I hear that Tig. Yum!!

The dentist actually went ok, I have to have some deep cleaning, cause I haven't been for 2 years. LOL, they are going to do one half at a time since I bleed so easily. And bleeding is a sign of infection, yadda, yadda, yadda. They filled one other tooth and did the crown thing too. I am numb to my eyebrow and kind of queasy.

Jo, GOOD LUCK tonight! Time to get serious.

I took DS to football pracitce and came home with NO KIDS! DH said little DS could stay and watch. Woohoo. Two hours. I'd take a nap, but afraid I wont fall asleep then tonight.

Got Green Beans, red potatoes and smoked sausage cooking for supper. I'll avoid the sausage. And, I should since I had ANOTHER bowl of cereal. When I lived with my parents, my mom used to joke about me eat'n cereal for every meal of the day. LOL I probably could.

Wonder how Jo is doing with weigh-in....

HEY! Where is everyone?! How am I suppose to drink my morning coffee without anything to read?

My big boy, not a baby anymore, six years old. Makes my heart ache. We let him open one present last night. It was a fall jacket with matching outfit. He's such a little clothes-hound. He was so thrilled that he slept in the jacket!

Jello, what kind of music was playing at the gym last night?

Tigerlily, leaving with tail between legs, nobody to play with....

Tig, it was 76 Trombones!!! It was the Hallelujah Chorus!! It was happy music!! It was the sound of Jo dodging a bullet.

... pausing until that pop-up ad goes away....

OK, so since I started this new program in early August, I've lost ... drumroll ... 3 pounds! Hey, not bad, considering how I thought I'd done. Especially after last week's indulgences. Even better, I've lost inches off all my measurements: waist, abdomen, arms, thighs, etc. Even half an inch off my ... uh, chest region. And I've gone down a whopping 1.1% in fat mass.

The best part is I feel renewed and more ambitious! I talked to my trainer about what I want for the next 5 weeks. Next week, we're going to take some extra time and she's going to show me some other machines at the gym. Big muscle bound guys and skinny chickies in spandex are very intimidating and I don't wanna make a fool of myself in front of them by getting caught in some machine and having to have paramedics come with the jaws of life to pry me out.

Anyhoo, that's my story. My official starting weight for the Halloween challenge: 180 My Halloween goal: 170. I gotta work hard!

Having said that, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow. What am I going to wear!!?!!? What am I going to eat!? Could get interesting...

Tiff, I feel for you. Last time I went to the dentist, I hadn't been in almost 4 years. They were NOT happy with me. Now I go every 6 months whether I can afford it or not. Part of my job here is to page people over the PA system. Try doing that after a shot of novacaine in the morning! What'd she say?

Tig, how was your night of solitude last night? Sounds heavenly.

OK, I have to go. I'm on a mission to plan a week's menu including portion sizes, food exchanges, calorie counts, etc. Oh yeah, this could happen....

It has to! I've got a challenge to meet!!

Top of the Morning to Ya, and a happy Friday the 13th.

First let me say congrats to Jello for a job well done! Then say I'm with envy...I would love to have a trainer... Or just someone to tell me what I should do on what days. I have so many tapes that I could start a library. It would be nice if we all lived closer then we could do a clothes and video trade around. It would be like Christmas all the time.

My arms still feel a little weak this morning. I've been using weights but guess that I hit some muscles that I have'nt been using. Ouch.

Tig glad that your "man child" loved his gift, and it is unsual that he likes clothes at that age. Mine would have had a fit if they received clothes for anything. (B.day,Xmas etc)

Well I have a job that I've been putting off all week and I'm gonna get it done this morning. Back later.

Yikes, it's Friday the 13th. I keep cautiously looking around for any signs of impending doom. I am probably overly superstitious, I do the salt over my shoulder and the knock on wood thing. Hey, it pays to be cautious.

DANG IT, I wish I had a functioning scanner. I have a picture of me that was taken in March of this year and I carry it around in my purse, occasionally whipping it out to anyone that will look, and saying, "Hey this was me in March, can you tell a difference?"

I have shown it to anyone that will look, I swear. I just REALLY need that positive reinforcement, I guess.

Well, numbness is completely gone now and all I can say is, OW. I think they stabbed my gums just for fun. I know he poked my lip with some sharp instrument, cause I SAW him do it, but I couldn't feel it, and now I have a little red dot on my lip, and it hurts too.

Although yesterday, my mouth felt all dried out, so I was going to put on some chap stick and I LITERALLY put it on my mouth, and my chin and my cheek...I couldn't FEEL my lip, and I was like, "What the???" and just kept applying it. LOL. I sure DID apply it.

Well, it is Friday, the end of my work week. I am thinking ahead to Monday when I weigh in for the first time at Weight Watchers. I remember when I very first joined, you have a HUGE weight loss the first week or two from water and then you settle into it. I lost 7 pounds the first week and 3 the next...and then I quit. LOL, I started this in May and have been doing it with the help and support of you guys, but there was no one standing there watching while I weighed in. Now, I feel the pressure of trying to have a good weigh-in to get that "atta boy" from the leader.

