I like the red wine comment...I drink wine on thurs fri sat usually. I don't think it impacts my weight much. Just watch what you eat with it!

I am the opposite...sometimes I don't cheat with food at all, but the alcohol shoots the scale up 3-5 pounds for 2-3 days....I have edema (spelling?)....so I get swelling quite easy....I try to drink around 100 ounces of water every day to minimize the issue.

With that said if it was just a glass or two....I probably would be okay. This weekend no alcohol at all....I am going to try for a no cheat day, but maybe one little treat each day...baby creamie or slice of pizza but still keep the daily carb/calories low.

I'm on day 5 of my re-boot and I hopped on the scale this morning and I am already down 7 lbs! woot woot!

It just goes to show that I was definitely eating way too much salt and carbs.

My period is dragging on and on though which sucks. :/

I used to swell terribly. I must have some circulatory issues, and of course I had severe preeclampsia eith both my pregnancies.

I find sticking to the low carb has resolved most of this. I still suffered on the plane, but I also was eating differently. This alone helps me stick to low carb choices!

Being good is so hard. I am off to golf with our usual crew. I anticipate my good intentions of not drinking will be forgotten once I get there!

Good luck darbs!

Just a thought that all protein diets are now highly recommended for diabteics. I have been a diebetic on insulin for over 30 years and have recently descovered a wonder pill that loses fat fast and the best part is that it is completely natural. It certainly helped me. I have a blog with more details although my blog is mostly about saving the planet there is a link on raspberries if you are inttersted? http://forestnome.blogspot.com/

What does that mean for you? Less weighing? More wine? cheesecake? No weighing and just go by clothing sizes? Good luck and good for you.

I am going to try on a pair of pants that I have with NO GIVE TO THEM....every Friday to gauge how I am doing and to be accountable. My poor husband dealing with my emotional roller coaster due to the flucuations on the scale. There is a hypmotist locally who helps people lose weight, but they have to agree to never step on the scale again...tons of people at work are doing it and they look awesome (they don't know what they lost, but they look great).

I have to learn to be accountable without a number justifing it for me....I know when I am being good and bad....I have to learn control. I am very nervous, but I am going to try it. I am going to go for a month to start and see how I do. I am so nervous to let that control go, but this is more for my mental well-being.....there is so much more to me than that number on the scale.
