It's hard to admit this... I want/need to lose 158 lbs. I'm 5'7" and a size 20 - 24 depending on the cut of the clothes. I sustained severe spinal trauma in late October due to a car accident where someone rear-ended my truck going 65+ MPH while they were texting and driving. Everyone involved is "OK" as in... we can all walk and he fared the best out of all of us. Lovely how that works. Anyway... The pain has lead me to believe that I NEED to shed this weight in order to help feel better AND to be healthier and better suited to taking care of my 10 month old son.

It's going to be a long road and I know I'm going to need you ladies every step of the way.

No shame in admitting what you need to lose here...we are all in the same boat. Sorry about your accident. You will find once you get into the swing of IP, plan is easy and the weight comes off. You will do great. I started out my first week with a 12lb loss which gave me the momentum to keep it going....

Welcome MrsWellington! This is a great community. You will find such support here!

As of this week I have lost 70lbs and am officially overweight (no longer obese)!! :carrot:

I am so excited!! I am still in disbelief how successful I've been on this plan. Today, I feel with 100% certainty that I WILL reach my goal! I may not get there as quickly as I'd like but it will happen. My next goal is to weigh less than my DH...hopefully by Valentines Day.

Amazing how being overweight made me neglect myself. I have ironed more clothes, shaved my legs, used moisturizer, painted my toenails...basically, have more pride and made more time for myself more than I have in years. Tomorrow I have an appnt to get waxed. Yikes! :yikes: We'll see how that goes.

:carrot::carrot::bravo: no longer obese!! Can't wait till I get there....

Hoping for the best! I had a bit of a whoosh today, although I had to go by my home scale since my clinic's closed this week.

Congrats T! I've also noticed that weeks when weight loss is slower, shaping commences with inch loss. It's a fair trade off, and means your clothes will fit better, rather than seeing a number on the scale. :)

Hit my 61 down mark....:carrot::carrot::carrot: AND Dream Jeans are being worn now!!! Yeah Me... of course I am taking them off so that I can do all my cooking and cleaning. Since it is just the 3 of us tonight and I am making 6 of the 7 fishes LOL (the 7 would have been Calamari salad which only I eat and I don't want too have that) I may wait to wear those jeans tomorrow when the family is here. I am so so happy...

Made it thru making my Italian Knot Cookies last night without a taste...Today I have to make the chocolate Chips and Snickerdoodles, then make my cookie trays up and deliver them to my neighbors ( I have a few elderly neighbors that I bake for ) Today I will also prep the side dishes for tomorrow so that I don't spend the day in the kitchen. DS and I will also prep the house and get the table set today.

WTG Sue!! :carrot: You did it! What a great gift. That must be such a boost to get you through the next couple days of temptations.

I was thinking about you last night as my DD and I were making a small batch of cookies for her and her brother to decorate. It was SO hard. Fresh cookies out of the oven are apparently a weakness for me. I actually had to have DH finish up in the kitchen for me while I went and hid in a nice hot bath. If I was soaking wet I couldn't get into any trouble. ;) I don know how your doing all this baking and not being affected. That is some iron will at work.

That was the closest to an unplanned cheat that I've come to. No more baking for me...until P4 anyway. Whew! Close call.

Incredible job!!! You are a great example of how dedication to the program works day in and day out!! Congratulations!! :congrat:

Congrats Sue!! You're inspiring me to get thru today's baking - I've got cookies and pies on the agenda. Plus some sides-prep as well.

kimo88 12-24-2014 09:56 AM

Omg congrats Sue!! And those dream jeans yay!!!! I'd imagine you were probably dancing all around the house super excited (I know I would be!).

Happy Christmas Eve to all. My home scale was at 197.8 this morning, so I am officially declaring myself in onederland! Best Christmas gift ever.

I, too, have been doing tons of baking (and fudge and toffee making). Once I got out of the habit of finger tasting, i have not really wanted to eat what I make. The funny thing is, after a whole day of rolling, baking and decorating hundreds of cookies, sweet is the last thing I wanted. Instead, I was craving a burger and fries! I guess it was more about comfort food than cookies because I was tired from being on my feet all day.

All my prep is done for the day except my cauliflower which I will make in a bit. Going to wake the family in a few then get dressed in my dream jeans to greet my company! Merry Christmas!
