Ah ha! Thank you! Gosh I was getting so frustrated last night lol.

I got my GWF!!! Charging as I type.
I set it to maintain my weight, and it gave me 2570 calories!
That's an insane amount of food; I barely topped 1,500 today!

MamaP 05-25-2010 09:51 PM

I reset my targets today. After a month with my GWF, it adjusted my target calorie burn down from 3060 to 2620, and my calorie consumption from 2060 to 1620. My resting metabolic rate is a lot lower than the normal person (years of yo-yo dieting will do that to you).

Whats the GWF?

I see it mentioned along with the Body Bugg here. What is it and whats the difference between the GWF and the Body Bugg? Thanks!

beerab 05-26-2010 12:20 PM

The GWF or GoWearFit is similar to the body bugg but is cheaper and IMO works just as well if not better. I have a friend who has the bodybugg- an older model, and wishes she had the sleep monitor function like I do. I hear the newer BB has it but really it costs a lot more and the monthly fee is higher- IMO not worth it!

I love now how you can post facebook updates of your progress and when you meet your goals or get new records.

I also recently reset some of my GWF goals and upped my steps from at least 5k a day to at least 10k and went from 30 minutes of exercise to 1.5 hours. I'm not thinking I'll get that high BUT I'm tired of the daily notifications that I worked out at least half an hour and went at least 5k steps. If you are looking into getting either I'd read about both- the sleep function and cheaper price appealed to me. Specially when reading reviews I found a good number of BB people switched to the GWF and liked it more.

I picked the GWF for the same reasons Beerab listed.

beerab - Were you able to reset the weight graph at the bottom of your dashboard so that it starts with your new goal? Do you get what I'm saying?

Right now, my graph starts with my starting weight in October and the red goal line slopes down from there according to my original goal. But I've had a few hiccups since then so I'm well above my original goal, and I was hoping to reset that line so it's actually useful.

Thanks!

Hi All

I have the Bodybugg and have been pretty bad about using it lately. I am now back on board and today is my first day of eating well and exercising. I am off to do some errands but for the summer I am off school and have enough time to exercise as much as I want. So I should have no excuses. But boy after eating horribly it is hard to get back to eating what I should. My normal calorie intake is 1300 but now I am going to split it between 5-6 meals to keep my metabolism up. If I exercise a lot I might have to up that number. I have a couple things to keep my motivation up like a family reunion and a vacation. I hope I can do it. I wanted to start a blog and write down what I am eating and how much I exercise and how I feel. I was hoping that would help me to figure out why I lose weight and then sabotage it. I just want to stop. I do know the best thing I ever used was the Bodybugg. It is the easiest to use, if you use it. :) I hope to get to know all of you.

Just wanted to check in! Have been using my GWF faithfully for over a month now. Carefully logging every meal and following a workout schedule for the first time ever- yay!

The good news is that I have been losing 1 pound a week without much discomfort. The bad news is that my goal is -2 pounds a week.. Meaning I have not been hitting my target of 2000 calories a day consumed and 3000 calories a day burned.

I am actually consuming about 1800 cals a day- the problem is I average about 2400 calories burned a day. So here it is- my new vow- I will burn at least 2800 calories a day. Time to step up my game!

How are you all doing??

I tried looking it online- people keep saying you can reset your stats- but I can't find out how. I'd send an email to customer support.

beerab - Thanks! Let me know what they say.

Hey Guys,
I am LOVING my GWF. Its my new bestfriend.lol. My calorie intake goal is 1300and my calorie burn goal is 2300. I usually average 3500-4000 calories burned. GWF motivates me to keep moving. When I am sitting on my computer chair to read I now pick up free weights so I can burn more calories. I am constanly walking around at work so that I can beat my step goal. I am just plain obsessed about beating my previous stats.lol. So far I have lost 10lbs since I first received it on May 7th.

What does the "calorie balance" mean?

VeggieGirl84 05-29-2010 01:13 PM

Got mine a few days ago. Seems I burn about 2400 cals on non-workout days. Today I worked out for an hour and burned about 315 cals. Pretty neat seeing the numbers.

Im confused. When you didnt workout it told you that you burned 2400 calories but when you did workout it said you burned 315 calories?
