Gone with the Wind (You know who's in this picture)

Good morning
I couldn't think of 3 favorites but 2 came to me immediately.
1. Seven brides for seven brothers
2. The sound of music
I know, I know, but my mother-in-law has a thing for old musicals and I used to watch them with her all the time, realized that I loved them too! I also liked Grease & Dirty Dancing. Too many movies now have so much violence and blood and scary things for my taste. I am a total woos. Give me an old musical or a romantic comedy any day.
Well, I guess we all made it through 9-11, thank the lord almighty. We had a little scare here, an American Airlines flight that took off from Houston Intercontinental was turned around and escorted by 2 F16's back to the ground. There were 2 suspicious passengers that they thought had a weapon and the Federal Air Marshall's were on board. It turned out to be nothing, the 'weapon' turned out to be a comb (unbelievable) and the other guy just wouldn't stay in his seat. I was extremely upset and nervous while this was all going on. What a relieve when they finally determined it was not something serious.
So Anyways..........gotta go check on a flight for my oldest daughter who is in Hawaii right now. She works for an airline and has to fly stand-by so I will have to check the availability of the flight for a few days.
I am ready for the weekend, we are supposed to have nice weather and hopefully I can get out and about.

Tiger, tell me more, tell me more, was it love at first sight....?? Actually, will it be love at first sight if I try painting my walls with some new technique. What's that about paint covered with glaze? Do you know of any websites on that sort of thing? Tell me more, tell me more....
Oh great. Now I'll be singing....
Nurse, I liked The Green Mile too! Actually, I like most everything Tom Hanks has done. Forest Gump. Sleepless in Seattle. And I loved Castaway. Maybe that's because I read about what Tom Hanks went through to film it. Had to gain 50 lbs. to film the first half. Then they took a year off so he could lose the weight (he lost like 60 or so) and then filmed the second half of the film. Hm, I want to make a film so I can lose 60 lbs in a year!!!
Semo, I'd forgotten about Christmas Story too! What a riot! Have to watch it every Christmas.
OMG, I just realized it's almost mid-September already! Hm, do you think we should all start thinking about what we're going to be wearing for the big Christmas celebration? Seeing people we haven't seen in a while? What new outfit that's been calling to us from the store window do we want to fit into? How thin will we be by then....???
I've been checking. I've gotten the flight to Vegas around Christmas down to about $250 and I think Bally's has rooms for $49 a night. We'll only have to take the 23rd as a vacation day. Rich wants to fly back on Christmas day so he can be back at work on the 26th. Still..... Scheming, scheming, scheming....
Need some tea. Talk to you later!

Hello. I can't believe it's Thursday and I haven't been on the scale since Monday. Maybe because I was satisfied with Monday's weigh-in.
Wearing for Christmas? Ugh! I have a more trying event to get through before then. DH's company participates in a big RV show the weekend of Thanksgiving. It's in Louisville. I'm going with. People from his work, I have to have more than ONE outfit, CRISIS! On the plus side, the kids will be spending the weekend at the grandparents.
Jello, paint techniques....lots of home stores actually give demo classes. Also, wherever they sell the stuff, there are usually booklets w/directions. Glaze takes a while to dry, so it's easy to work with...wipe it off, put it back on. And, don't forget about the library....zillions of books on paint techniques. I haven't used those rollers made for techniques (yet).
Little girl should be here shortly. Still mad at myself for agreeing to watch her. Good thing she's a sweety.

Good Morning to All you Gals...
I went to yoga class and I loved it! Most of the women were my age and one man, think there were 10 of us in all. The instructor had such a soothing voice and I was a lot more relaxed than I thought I would be. Got up this am and did my ballAreo beginner tape, now my arms feel like jello.
Jello, Lowell's Home Center has all kinds of pamplets, on different painting techniques, free for the taking. I pick them up, but then I am afraid to try it. I think that I would like it but DH can be a stick in the mud sometimes. He doesn't like anything "different".
Another fav movie of mine is Fried Green Tomatoes. Love those Southern Gals.
Best get some work done.

