Hey guys, don't let the slow weeks bum you out! Especially the closer you get to goal. Just before I phased off I went 3 weeks pretty much exactly the same and then boom! down another 4 or 5 pounds. Then I'd stay the same for a bit and down again. Funny though, those slow weeks were when I was having the most inches lost - I flew through pant sizes towards the end, think I actually skipped size 8 and went straight to 6s.

Good morning, fellow May starters! Happy July! Today marks exactly 2 months since I've been on Ideal Protein. Heading off to go kayaking with my hubby and kids this morning. Just tried on the swimsuit that i bought for my vacation last month and guess what! It's too big! I'm covering it with shorts and a tank and calling it good, but it's still pretty darn exciting.
Whenever you started in May (for me it was May 1) you are well into your second month. We are DOING THIS, people! So crazy-awesome. Have I mentioned today how much I love IP? It works! |
last week (wi 6) i gained 3, and this week stayed the same---no cheating,drinking plenty of water, cloths fit that didn't before----trying not to focus too much on the scale, but it is frustrating to be following the plan and not lose anything.....my home scale has me as loosing 4lbs.... the cloths fitting mean a lot though. i think i lost a bit where they don't measure ( my thighs). not looking forward to this weekend and no vodka/tonic and lime.

I started on May 8th at 154. 8 weeks later 100% OP I weighed in yesterday at 135.5. No cheats. None. This plan works! Keep pushing! 19 pounds gone and it feels great!

Week 9 WI -4.3!! Was hoping for 5 but still pleased. I too had a few weeks when i was losing 1 or less then 1 pound and yes it gets frustrating because we are making such an effort and not cheating etc. I can just be happy I make an overall progress as the weeks go by. Down 31.4 and have a long way to go but I know that I never want to go back to that +31.4 pounds again.
Keep chugging along. I was going to reward myself at the 25 lb mark now I have decided to save it for my 50 pound mark... 18.6 pounds to go!!! I prefer to take it in small chunks rather than the big total... That makes me overwhelmed. We are making this happen ounce by ounce!! |
I started May 7th so today is the 2-month mark. So far I'm at -30.2 lbs and could not be happier. My husband is on plan too (how could he not be when I am doing all the cooking!) and he too is right at 30 lbs lost. Am hoping the next two months are as easy AND as successful.

I'm almost at my two month mark- July 16- and I am down 33 lbs. I could not be happier!!! I LOVE IP!!! I absolutely can not wait to get to onederland!!!! I haven't been there in 5 years. It's hard for me to believe that I managed to gain 93 lbs in the past 5 years!!! But it wonderful to know that I can lose that much in a year or less!!!

Started May 8th at 152.4. Yesterday weigh in 132. Down 20 pounds in 8 weeks. Very happy and excited!

Week 10 WI loooow .7lbs. UGH...My scale said 2. down however I can't argue with the scale at the IP clinic. I can only look forward to this week and continue to do what I have been doing. Decided to walk 30 min 3-4 times this week to see if I can tone up a bit...Makes me feel so great. I will up my H2O while doing so and make sure I take note of how I feel so as not to push myself.
I have seen a patter too...A high weight loss one week...two low weeks...back to a high loss. Frustrating? Yes, but a loss is a loss. Slowly but surely we'll all get there. Keep going MAY STARTERS!! |
Today ends week 10 and I'm down 33 lbs. I haven't been below 180 in years and it feels great. This is probably the longest I've ever lasted on any plan other than the "eat with wild abandon" plan (EWWA). Overall, I'm still completely committed. Hope the next 10 fly by.

Thanks Annie! WI week 11 -2.8. Total down 34.9...Lost inches in hips and waist. Arms aren't budging...not a cm since I've started...will probably be the last to go. Was thinking of switching my " dinner " with " lunch" and having my 8 oz of natural protein at midday and just veggies (2cups) and IP protein shake for dinner.. Anyone else eat this way ? My coach said that it was fine to do so I thought I'd change it up a bit.

Week 12 and am at about -38. However, I think my hair is finally starting to go. Either that or my stylist got a little overeager with the bleach and it's breaking off. Ah well. Maybe the hair loss will move on to my mustache.

Hey may starters! WI week 12 -2.8!
Down 37.7 lbs. Closer and closer to the 50lb mark that I am hoping to hit by the first week of September. Going away a few days in Aug and am trying to plan ahead as I ll be in a hotel for three days ... Any tips for travelling? |
WI week 10 down 35 lbs. I'm so ready to hit 50, then be under 200!

Today was wk 13 loss was only 1.6 ...a tad confused bc my week was soooo fantastic...super healthy/ controlled eating at the right times etc. I had a new coach today bc mine was out however she said I lost inches in my arms, waist, hips and thigh...sooo I'll take the inches. :) Down 39.3 ughghg almost 40. Hoping to hit 50 by the beginning of Sept. 4 ...My goal is still another 55 pounds down so I am only halfway to my phase 4 stage but feeling great. |
Hi fellow May starters! Today marks 3 months on IP for me. I'm down 40 lbs and I'm wearing clothes I could only dream of wearing 3 months ago. This week will be a slow one as I'm recovering from minor surgery, but soon I'll be back to 100% and scrawnificating some more. Good golly, I love IP. How are the rest of you doing? I love the way the October starters keep in touch. I hope we can do the same! We're all in this together. :D

Hello :wave: i joined 3fc in May and still learning my way around. .... Slow learner maybe? I started my new lifestyle change and weight loss determination a day after my birthday :hat: a girls gotta have birthday cake. Hopefully I will post weekly (or more ) on this thread because this site helps me stay on track. If I write it down :book2: then I become accountable. Wish I saw this post sooner :dunno: ok. Hooray May Mavens on all of our successes! I thought I was 13 weeks in, but realized it is 12. Down 51.2 lbs. I am so relieved that I've taken control on my weight rather than let it continue to define and limit me.

When I started, my goal weight was 165 based on my doctor’s recommendation to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I remember see the number I had to lose to do it (40bs) and thought “no way”. Well, I started on May 7th so yesterday was the 3-month date for me and am down 41 lbs. – one lb. under my original goal.
Because I'm not yet at in the normal BMI range for my height and not quite content with what my body looks like at this weight, I’ve readjusted my goal downward. I’ve also become a little fitness obsessed (hello, yoga) and maybe a little preoccupied with food prep/presentation products (why yes, I do need a hardboiled egg mold in the shape of a star) but that might be a story for another day. I’m glad to see everyone still hanging in here and can’t wait to see what the next 3 months brings for us all. PS: I think that Kelly has a new photo – looks great! So nice to put a face to the name. |
