Today is the day. No more excuses and back on program. Hope no one gets tired of my posts since I feel I have to keep myself accountable to someone. I had to laugh to myself. Does anyone ever pick a Friday to start a diet plan? It's always a Monday for me. I've planned this restart for over a week now.

Today is also the day that the garbage is picked up so an excellent day to clean out the kitchen cabinets and rid my house of junk foods. That goes for the peppermint patties that are stored in the garage as well. It is all going.

Good luck I know how it is, I'm trying to get back OP for a month and finally always cheated. But today will be THE day. I've plan a cheat for wednesday (The last one before I lose my 8 pound gained back) for a wine & cheese show, planned since 2 months, but it will be the last cheat. I ordered bars and stuff from Diet Direct and I enjoy the taste of those bars!! God, totally different taste from the IP bars and the IP cost twice than the D.D. bars!

And I did the same as you yesterday; clean-up of my kitchen and asked my BF to hide the Tostitos bags and chocolate where I couln't find them if I were trying to. So, I hope to have good results!

.
Today is the day for me toooo! I had lost 56 pounds and gained back 20. It is time to end the madness right! I think what upsets me the most is feeling out of control over not being able to say "NO". I am going to gain back that control. I am tired of feeing fat and gross and lazy. Taking it one minute at a time if needed. WE CAN DO THIS!

Yesterday was Day 1 for me, after a meeting Saturday where there were all sorts of goodies that I gave in & consumed too many of (I'll spare you the details).. looking at my calendar, I'm out of excuses 'til at least Thanksgiving, so it's time to suck it up, as Darbs said, & get serious... I want to lose at least 20 more lbs. & with 8 more weeks 'til T-giving, I just might make it... or at least get pretty close... somebody got a kick in the seat of the pants for me???..

hugs

Does that count for 2 off center kicks? From those of us out here laboring in the vineyard.

Hey Mickey -

I hear ya! I began this diet with a strong distaste for salads & veggies. Then, I read a post awhile ago something to the effect of, "Just put your big girl panties on and do it!" Did I want it badly enough to put one foot in front of the other and "suck it up?" The answer was, yes! And I just started Phase 3 a couple days ago -- 42 lbs lighter than I was on 5/11/11.

Along the way, I've come up with some small things to make my salads more palatable -- WF 1000 Island mixed with WF Zesty Italian & my own oil/vinegar dressing; I discovered I like zucchini better raw than cooked; some sweet, diced onion helps; I add fresh salsa (no sugar) sometimes. Roasting some veggies is a great way to fix them: asparagus, broccoli, peppers. I hope this helps. There are other diets that are not so heavy on the vegetables, but I've tried many and this one WORKS! Good luck to you.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm sipping hot tea while watching tv fighting off the urge to eat something off plan. Planning on a hot relaxing bath and then a good book to relax with and head to bed early. Over the years I have never figured out how to sleep and eat at the same time thank goodness!

This is the most difficult time of night for me. I still have an IP snack left. I will go to bed early but sometimes I wake up and still want to eat! It's embarrassing. Last night I was good. I've just got to do it tonight. Good luck everyone. I think I'll go watch Dancing With The Stars - perhaps they will inspire me to be thin.

Make sure you don't take any Ambien then! One of the side effects is SLEEP EATING! People eat and eat and eat and don't remember it the next day. It is crazy stuff. Good luck to you all! I had a few weeks that I went off plan, after my graduation from college and my move back home but now I am back on and going strong. I feel so much better, too! You guys can do it!

Being in the real world surrounded by goodies is hard sometimes. I had a pretty stressful day today. I really wanted to reward myself with a treat as I would have in the past. I'm hanging in there. Here's your kick *. Good luck!

Congratulations on graduating from college! and your great weight loss. Enjoy them both - in an "on plan" way!
