I think most of us prepared over the weekend as best as we could. None of us want another Katrina of course and since its almost on the anniversary of her hitting the anixety levels are really really high and people are starting to freak out. I am as prepared as I need to be, we are expecting 20 inches of water and we are going to be on the worse side of it for winds and rain. All we can do is prepare and sit it out, things like this are out of our control so for me I am not stressing it. I have my book to read along with my batteries, candles, water and food. My son will be with me so together we will make it through this....stay safe to everyone in the path...Remember even though we may never cross paths in person, you are still part of an extended family online....lots of thoughts and prayers coming our way!!
I had a MAJOR whoosh this morning! I think that the scale is malfunctioning in the Dr's office! How can I possibly lose 4.4 pounds in 5 days?!!! I am shocked and very happy as I have now lost 53 pounds on Ideal Protein. AMAZING program and I have never felt this great.

I am not sure how many changes can be accomodated to the courses I plan to eat, so I'm not going to sweat if there are some carrot shavings on my salad, etc. But the eggroll, potatoes, and dessert are definitely not on my menu. http://delfriscos.com/menupdfs/Dalla...-Menu-2012.pdf
Well - I did end up taking off my salad carrot shavings after all! And the vegetable side turned out to be glazed carrots, no substitutions - so I ended up with a salad and an amazing 8oz filet! The eggroll & cheesecake went to my husband, and the potatoes and carrots got bagged up for leftovers. When I got home I made myself a big bowl of ice cream with Rhubarb and an EAS Strawberry RTD....OMG - why did I wait so long to break out that bad boy ice cream machine!
well....thankfully.....that 1.7 post of a gain (my first gain) from last week managed to get the boot...
and has now left for good along with 1.6 more....
for a total of 3.3 pounds gone this past week!!
BRING ON ANOTHER WEEK!!!!

HI Peeps! I love the positivity and 100% mindset of this forum, it's exactly what I need! Now that I've been 100% for almost 2 weeks, I feel worthy of posting.
My prayers for the safety of everyone in the path of Isaac. Hope that bad boy loses momentum along the way.

Glad you enjoyed your meal, and had a fabulous dessert too. That's another recipe I have to try!

That's the way to kick IP butt!! Congrats on the WI, great job Rainbow, btw I tried making the zuccini chips over the weekend and don't know what went wrong, some dried out and were kinda crispy and some were still a little on the soggy side.... the ones that were kinda crispy were kinda good though
Thank you for all the well wishes/thoughts/prayers in advance of Isaac, I know that all of us in the affected areas feel the love coming from you all

since making them more and more....i have learned the following:
1. use a mandolin to slice evenly
2. bake at 175 degrees....use parchment paper...do not spray the paper with oil!
3. do not overlap chips
4. use your salt...this helps draw out the moisture
5. spray lightly with evoo
6. bake for about 1 hour and 30 mins BEFORE TURNING THEM OVER
i noticed that moisture was gathering on the tops...and when i turned them over, the moisture then became trapped underneath...and when reheated, the moisture rose to the top...making the zucchini chips more moist taking longer to cook!!!
7. finish baking on the other side, turning only once. i was trying to turn them every 30 mins thinking it would expedite the process, only it just took longer!!
8. hope that makes sense!! TRY AGAIN!!!!
So, this is only day 12 for me...but I have been 100% OP, and plan to stay that way. Have a question though, has anyone felt weepy at all on this program? I'm still in the early part, but yesterday was just awful for me, I felt very sad and weepy for most of the day...for no apparent reason! This is extremely out of character for me.
