For me, maintaining works the best if I pretty much stick to P3 during the week and then loosen up on the weekend. I still focus more than I should on the scale by weighing in daily, but am so very afraid of gaining. I seriously hope that at some point I can relax a little and not feel so obsessive about what I eat.

I found the Fatsecret website to be a little confusing with the challenge. I think I have maybe been posting too often and I have a hard time telling if it has recorded the info I put in. Maybe I need to browse it a little more to get familiar!

Well I applied to the National Weight Registry and heard nothing from them. Finally I got an apology call and was told the packet is in the mail. It will arrive just when I reach my one year goal next month. I am excited.

Cap: the first month of school is crazy with many changes. Then things settle down. I am just implementing new programs with larger classes. Thanks for your support.

Cap-the winter wedding sounded great! My sister got married one November in Calgary. The snow made for beautiful pictures!

I forget-where in Alberta are you? I am in fort mcmurray. The days are definitely getting shorter here. Time for fall clothes!

I am still in phase 3...

DH and I are going to STOMP tonight, and out to dinner with friends. I am nervous because we are going to a Mexican restaurant.

HELP! I need suggestions for an OP dinner!

YOu might be okay to have the full fajitas...you are probably out of ketosis if you have been in phase 3 for a few days.....just have a really low calorie day tomorrow....

Anyone else want to chime in....I am just doing what I would have done....it is so weird...because once you get past the weight loss phase it is about common sense and the rest of your life.

Have fun

Do you know the restaurant? Is the menu online? Like momto2cs said - Beef or Chicken fajitas without beans, rice, cheese, tortillas, another common menu item is Carne Asada ('Grilled Meat' in Spanish) or Carne Seca ('Dried Beef') - honestly I wouldn't stress too much about tomatoes or any 'marinade ingredients' at this point in Phase 3 since you aren't in ketosis anymore and that would be a negligible amount - plus most 'true' fajita marinades shouldn't contain sugar since it's a spicy vs. a sweet (as opposed to some Asian sauces). Some places have Grilled Chicken options - just avoid the big no-no's in Phase 3 (tortillas, cheese, rice, beans).

Most places will accomodate and give you a side salad or grilled peppers in lieu of rice & beans. You can ask for lettuce leaves in lieu of tortillas too. I go back to my favorite Tex-Mex place in San Antonio all the time, and in Phase 1 & 2 they were always accomodating to my requests for Carne Asada and Grilled Bell Peppers (vs. rice & beans) and Lettuce Leaves (vs. tortillas).

Now I want Mexican! That was my last blowout before I started IP! Great suggestions on substitutions. Thank you!

lizz so what lettuce do you use for your tortillas? I've used many different types in my quest and perhaps I'm just not selecting the right 'leaf'. I always make a mess, maybe I'm doing nothing wrong though and part of the adventure is the mess? lol

cap we're having a June wedding, I let him pick the date...I am much more relaxed this week and I'm not sure if it's cause I got a venue and a church to agree on the date he picked OR if it's because I'm feeling better. Probably a combination of both.

I think I screwed up the challenge on my end as I can't update the first week and used what happened this past week as this week...kind of a vicious cycle of "ARG!" - sorry - not good with fat secret!

It's already getting cold here..ugh..last winter was a warm winter and I'm so not looking forward to this winter, especially if we get the 'usual' winter weather.

Hoping to get a run in on Sunday, ok scratch that...I'm getting a run in on Sunday (please note that and ask me how it was??)

I find iceberg or butter lettuce work best! But sometimes it does just turn into a salad!

I had homemade fajita chicken for lunch! When we go to Mexican restaurants, I always order fajitas w/o the setup and get a side of grilled veggies. It never occurred to me to ask for lettuce leaves!

I have been feeling really ill the past couple days. Very upset stomach and kind of out of it. Still want food though so it's kind of the worst of all worlds . My knee is really bothering me and I think that's pretty much directly attributable to yesterday's spin class. Think I'm going to stick to step. Last thing I need is another injury.
Sorry to hear that the fat secret site is so difficult to navigate initially. It does get easier when you get used to it if that provides any comfort...
Went to Lulu today. While my size 4's fit they don't look as they should at the moment so bought a size 6 top in burgundy (that I looovvvve) I'm definitely a winter skin tone so appreciate the jewel tones that are coming out this season and black bottoms.
Mom2cs- I live by Edmonton just outside Stony Plain on an acreage. Fall is definitely here. Leaves are falling, days are getting shorter. And the gym is hopping as everyone moves inside.
Maile- It is fitting that your package will arrive just as you are entering your second year of maintenance. You have done a wonderful job and they are lucky to have you in their numbers. All this talk of mexican reminds me of when you passed along your recipe for pico de gallo- it was my first time and soooo good!!
Ishbel- once the venue & church are booked it's way less stressful and way more fun! Do you partake in any winter sports? I'm a terrible skater but always loved snowboarding... just a lot harder to get out now that I have an extra three appendages... have to wait until they're big enough to come along...

I had a whole wheat wrap with chicken & veggies tonight. The wrap was my whole grain option for the day. I've been trying to stay away from breads/ wraps for my carb option and having oatmeal or oat bran instead. Just feel like I do better without extra gluten in the diet...
