Hello all! Re-starting IP as of yesterday!

Lost 30 lbs about a year ago, then went crazy and gained some back, so back on the program. Last time, my husband joined me and lost 135lbs, now I am taking my mom on the journey. I know it works, so I am super excited.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXyX...51426B64690814

Also, Cappella Flavors (you can order online) has no sugar, non-sweetened flavor drops that are awesome! I have used them for years to flavor my water & coffee. Tons of flavors. I like Cherry Cola (tastes like carbonation, but not), Cake Batter, Peanut Butter, Creamcicle...

As for the soups, just pack them with vegetables & spices.

Have a good week!

Thanks for the tips momotrips3.... I had the mint CHOC bar today and it was soooo good for a high protein product. Very creamy and the flavor was great. I could have been eating real candy!

@ Glitterslayer...awesome name by the way! So I usually get an iced soy latte from Starbucks no added sweetener. Today I did the shot over ice then added my Pre made vanilla drink... Honestly I missed the flavor of my reg drink but I think I can get used to the new flavor.

Momotrips thank you for the tip on the Capella Drops I just went crazy and bought so many. :dizzy: Looking forward to trying different concoctions. I like to try different thing so I don't get bored. :)

You're welcome! I love them and they work for so many things. I have a ton of them, too. They're really good. If you want to, you can use the cola or root beer or other soda flavor, put a couple of drops of stevia and voila, your water tastes like diet soda - without the verboten carbonation!

I am looking forward to flavoring the vanilla shakes and even the water. ;) Thanks again.

Day 3 for me. Was starving the first day but not bad yesterday. Sticking to my plan and can tell I am finally getting in the zone. Whenever I start low carb I have a day or two where I have to pee every 20 minutes and I know it's all the water weight dropping off. Holding off until Friday to weigh myself. All my clothes are still super tight, and I refuse to buy bigger sizes!!

Hi everyone! Been doing really well. Lost i think 5 maybe 6 lbs again this week. I ll know tom. At my weigh in. I have been feeling so energetic and I go go go all day long. I had one temptation this past week and that was to have a small piece of sharp cheddar cheese.! I resisted and didn t even try it.
When I feel a desire to eat and it isn t time I ll have a big glass of cold water or an herbal tea. We are all doing great keep up the good work!!!

Welcome! I've not hated IP so far, kind of enjoy it, truth be told. I had a great weightloss week one, so am optimistic! Whether starting again or for the first time, stick around here and we'll do it together.

I'm worried about my weigh-in tomorrow. I lost 10 the first week, but seem to be bouncing around 0-2 this week. I don't want it to be ZERO! I am 100% OP, except for a couple of times that I just CAN'T eat. Sometimes the meat is just too much. I should just stick with lean ham - I can always manage to eat that.:ink:

I've been doing really good lately but for some reason today I'm super hungry a lot earlier than normal. I'm on Day #15. I have my WI later today, but according to my scale at home I'm down 10 lbs.
Hungry as anything though!!! Should I just eat lunch early?

Becca Boo 05-15-2014 11:22 AM

I have been going on IP during the week, only to go off on the weekends and gain back what I've lost! I have made up my mind that I am doing it this time and not going off! I started this morning with some IP oatmeal and I feel great. Going to get some veggies and salad during my lunch hour, and planning Big Mac Salad for dinner. My daughter loves it also. Going to use this forum to post and draw strength. It could make the difference! Thanks to all who offer support!!

Day 5 and in the hospital

Yesterday at work i started to feel the worst back pain heart burn and pains in my stomach.. i went to the ER after work it was that bad. So I have a abscess infection in my small intestine that luckily they wont have to do surgery which on sicker less healthy people they would. So they will be pumping me with antibiotics to treat it... They are going to keep me a couple days to treat and monitor. :/ no food or water everything will be though IV blahhhh... Luckily they do not connect it to my new ideal protein diet. Down side is I may miss my 1st weigh in on Saturday . On my scale at home yesterday I was down 4 so at least I WAS on the right path..

Hope everyone has a great weekend. My challenge for the weekend is going to a baseball game today and tomorrow. Not so much the food at the ballpark but having a cold beer. Oh well, I'll just have lots of ice water. Luckily we can take food and drinks with us, so I can bring lots of water, IP product and zucchini chips for a meal while there. I can do this! Go Rangers (even though they are playing terrible right now).

HeatherFeather54 05-17-2014 11:49 AM

Anyone else have dry skin and lips? I drink 75 oz + in water a day but cant keep my skin and lips hydrated

Weigh-in today. Another 3.8 pounds gone forever! :woohoo:

Ok that's enough!! Lol

I definitely feel better than I have in a long time!! Less sluggish, not bloated, etc... I always knew food affected me negatively, I just couldn't stop eating!!

Hi everyone! I started IP on May 1 and while I've been perusing these boards for a while, this is my first post! Woohoo! I go in for my third WI tomorrow. My scale broke earlier this week, so I really have no idea where I stand. I'm 100% OP. My overall weight loss at WI 2 last week was 11 lbs. Unfortunately, a lot of it was muscle and not fat... That's okay! I'm still convinced that this is the right plan for me, and I'm hoping for great things tomorrow! Good luck to all of you! We can do this!

Great losses so far! Just remember that the machine your coach is using to measure what you have lost isn't really measuring muscle. It's measuring lean body mass vs. fat. Lean body mass includes skin, water, organs, connective tissue, etc., etc. - basically everything that is not fat. So, especially when you first start and have the big losses, you probably had a large water weight loss. Depending on when you use the machine, your hydration levels, etc. you could see wildly different results. Those machines are not, in my experience and opinion, terribly accurate for measuring muscle v. fat.

That said, they can point to trends so can be useful. Just remember to just take it as another interesting bit of data and go by how your clothes fit, how you feel, etc., etc. rather than putting a bunch of faith in the machine.

Hello Ladies! I started IP on monday! I am looking forward to the weight coming off. I am definitely ready for this headache to be gone!! I am looking forward to this journey with everyone!:carrot:

I started 3 weeks ago but am a reluctant poster. I have been lurking just reading posts. I have dropped 16.5 pounds in that 3 weeks and for the first time in my life don't want to eat all the time. it is a real novelty for me and I am not sure how to deal with it. I even laughed at my coach when he told me that I would likely not be hungry... I even said, I don't eat because I am hungry silly! I am an emotional eater. But whatever stimulation that I used to get from the carbs to my brain has stopped working in the same way and I LOVE it. I feel like I am free from this albatross that has drug me down for most of my life. I am not sure if this is a short term feeling or not. I hope not! It has been over 2 weeks like that. I feel like my life doesn't revolve around food. I have been planning my meals and being proactive so I will stay OP, but not like I am constantly thinking about what I am going to eat next. I wonder how much of my life I have wasted doing that? I have not set a definitive goal for myself. I think that is my next step

This only my 6th day OP but I feel the same way. It's wonderful! I actually forgot to eat my lunch today! Normally if I bring my lunch to work I am digging into it by 10am! Food has always controlled my life, I was out of control. It feels good to be in control. I'm like you, I hope this feeling stays with me. Of course I know that some days are going to be difficult, but it's not ALL CONSUMING that's the wonderful part.
