A good way of doing the egg thing, Briael, is to buy a little carton of egg whites and a dozen eggs, then you aren't wasting the yolks - and quite often the carton of whites goes on sale (at least here). They last for quite a long time too. That's how I did it in P1-3.

Thanks for the tip. Guess I'll be shopping for egg whites tomorrow then! :)

The medical community now knows that dietary cholesterol doesn't contribute to serum cholesterol. The low carb diet actually does more to support cholesterol, normalize LDL:HDL ratios, and lower triglycerides.
Eggs (and saturated fat in maintenance) are things we don't have to fear, as once thought. Another thing to keep close eye on, however, is Omega 6 fats from vegetable oils. These cause an inflammatory response in the body (as do too many processed grains). And the medical community has found a much more clear heart disease correlation with inflammatory markers than with cholesterol.
RE: eating 8oz or even 6 oz meat.
When I started IP, a dinner portion was 6-7 oz. If you need to split your dinner portion into two four oz portions, go ahead. Just know this doesn't cut back on the amount of packets you have daily. But there are certainly packets that are less filling than others.

Thank you for the informative update, much appreciated. Lost my Dad quite a while ago, so I never bothered to check for more recent information. Appreciate you correcting me - especially as DH *loves* hard-boiled eggs as a snack. :)

Very nice indeed! The kind of christmas prezzie I'd like to find in my stocking, but won't. :)
