Hi all, just got back from WI with less-than-hoped-for results. Down 1.8 lbs. That brings me to a total of 13 lbs in three weeks. I know it's good that my weight is going in the right direction, but it just seems like everyone else I know is losing so much faster than me! I'm 100% OP, and I know that everyone is different. The weight HAS to come off, because there's just no possible way for it not to, right?

I just need a couple of cheer leaders right now. I figure I can count on you all... :D

That sounds really good. Try picking up 13 pounds of flour that would be heavy. I had my 3 week WI today down 1.2 total 10.8 I know we would like faster but try to stay positive. Great job so far! Raa Raa shaking my pom poms for you. Hee hee

Just think- you are 13 lbs lighter than you were three weeks ago!! That's an average of 4.3 lbs a week!! That's excellent!!!! We didn't put this weight on overnight...we got this!!! Keep reading through the posts, you'll see that many people thought that they weren't losing fast enough and now they almost at goal or past it!!! You are doing great!!! Keep on doing what you are, don't give up!!!

I'm only on day 6- so I don't have any tips for you, but I think you are doing excellent!!! :carrot::carrot:

New here! Today is my day one. Feeling good...for now. I've done plans similar to this and I know the first four days are liable to suck, which is why I chose now to start, my husband is on a golf trip for a week ;-)

Only issue I had today was not realizing just how much 8OZ of protein is and four cups of veggies. I had a shake for breakfast, soup and salad for lunch and when I measured my veggies and protein I about croaked! Needless to say, my dinner was huge! I still need two more cups of veggies and it's unlikely up that will happen tonight. Tomorrow I will plan better.

Thank you so much...the headache has been coming and going so I am hoping day 4 will be much better for me. I find I have a hard time making sure I get my food in since I work 3 night shifts so I am constantly having to make sure I eat everything in my 24 hour period...night shift is rough with eating healthy so I am ready for a change!

Annie- wouldn't you be excited if you lost 51 lbs in 3 months?? At this rate you will!!! Now that's fantastic!!! :)

Please remind me of this when I get discouraged!!!!!

IdealProteinNewbie 05-22-2014 08:09 AM

Julz: Not sure if I'm reading incorrectly but P1 is 3 packets (2 non-restricted, 1 restricted) 4 cups of veggies, 8 oz of meat, 2 tsp of oil per day.

Veggies and meat are to be measured raw. It could be the way I was interpreting it but just checking to make sure that's what you're having per day.

Good luck, you can do it!

I am on day 4. Day 2 & 3 I had horrible headaches & dizzy but I woke up feeling better today. My only concern is that I hopped on the scale this morning and I am not down at all. I have been really pushing water because I thought that the headache may be due to dehydration. Have most people experienced a drop in the first few days or does it drop later in the week?

I too am on day 4, and no loss! Be patient! Just follow the plan. Many people have been successful on the diet. We will be too! Don't weigh yourself until ur next weigh in. The pounds will drop! Hang in there!

I've decided that it would be best if I hid my scale. I get obsessed with weighing myself and my weight can fluctuate so much. If I weigh myself everyday I get discouraged if I'm not losing the same amount each day, however, if I only weigh once a week i'll be excited at whatever the loss is. For instance if I weigh myself on Tuesday and i'm down 4 lbs and then I weigh myself again each day and the scale stays the same I get frustrated. Where as if I were to weigh once a week and was down 4 lbs I would think that was a great. Does that make sense?

Kelly, I am in the exact same boat. I weigh myself several times a day and it is NOT HELPFUL! So, wanna make a deal? Let's hide our scales until... um... Monday. And then we'll report back and see if we liked it or if it drove us crazy. Does that sound good? Anyone is welcome to join us, and we'll regroup on Monday. Thoughts? :dancer:

Good luck, you can do it!

My "coach" has it all on a calendar, so I can't screw it up. Yesterday I had a shake packet for breakfast, a soup packet for lunch, 8oz of meat and two cups of veggies for dinner and a snack bar for snack. The veggies were sautéed in oil. I was short two cups of veggies ad I hadn't planned on four cups being ad much as it is. All measurements are taken pre-cooked.

Oh...and a salad, just lettuce, with my soup packet.

Is this not correct?

Julzfatnomore 05-22-2014 05:45 PM

Day two has brought on the sugar withdrawal headache...can't wait for day four to get here!

Day four seems to be the day that things look up for me when I'm doing sugar/carb cleanse. Generally I'd go for a run and build some endorphins to attack the headache but no exercise permitted. Guess I'll nap instead ;)

It is:

1 packet for breakfast
1 packet & 2 cups of veggies for lunch
8 oz protein & 2 cups of veggies for dinner
1 packet as a snack
2 tsp of oil and your salt
All the lettuce you want

The Phase 1 sheet is in the 1st post of the daily chat.

Some people use a bit of their veggies for breakfast (like in the omelet) and break their protein up between lunch and dinner.

Hope that helps!

My coach told me a packet for breakfast, packet with 2 cups veggies and lettuce for lunch, 8oz meat with 2 cups veggies and lettuce for dinner and a packet for a snack. With a "packet" being any IP product as long as I only have restricted item once a day.

Down 5lbs since last Thursday and so happy about it!

Today I was really, really hungry. I felt like I couldn't stop eating - all good, OP but still. This weekend we are doing a crab leg/shrimp boil with the family which I think is kind of perfect timing because it fits right in with IP. I'm going to miss the potatoes, corn, and kielbasa slices though. I'm making some cheesy cauliflower tots to be our "cheddar biscuits" Red Lobster style. ;)

HeatherFeather54 05-22-2014 09:04 PM

Totally hungry today. I have my 2nd weigh in tomorrow. Been drinking a lot of water but not that filling.

Thank you, I needed that reminder! Especially since my parents and daughter are going to be in from out of town and alcohol will be flowing freely!!

My daughter is my cheerleader though, so I know she will help me. We are going to go through recipes tonight and try some new ones.

I WI today, so I know that I will be stoked and WILL not even be tempted to deviate from my path to skinny!! :)

Good luck at WI today!

I've realized that my kids are my cheerleaders too. I didn't even realize it until last night when I made them spaghetti. I got a little bit of sauce on my finger and started to lick it off. They all freaked out, "MOM! You don't want to eat that!!! It's not on your diet!!!" Hilarious, because it was just one drop of tomato sauce. But I love that they're paying attention and determined to keep me OP. So cute!

Good luck to everyone this crazy weekend!

I find myself doing that and I freak out! Lol I made Mexican rice last night and I usually taste test it- not this time- I was like, I hope it tastes ok!!

That's great that our kids cheer us on! My daughter is a health nut, she is very into nutrition and exercise and so proud of me for taking this step. She is at grad school in Alabama and calls me every day to see how I'm doing, cheer me on etc... She'll be here today and is staying until Monday, she's excited to try some recipies with me.

arich 05-23-2014 02:42 PM

I would just like to say that I forgot my lunch today and just about had a melt down. I ended up going to panda which is the only thing close enough to get it done in time I had to spend. The plan was to have steamed veggies and string bean chicken and just think of the sauce on the chicken as a bump along the road. well I get there and they don't have any steamed veggies. [cue horror music]. I waited for them to steam some fresh. Even with the Off Plan sauce on the string bean chicken, I am basically throwing myself a NSV parade for persisting even when I really just wanted to say ___ it! I just started Monday so I am still in a place where (even though I feel phyiscally fine) I would punch you in the throat for a cookie.

I've decided to be the designated driver so I have two reasons not to drink while we are out.