Semo, glad you liked your Yoga class! I really need to do my exercise again. I am losing still, without it, but I really need to be doing something to help tone what is left as I am losing it. I don't want to be left with a bunch of saggy skin.
So...back to the grind. Get that exercise in. That is now even more difficult for me than the water. Who would have thunk it?
I guess since I am not a morning person, doing it in the morning is out of the question, and I don't get home until almost 7 in the evening and then there is SO much to do at home that it is hard to find time before I just fall into bed.
Oh, reminder to all of you, if you are not already doing it...TAKE A MULTI-VITAMIN! I have been noticing an increased shedding of my hair. EEEK! That aint gonna happen, girls. So, I did some research and found out that weight loss and anemia can be the cause. I have been anemic in the past, and I am very pale right now, and I imagine that I am currently anemic as well, so I went out today and bought some Women's One a Days. Maybe that will help.
You all probably already take your vitamins like good little girls and don't need reminded...but I am a DOLT and need some guidance!
Well, I have had three perfect OP days and I feel good. (except the exercise of course!)
Today might be good as well, since I have the dental appointment at 2, and I will be numb and hopefully not hungry. I am so nervous now I can't even think about eating, although I did buy a fruit and yogurt from McDonalds with NO granola, (that stuff adds almost another 100 calories!!! YIKES!)
Well, I had better get busy!
Later gals,
Tiff

Hel-l-o-o Ladies & Dearest Kayla:
Kayla:I wish I was as happy as you were when I was in high school. You make my heart sing when you post. Never change!!
Tiffany: You are right about the vitamins. I take always and my sister didn't last year and she had lost 60 lbs due to illness and stress and also became almost completely bald. She is getting the hair back now since she is not losing so fast.
Semo: I can't wait to get to yoga again. I am really too heavy to do the poses I want to do now. But I am walking 4x weekly at minmum and lifting weights 3x weekly. So all is not lost.
Tiger: You'll be beautiful for Xmas just smile
Jello: I just want to be able to shovel snow since deadnurse (Bob the husband) can't because of blocked arteries. Besides he does enough around the house so it makes up for not shoveling. Lst yeat however we only had two inches of snow. Will North Jersey became the new Florida??????????
Huntress: I would be scared too, glad you got through yesterday...I just couldn't watch any TV or listen to the radio since I have been on the verge of tears, and then some, for the past two months, anticipating 9/11 again. I want to move away from here it's not good place to be next to NY

I think I wasn't too afraid that something would happen yesterday, I think they would be STUPID to try that, I think they will wait until we are more complacent about getting through September 11th.
See, Friday the 13th would be my guess, if something was going to happen.
Crossing fingers and toes that nothing like that EVER happens again.

Hi Kayla, so glad that your school year is getting off to a good start. Now advice from Cyber Mom#2, you take some extra cash on this trip just in case you get stranded somewhere and have to take a cab home. Oh and for goodness sake wear clean underwear!
Tiff good advice on the vitamins but don't forget to take extra calcium and then throw in some vitamin b too. Begin taking care of your bones now with the extra calcium while your young.
D.Nurse, did you take classes for yoga? I would think that you could still do a lot of the poses but just become better at it as you lose. One lady went to sleep at the end while we were relaxing and she snored a little too. now that is what I call relaxing.
Tig, what am I missing out on with this new fellow? Give it up girl and tell us more.
I really have to get some work done. Ya'll are bad influences on me, naw, I'm just afraid that I might miss something.

Just wanted to say "Job well done". The 1st 30 day challenge is over and we all survived!
I think starting the next one Oct 1st, is a GREAT idea. It will sure help w/ the Halloween challenge.
Not feeling well at the moment. My stomach doesn't seem to like me. I have no idea whats goig on w/ TOM. I thought I had started, but turned out to be a false alarm, and then it appears to be here today, but not really. Just a tiny bit. ARGH! What's going on? I feel like crap. Walked my 2 miles yesterday, but felt just plain run down. Everything was hurting.
It's official....I'm broken .
Oh yeah, ordered some Christmas presents this morning.
Here's a website ya'll might like:
http://www.collectionsetc.com/
EVERYTHING is $14.99. Bought DD a ballet thingy w/ hangers for $8.97. Got Lucas a couple of car toys too. Also on Amamzon, they have free shipping on books if you spend $25. Just thought I'd share........
