I have trouble sometimes too, so I go back later. I have been really bad about uploading and I have not tracked calories in more than 2 weeks, but I am working so much that I am losing like crazy. I know this is weight I have not been able to keep off in the past. maybe the BB will help me this time when I get back to logging.

Hi, fellow GWF (and BB) folks :) I've read all the posts on these threads, so I decided to jump out and introduce myself. I've had my GWF for about 9 days, and I absolutely love it. It does make you more accountable, that's for sure. I look forward to getting to know you all!

February you are destroyed! It was a balmy 36F today and me, the dog, the GWF, and the garmin forerunner 305 went on a trek. Slogging through calf deep snow through the park was not the high point (but all the bounding makes my dog goofy, which is fun) but we stayed out for our 5K and triumphantly returned. I'm looking forward to using the forerunner to help my girls train for our 5K but I'm sure that will have to wait until we can actually run outside. Not seeing it getting satellite in the gym. Hahah.

This I vow: no matter how late it snows into March I will go out every day (when at all possible) just like in December and January.

I think it is okay to take a break from logging. I'm glad you're still losing and I'm sure having the BB will make maintenance easier since you will have data and can keep an idea of how much you are eating and burning.

It does that sometimes to me too. If I plug in my GWF then it takes me to my stats. Its hit or miss for me if I don't plug it in.

Awesome, I plugged in my armband and it worked. Maybe I haven't tried to upload before without already being plugged in, who knows. hah.

What do your METS average per day?

This is something I've never seen discussed. Normally my average METS (see below) are less than 2. Yesterday, I averaged "2" for the first time, at least that I noticed. Probably because I did a little more cardio than normal (generally I weight train, which for some reason doesn't show up as heavy activity even though it feels like it to me!)

I'm curious -- what does everyone average for their METS per day? My understanding is 1 MET is what you are doing when you're sitting quietly, 3 METS is moderate activity like walking, and 6 METS is vigorous activity like jogging. So, what would be a good AVERAGE for a day? Or do we know?

I admit this isn't a stat I usually look at closely, but I just went back a week and I range from 1.58 to 1.91. I too am curious as to what a good met average for a day should be.

Just wanted to report on my last month using my GWF. My tracking with the GWF shows I should have lost 9.0 lbs. In reality I lost 8.8 lbs. Really can't get better than that!

LOVE LOVE LOVE my GWF!!!!

I second that. My BB shows that I should have lost 7 pounds during the past 30 days and I have lost 7.2. I can't really expect much more accuracy than that. I'm so excited to have this and to finally feel like my goal is within reach!

Hi Chaos! It seems like the higher the average METs, the more sustained motion we would have during the day. I'm normally like you, above 1.5 but less than 2 for the day, so I was *pleased* to hit a 2 that one day. I need to try and do it more often!

On the other hand, I am not losing the amoung of weight my GWF says I *should* be. I am quite sure losing weight is *not* simply a calories in/calories out equation -- especially for a post-menopausal, hypothyroid woman like me. I have been on this journey for almost a year and track everything. It's not upsetting to me, I just keep plugging away. Knowledge is power.

Yes I have been having a problem for a while trying to launch the program. It usually takes me to a log out page I will go ahead and log in then open a new window and that usually works and I can launch the program in the new window.

Welcome all the new people using BB/GWF! Even though I have hit a couple hard weeks where my body just doesn't want to lose...I know I would have been way off track without my GWF...it keeps me accountable and has helped me not to throw in the towel!

I just wanted to make sure everyone knew, but Bbuggers can now upload calories consumed from their iphones!!! :carrot:

I don't know about other phones, but it's a huge deal to me so I wanted to let everyone know if they didn't already!

Glad to see you posting Sasil! I have wondered how you were doing. I have had some slow weeks, but I am still workin' through it. When you have a rough week you can always come here and post, we are here to support each other
