I did however have an nsv today. I bought a pair of jean shorts that were a size 16. I haven't wore a size 16 in 15 years! I was pretty stoked!
So sorry to hear about your situation. Stay strong, he's probably just threatened by how hot you are. So hard to stay focused when there is emotional turmoil. You are a ROCK STAR and I'm sending all my positive kharma to you and your kids.

Cheers to a successful Day 2 for me! Hope everyone else had a great day too!
OK, whoa don't panic! This is just what I was told to do when my weight loss slowed to a crawl. You do what's best for you. You might be able to eat those veggis all the time, who knows? It's trial and error ladies, just do your best!

Ok, to those who have been at it longer than me and are familiar with Lindora stuff... QUESTION!

I am looking through the Lindora products and a few get my attention and looked mostly at the carbs and not the rest but here is my list of what I would give a try to.

Cheesecake
Vanilla Custar with toffeecrisps
Straberry smoothy
Berry Cream smoothy
Dulce de Leche
Chicken Noodle soup
Hot Cocoa
Chicken Bouillon Soup

So here is the question... Considering that I am trying to go all "commando" or "bootcamp" on this now.... I think Cheesecake and Dulce de leche would be the "green" items, as in Only once per day IF that.

Now, what else do I need to be looking at? I've read here about the aspartame and what not but not sure I get that. Based on my list, can you tell me what I should NOT eat?

Also, have you tried these? and if so, did you like them?

THANK YOU!

Okay - it's been a busy week. I'm sorry I haven't been able to chat more. Even now, I'm really running behind, but I had to say a few things! 1 - libby looks great 2 - Jordanna that's great, and Happy B Day to Hudson, tonight I am celebrating my daughter's 21st b'day which begins as midnight! 3 - fluffy, just take it one day at a time, you'll be better off in the long run, be strong for the boys. 5 - CW time will fly by and he'll here so fast, savor every moment when he arrives, we'll miss you, but we know you'll be in your glory! 6 - Welcome newbies, and ghost newbies (those of you watching and reading, but haven't joined just yet)! and last but not least - I was a little disappointed that WI showed 200.75, I was like REALLY, REALLY, You're kidding me right, okay, whatever, Onederland can wait! Besides I have another week to make the 22 lb mark - which was created for me to be in onderland, so I just got excited that it might come a week early (but TOM came on Wednesday instead). SO... I'm off to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Have a great night all.

Friend let me try her WF products and the ASIAN dressing as well as the HONEY MUSTARD are the best when mixed with the 1 teaspoon of oil she is allowed. She adds salt, pepper, celery seasoning, onion seasoning, etc to it, shakes it all up, and it tastes like regular salad dressing b/c she adds her daily ration of oil to it. She said she is not supposed to heat the UDO 3-6-9 oil. I tried all her marshmallow, chocolate dips, etc and the only one that I thought tasted okay was the peanut spread. Also, she said she is supposed to consume all IP foods w/in 20 minutes of preparing them b/c otherwise the nutrients break down--also that the hot water used in some foods should not be boiling b/c it will destroy the proteins in the IP foods. I guess it can be hot but not bubbly boiling. She drinks at least a gallon of water a day b/c she lives in the dry desert, is on the go, and drinks coffee and tea (caffeine is a diuretic) so she always feels thirsty.

oh goodness, note to self, always use hot water for the raspberry jelly...i used cold in a shaker(silly newbie) and threw it in the freezer for 20 minutes just foaming at the mouth for that familiar jello taste/texture...only to open it up and see that it's still liquid.

i just chugged it out of the bowl and most certainly did not enjoy the lumps of "protein" at the bottom.

so glad i can share this here or else i'd be really disappointed

two questions:

can we subsitute perrier or pellegrino as part of our daily water?(i'm a red bull and vodka fan and am missing the bubbles this friday night)

how do i substitute egg whites only for the 2 eggs allowed as a dinner protein? I love boiled egg whites and egg white omelets but just cannot stomach the yolks.

Thanks Carla = what a difference a day makes. Busy all day. Made the chocolate chip cookies this morning and wasn't the least bit tempted to try one or even lick my fingers. Wasn't nearly as hungry all day as I had been yesterday. Who knows what makes that hunger thing come and go... just so happy I was able to resist.
I appreciate the encouragement so thanks again!

You'll get the jello right next time!! It's delicious. Sometimes I add some diet gingerale to it (sweetened with splenda) it makes more jello and gives it a bit of pep!

There was a discussion a while back about pellegrino water and that people use it on program and it hasn't effected their weight loss.

I don't think you can sub out egg whites instead of using whole eggs because most of the protein is in the yolk and getting that protein in is essential for your meal....so unless you were to add meat to your omelet it wouldn't be wise to cut out the protein source in the egg. (in my opinion!)

for some reason i thought the yolks had all of the fat and cholesterol and protein was in the yolks, i'd kill for a boiled egg white right about now.

i will definitely make sure to do the jello correctly next time(and also read all packet instructions before making them!)

jordanna-congrats on the 50+lbs weight loss in only 3 months!! you should be extremely proud of yourself, i'm so excited to be on this journey and get back to my high school weight in the 150's. two kiddos and a marriage really added the lbs on unfortunately

i have found such great inspiration on here, thanks to all of you for your input

4 egg whites (each has 4 grams of protein) will give you 16 grams of protein w/o sugar, cholesterol, fat, carbs. Each yolk has 3 grams of protein but about 5 grams of fat, 212 grams of cholesterol, and 1 carb. I believe the yolk contains some omega 3 fatty acids which are good but I think 4 egg whites or 3 egg whites and 1 yolk are good substitutes for the protein packs or for a protein at dinner. Also, 3 oz of canned tuna in water will give you about the same amount of protein as an IP protein pack. I think the IP foods taste good b/c they have no nutrients / vitamins added---that's why it's so important to be taking the vitamins. The EAS AdvantEDGE RTD shakes have added nutirents / vitamins so they are not as tasty. Visit nutritiondata.com/facts I didn't realize that the whites actually had more protein and none of the "bad stuff." No wonder the athletes and celebrities are always ordering egg white omelettes.

thanks chimpchamp - that's good to know about the eggs. according to my coach she said it's important to eat the yolks because they have good cholesterol in them and essential fatty acids plus the added protein...but it's good to know that the whites contain proteins also

A large egg contains about 6.5 grams of protein, with the whites having 3.6 of those grams, so I would have 4 whites instead of 2 whole eggs. That would equal about 14 1/2 grams of protein with no fat, versus 13 grams of protein in 2 whole eggs, including 10 fat grams.

I am new to IP and so far I really like it. I am so glad that I found this site. All of you are so inspiring and caring. I have been on IP for almost 2 weeks now and at weight in on Tuesday I lost 8.6lbs and 7 1/2 inches. There is one huge thing that I can't believe has happened to me since I started IP. I have suffered from headaches and migraines for about 23 years. I have been to several doctors and specialist and have had many test and tried lots of different meds. Nothing worked. I am so excited to say that I have been headache free for 6 day now!! I feel awesome!! That has made going on IP even more enjoyable. Not only am I loosing weight, I am PAIN FREE!!

Welcome. I also had a friend that used to get migraines. We found that chocolate was a trigger food for her migraines and she quit eating chocolate. She would still get a few migraines prior to this diet. While on the diet she has not had 1 migraine.

It will be very important for you when you start adding other food back in the maintenance phase to make sure you keep your journal up. It is probaby some food or additive like fructose triggering those migraines. I am happy for you that you are migraine free.
