Thank you! I know I should have came here...and many times I came close to logging in....but I felt like I was just in a slump...I know it was because of the foods I was eating...I'm back on now...not that I was off...but the foods I was having were not healthy and after eating healthy for a month or so I realize how bad the high sugar foods make me feel...sluggish..ill..moody...

I'm feeling much better this week...I'm also back to eating healthy!

You know you can eat a lot more food when you keep it healthy;)

Had to learn my lesson and now I am moving forward

Do you all stop eating at a certain time of the night? Say after dinner or no later than 7pm... Do you keep yourself on a schedule like that?

What if you still have calories you "could" eat do you eat something to meet your deficit or do you just let it go and have more of a deficit for that day?

Do you try and get all your calories in by a certain time of the day knowing you will burn X amount of calories by the end of the day to meet your deficit?

I am having a time because I am a night owl..LOL, and I stay up till midnight or so sometimes later. I get hungry around 9-10pm, but I feel like I shouldn't be eating that late..even though I have the calories available.. Sometimes I will have a yogurt, or some Kettle Korn..I try and not go over 100 calories or eat more calories than I know I will burn before I go to bed. I just wonder if this is messing me up with losing weight, eating that late or if it is OK because I do have the calories available to still meet my deficit and some.

Like so far this week...I weighed this morning and I am actually .5 pound higher than I was Wednesday morning...I just don't understand, I have exceeded my deficit everyday...around 1500 deficit everyday so far and I don't get why I am actually a half pound heavier than I was 4 days ago. I have exercised everyday, watched what I have eaten....unless in the next 3 days I really drop I'm not going to have a loss this week even though my deficit shows I should....hmmmm....I need to figure out what is going on with my body.

All the other times I have tried to lose weight I seem to always hit "this spot" and I give up. But I have the tools this time to make this work...I am going to stick it out with my GWF and figure out what is going on with my body.

Hopefully in the next 3-4 days I will get my loss...if not though I have got to figure out what is going on.

Hello Everyone! On March 1st I dusted off my bb and decided that it was time to get back on track. Although I gained back 22.8 of the 35 I lost, I feel good that I didn't wait until it was all back plus some before doing something about it. Speaking of doing something about it...I'm off to play Walk It Out! I love that game.

Sabra 03-07-2010 08:46 AM

Sasil...Don't give up, even if you have a gain! If you have been doing everything right, it is most likely just water weight caused by either too much sodium or your muscles are retaining water. Either way it is just a temporary gain. Although I'm not as much of a night owl as I once was, I do sometimes eat a snack right before going to bed. If I'm hungry...truly hungry...I'll eat a small low calorie snack even if I don't have any calories left for the day. I simply can't sleep if I'm hungry. Also, I don't worry about eating all my calories if I'm not hungry. As long as you don't make a habit of eating below your target calories, you shouldn't have a problem.

Is there a BB app for the iphone?

Sabra 03-08-2010 03:04 PM

It isn't an app, but if you go to bodybugg.com on your iPhone it will load a mobile version of the website. It is still a beta version, but it seems to work great thus far. BTW...to make logging in easier/faster, I zoomed in on the log-in graphic and saved it to my home screen. Now I can touch the icon, and it will bring up the log-in graphic.

New Bodybugg coming... this is from Jillian's Facebook status update last night: "Interesting work day today. Met with a company called Body Media who invented the Body Bug. They are coming out with a new killer type of bug that will have blue tooth & everything. So cool."

Can't wait to hear more about it!

Neat! I both think it is weird and awesome that BodyMedia differentiates the armbands so much (since the core technology, hardware, is all the same, the branded softwares are the biggest differences). Although since Jillian is talking about it maybe it is just a new version of the bodybugg.

I ran across a BodyMedia armband being branded as the "ExerSPY" and the membership site was an expensive personal training site that gave off some ediets-esque vibes. The armband was over 300 dollars and then the web membership (for uploading and counseling and meal plan) was like 30 bucks a month. I can't believe anyone would pay that when the armband is clearly stamped with bodymedia and if you google them you can see that the bugg and the gowear fit are so much cheaper and do the exact same thing! Their members must be all impulse buys.

It will be cool to see which direction bodymedia is taking the technology.

Hey, Sasil!
For eating at night I've kinda come to view it like this: Food is calories and calories are our unit of energy. If you are going to go to bed soon you don't need added energy to switch over to sleep mode, if you're going to stay up you may need more energy. If you don't go to bed for many hours when the snackiez hit it may make sense to eat. If you're attempting to go to bed at earlier times (as I was when I was working this out) feeding your body and getting it revved up to do things doesn't make sense.

A college buddy of mine made a no eating after 7pm just because he was big (wide, muscles, small layer of fat), active, and always watching weight for ROTC and he was usually hungry so that kept him in his ROTC weight.

As for deficits... I've kinda moved to looking at the whole week because thanks to the GWF I've noticed that certain days I have larger deficits and try to eat when I'm not hungry, if I had just not eaten I would have made up for a day I had a smaller deficit. Thin people naturally balance themselves (or not so naturally) if I can get that balance of eat good food when you're hungry but don't really worry about it if you're not then I should end up doing okay.

Don't worry about a gain!! Things HAPPEN, things FLUCTUATE! Keep doing everything good and maybe try to work on something you think needs work. You do have such great tools and I know that your work will pay off!

can't wait for my get fit to arrive this week. I'm at my half way point and I think this will be a fun motivational tool to help me stay focused. I need every trick I can to keep motivated. I've been a point counter thus far so I'm a little worried about thinking and counting interms of calories....we'll see

TerriP64 03-11-2010 12:39 PM

I am totally in love with my GWF :o) Nothing like cold, hard facts to get you motivated....no more excuses, no more overestimating calories burned, no more thinking I can get away with hanging out on the sofa watching tv. No matter how well behaved I am regarding calories in...the calories burned make a HUGE difference!

Down another 2 lbs....Yay!

Yay, I hope your GWF helps you with your goals and we look forward to hearing more from you!

I have a body bugg and would like to be more consistent with USING IT!

I have pre-paid my subscription for the entire year (Feb. 1 to Feb. 1) so I have NO EXCUSE!

I would love to burn 3K but so far I have never even come close. Sigh.
