Melissa - love love LOVE the haircut!

Carla - I agree with the others who said they didn't recognize you. You look amazing!

So I'm giving blood today at 2. I REALLY hope they don't make me eat or drink anything crazy (ok, I should really say CARBY) afterwards cuz my weigh in is not until 4:30.

I'm new here! I've enjoyed reading through the posts, what a great community.
I'm only in the start of week 2, but I'm SO HUNGRY much of the time. I don't have cravings, I'm just hungry! I did get some extra snacks in week 1 and had only one of them, lost 5 pounds in week one. I'm too afraid to add extra calories but I don't know if I can stand the hunger! I'm following everyting to a tee. When does the hunger go away?

Also...I decided to ride my bike yesterday evening. I didn't ride too fast, but had to go up a hill, and afterward I got a terrible headache. It was in the top of my head, like my brain was hurting. I also just did not feel well. I don't know if I like this feeling! The headache did not last, thankfully.

Does anyone know if we can have a product called True Lemon Lemonade? It has zero sugar and less than 1g of carbs, but after I had it, I had a terrible headache again.

I hope I can stick with this! I'll keep reading your posts for encouragement so thanks everyone!
Some people take a couple of weeks before they start feeling better. I think Erin already said you shouldn't exercise at least for the first 3 weeks. I checked out True Lemon online, and it actually does have some sugar (evaporated cane juice) as well as generic Stevia. That said it has 5 calories per serving and less than a gram of carb. Also the citric acid in it can cause problems in some people. I would stick to plain water. Have you tried using half a teaspoon of sea salt in some water for the headaches? Should help within about 15 minutes.

Love the new pics! You're looking fantastic. Wish I were computer savvy. I need to buy a camera.

Today is day 4 for me too. I woke up and wasn't so hungry I was wanting to eat off my arm...I'm taking that as a good sign. I've heard the first 4-5 days are the hardest and I have my fingers crossed this is true. I think this forum is going to be good to help encourage us and keep us on track.

I'm glad to see there are others from BC. I'm in Williams Lake. My grandma lives in Langley, so I have been to Cloverdale many times.

Yes it does get easier,
when I first started IP, someone posted that by week 3 it gets so much easier- and she was right! I had 2 weeks of on and off bad headaches.. extra salted water and advil helped, and I had the 5 packets allowed the first week.. I needed it!!!!

Someone else mentioned to cut up a bar and to take small pieces thru out the day if needed.. I did that too but kept it in the freezer cut up in a baggy..yum! tasted like a candy bar that took time to melt in your mouth not swallow whole...

These gals have so much wisdom and experience with this IP Program, we all benefit from!! ( group hug)

Well, had my WI this morning. Didn't lose an ounce....or an inch.

I cried the entire way home from the clinic. It seems as though my body has had enough of this. I didn't cheat at all this week but have been extremely stressed with wedding planning. (Like stressed to the point of crying at the drop of a hat).

I guess my "poster child 3lbs-a-week" streak had to end sometime.

As an average, it's still good.

Do you know why I gained most of my weight and couldn't lose it? STRESS. That is exactly what is happening to you. It isn't you doing anything wrong, it is your body in turmoil from STRESS. I was eating healthy, exercising, and completely mental from work and home stress.

*hugggs*

I'm soo sorry you had a bad WI. Do you have any "me" time you can schedule? A walk ALONE, some time to read a good book in the bathtub? Are you getting enough sleep? Can you take 10 minutes when you get up to mediate or pray (I don't know if you are religious).

The GOOD news is you didn't gain. This means that if you can find a bit more balance, you might break that 3lb cycle next week! You are doing SO well, so don't give up even if you are tempted.

Oh honey- don't be upset.. when you are stressed your body produces cortisol ( my endocrinologist told me this) and your body HOLDS on to everything.. IT WILL PASS... hang in there...you are beautiful, kind, loving, and do not need to beat yourself up over this "minor thing"..
Focus on your wedding not the weight loss right now, but continue not to cheat.. you'll have a good drop in weight soon!! I PROMISE!!

sending you my guardian angel to comfort you.
hugs, ~Ro~

Just weighed in...made it to the 180's today. I am doing the happy dance.
I am so glad to be under "50 more to go". I never thought I would get to ONEDERLAND, much less be in the 180's. God Bless IP and this forum!

Here's to a great day to everyone!

Look at my numbers almost Mrs. T.-- First 6 wks I had those 333s for four weeks just like you. Then the next 6 wks I lost a total of 7 LBS. thank goodness I just kept going. I wasn't cheating and I was completely frustrated and confused. For ALL other diets I would have given up. BUT look what happened in the next 12 weeks-- 25 lbs lost. SO, you need to find the courage to just soldier on... you have a BIG day coming and I promise if you just keep going one day at a time, you will have the results you are dreaming of! AND we are all different so it's likely that you won't have the long long 6 weeks I had. My personal theory?? Your body needs time to adjust to all the changes. At 6 weeks or so, it realizes you are serious and that no carbs are coming any time soon. Change is hard and takes time. But it will be so worth it! Keep smiling AND definitely find something to laugh about. My fiance kept me laughing about my crazy family. The maid of honor nearly drove me insane-(my older sister). But there's always some humor in the worst of situations...

I am not even about to get caught up on everything. A week and a half ago I almost quit IP thinking I could do something like Atkins That was a bad idea. It ended up being four days of cheating. It was bad. I was back in that office four days later confessing my cheats to my coach. She was so understanding. I gained four pounds I guess it could have been worse. Funny thing is this last week I had my biggest loss yet. I lost 9 lbs so maybe it shook things up a bit and I will see some good scale numbers......maybe

It is good to be back. I missed you all
I seem to agree with you. I took a week off after 5 weeks on IP for vacation. It took me a week to net back to where I was before vaccation. The last two weeks have been good losses for me though. Somehow I think it does shake things up a bit. If you have the patience to get a week or two behind, it might be worth trying. I think it definitely is good to have a break every now and then. Just my opinion... nothing scientific.

soon2be

don't cry and don't stress, i hit a plateau at 6 weeks where i didn't lose for 2 weeks. it was very frustrating but i ended up having a 4 lb loss after that. your average is what you whould focus on and remember, the smaller you get-the less likely it is that you'll lose 3+ lbs a week. i truly believe those posters boasting 3-4 lb losses weekly are for people in the 200-300's. the littler you are, the less to lose and you look FABULOUS by the way, keep on trucking. you'll make it through this!
