Yay! I'm down 15 lbs in just under 3 weeks. This makes me very happy :)

So happy to see this thread thriving!

I'm happy to report that after my second week of zero loss, I clocked in a 6lb loss this week, and broke 30lbs total! That's even after travelling for business 4 days last week.

Anyone in Canada thinking about their Thanksgiving menu yet? I"m still trying to decide what to do! :hungry:

Chef Verati usually has a Thanksgiving menu on his FB page or you can google it. I saw a whole menu done on one of the videos (I think it was a Christmas menu but same thing).

Good for you, that's awesome news. As for Canadian Thanksgiving. My DH and I will do the usual..turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and some type of veg. I for one will be taking only 8 oz of the turkey and 2 cups of veg. But speaking of gravy, does anyone know if WF makes some sort of gravy. Or something else I could use as gravy..to put on the turkey? And then I'll do the same again at Christmas :tree: :)

Miss Andi- This recipe for gravy was posted on the Thanksgiving Ideal Protein Recipes:

SAUCE / GRAVY
Pour 6.5 oz. (200 ml) of hot (not boiling) water into a bowl. Add one packet of Ideal Protein Chicken Soup or Leek Soup and mix with a mixer or hand mixer. Serve over vegetables and/or meat.
Add more or less water depending on how thick you prefer the sauce.

Reading that post on the gravy I think the mushroom soup would work well too...

Thanks for the congrats! I'm really feeling great. Love that everyThing in my closer either fits or is too big. :)

All this talk about thanksgiving has me thinking about it. I am actually not too worried. I have been cooking separate meals for the family since I started in July so other than grabbing someone to see if pasta is done, I'm good. Traditional thanksgiving here I can make my own veg and eat turkey. I always have a huge salad with every holiday. I think I'll be fine. Now baking cookies for our annual cookie exchange may be a different story lol....

Check the fun with veggie purées thread, as well. You can find a link in the first post of the community chat thread.

Thanx so much. I never even thought of that. But then I'd have to count that as a protein too right? So I wonder if it would be ok to just eat my 2 cups of veggies for lunch then use the gravy at dinner with the turkey? Still trying to learn all the things I can and cannot do.

Yes, I've found it a little confusing with all of the holiday recipes that include more IP packets. It seems like you could really go over your food and protein allotment. I'm planning to use a broth based gravy with veggie purée to thicken, roasted turkey, and salad and cauliflower mash. I may be over a little in veggies but I don't feel the need to use packets for some of the mock recipes.
