 12.5 lbs your first week. How awesome is that? Good for you. I'm pretty good with remembering my supplements so I can't really relate to that. Why don't you keep them with you IP packets so you see them each time you have to have a meal?

Viance program is based on a clean eating approach. They have shakes, bars and tons of delicious recipes. I just finished the 3 day fast and now on stage 2, the fat burning portion. Hopefully the pounds continue to come off!

Great job!

Just an FYI though, this particular post is on a forum for the Ideal Protein diet - unfortunately there are probably many things you are able to eat on your program that we cannot. You are absolutely welcome to post anywhere, but please be respective of the diet restrictions other plans impose if you are posting about foods.

There's actually an entire forum for folks that have 100lb loss goals:
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/100-lb-club-55/

I couldn't find a forum specific to your diet program, but there is one for packaged meal plan diets that might also be helpful:

As I mentioned, feel free to post and share here, we're all in this together! Just be aware that here we will be posting specifically about Ideal Protein :)

Thanx Scorbett..those couple of posts were quite confusing. I thought Ideal Protein had something new that I wasn't aware of.

I have a 7 day tray from my IP Clinic that contains removable divided pill containers - each day's container has a compartment for 'breakfast', 'lunch', 'dinner', 'bedtime.' that way you can fill the whole week ahead and take the little day container with you in your purse if you end up going out. Works like a charm even for vacations as you can take a week's worth without taking along all your bottles. It doesn't have to be from IP, you can get one of these from any pharmacy/drugstore.

7th WI...

Down another 2 lbs. My coach had to actually move the big weight on the bottom from the 200's down to the 150's. Oh it felt so good to see that..Yay! But the 50 lb marker went all the way to start at the other end again, but that's ok. Knowing the bottom marker has moved into the next notch is wonderful.