So, I will be a good little girl this weekend and get out in the real world and get some exercise and hope for the best. I have had a successful week...and I'll be hoping for the best. Gotta get a move on for this Halloween Challenge. Maybe if I meet goal, I will indulge in a caramel apple. I LOVE them. And I know we are rewarding ourselves with non-food items too, but I really love those little boogers.

Tig, your kids sound like a dream! How does their hair look now? LOL....getting used to it??

Jo, Awesome job at weigh in! Those measurements don't lie. I'm glad they really got you pumping!

Semo! Morning, Chicky!

Where are all of the other little chicks today?

Tiff, I admire you! On one of my MANY journeys through Weight Watchers, I had a Monday weigh-in too. That didn't last long with my weekends! I wasn't brave enough. I wasn't STRONG enough. Sadly, I switched to Thursday night weigh-ins which, of course, meant that I could do whatever I want on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Right?

I had to laugh at your Chapstick incident. I did the same thing last time I had novacaine. You just keep applying more because you can't feel any. My whole face stayed smooth and unchapped for a week!

A girl I barely know from the VFW just emailed me asking if I'd like to help with the monthly newsletter. She's just taken it over from the guy who used to do it. He's almost 80 and just refused to let anyone else touch it. Finally decided to give it up to some "younger blood" and she wants to create a whole new look, etc. Someone told her I do our company newsletter and I've done posters and flyers for events at the VFW so she asked for my input. Sounds like fun.

Also sounds like something to fill the "gee-I-have-nothing-to-do-so-I-guess-I'll-eat" time. That's what I'm really going to need this winter. Too easy to just curl up on the sofa in front of the TV with my good friends Red Baron, Ben & Jerry, Orville Redenbacher, Francesco Rinaldi, etc.

I'm rambling again. Does anyone really read this stuff? If not, don't blame ya.

Well I'm off to open my umbrella inside, walk under that ladder and go looking for black cats....

Ahhh the Red Baron. I have ridden alone with him in his little red plane in the moonlight many times. Smearing sauce on his gauges, and dripping cheese into his cockpit.

Ahhh, the memories.

Yow!!! I will never think of the baron the same way again.

LOL. Cafe - more coughing and less sniffling today.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF Cafe, snuggle up on the couch with some hot tea, or fat-free hot chocolate and do what I do. When I am at home, I stuff toilet paper in my nostrils. LOL, It soaks up the snot good and you don't have as much rubbing of the nose. Just take the toilet paper balls out when they are soaked and stuff new ones up there.

HEY?? It works!!

Tiff, ROTFL!! Not a bad idea! I was a clever girl and got lotion tissues this time, so I'm not in agony (yet). However, I think it's definitely couch and wool sweater time. The only thing is, daytime TV seems like a fate worse than death so I'm hunched over the computer...... I made a whole pot of hot tea and the honey bear is my friend. He may not be diet-friendly, but he stops the coughing. On the other hand, I don't feel like eating which is a plus!!

Yeah, being sick is NOT a glamorous time for me. LOL....hair all sticking up and snot running, eyes matted together. I tell ya, if you have people that STILL love you after seeing you like that, you are truly lucky indeed!

OK, I'm not a guy but I'm thinking hot cheese in my cockpit might be painful....

I am just gonna let that one go. Just letting it go.....

Hey I had a Taco Salad from Wendys today. YUM. I skipped the chips, they add 220 calories to the salad. Waaah. And I skipped the sour cream. I poured my salsa on it and topped it with that chili and girls, I am FULL. For less than 400 calories. There are 400 calories in my Weight Watchers Pizza.

Obsessive with my numbers today. Hairs on the head, calories in the salad....I see a pattern here.

Off to undo my pants and scratch like a man.

For those of you that actually cook, Dyan, you don't have to read any further... This is a YUMMY cheesecake that tastes good enough to take to family functions, LIKE THANKSGIVING, when you want to be able to have a slice of pie and not feel guilty. My goal this Thanksgiving is to have a meal that I can EAT. Fat free gravy is easy to find and tasty, and I am making my potatos with chicken broth this year instead of milk and butter...lots of parsley and pepper in them, you'll never miss the milk. Now, I have a dessert to serve and I am looking for some veggie sides. Hope this appeals to you all as well.

Fat-Free Cherry Cheesecake

3 packages (8 oz.) fat-free cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 ounces egg substitute
1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
12 ounces prepared cherry pie filling

1. Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in large mixing bowl until well-blended. Add egg substitute and mix just until blended. Do not over mix.

2. Sprinkle pie pan coated with cooking spray with graham cracker crumbs. Pour cream cheese mixture into pan.

3. Bake at 325° F for 45 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool. Top with pie filling. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.

Yield: 12 slices
