I, too, have been doing tons of baking (and fudge and toffee making). Once I got out of the habit of finger tasting, i have not really wanted to eat what I make. The funny thing is, after a whole day of rolling, baking and decorating hundreds of cookies, sweet is the last thing I wanted. Instead, I was craving a burger and fries! I guess it was more about comfort food than cookies because I was tired from being on my feet all day.

Congrats on Onederland, it feels like the best achievement so far, right? :)

Schenectady, I have always liked your optimistic and upbeat posts. We both go back to 2013, so I feel like you and I are old friends! Great job keeping your diet and weight on your mind. You are doing great being nearly 90 pounds off your all time high!! Congratulations!!! It's a tough nut to crack -- and has been a struggle for me. Actually I am pretty good at losing weight, but not so good at maintaining. This time, I think I might try simply making IP more of a lifestyle change as opposed to a discrete "diet" with an end date.

I like your play on the word regression. I always forget the other (non mathematical) meanings (probably due to me being a Math major in college.)

re·gres·sion rəˈɡreSH(ə)n/ noun

1. A return to a former or less developed state.

2. A return to an earlier stage of life or a supposed previous life, especially through hypnosis or mental illness, or as a means of escaping present anxieties. "regression therapy"

3. A lessening of the severity of a disease or its symptoms. "The treatment produced a regression in this disease"

4. Statistics. A measure of the relation between the mean value of one variable (e.g., weight) and corresponding values of another variable (e.g., time).

Avalon - I love reading your entries and even go back and reread them to give me a jolt! You are so well informed AND determined at the same time. I am so inspired by your words.

Yes, we do go back a bit but we will both hit the target together, too, sometime in the future. I have come to some painful realizations about what refined sugar does to me and I am now cognizant of the need to give it up completely. I may end up relaxing on things as time goes on but I know now that I am absolutely unconditionally unable to handle that kind of sugar - and there is no reason to!

Today it is official. Down 3lbs this week and firmly in onederland! Sure makes passing on all those Christmas treats worthwhile. Starting the new year almost 70 lbs lighter than last year feels good too!

Ending the year at 91 pounds gone for good, when I started 100 seemed overwhelming and impossible. Now it's next on my radar. :dizzy:

Excited to join the great losses. Down 110.2 as of today! Feeling good and ready to move to Phase 2 in a week or two. Starting to read the maintainers threads...

Tomorrow is my weigh in after my last horrendous weigh in where I had eaten every baked thing that did not move! My coach and I discussed avoiding, giving up refined sugar completely. I have followed through and think I will have a good weigh in.

I am approaching Onederland (again) and approaching -100 (again). I never thought I would have to go through that part of the journey again but I so underestimated my willpower, addictive nature and focus.

Lesson to be learned......

So many fantastic results posted. So impressive! Congratulations to one and all!!!

Schenectady

Hang in there! I completely understand how addiction can pull you right back in. That seems to be the story of my life. It looks like you're doing the right things though--getting support, working on the root of the problem, and getting back on program. Good for you!:bravo:
