Just had 1/2 tuna sand. I used low fat mayonaise to make it. I walked on my treadmill but not very long. Maybe I'll get energized and walk on it more after while.
Ellen- Yippee!!!! 1.5 lbs. is great. You're doing so good. The scale is going the right way.... I wish we could get more people on this board. It used to be so busy.
Crystle- One lb. is terrific!!! We've lost the same amount of weight since Jan. I've lost 6 lbs. too.
Mercee- We'll just have to do better this week. And maybe have a good loss next week. Sometimes staying the same is a good thing.
We have a bid today soI have a minute and thought I would make a quick post.
I did make it to the gym last night. I just didn't have the energy I had the last 2 nights. I did the eliptical for 20 minutes and 6 minutes on the Did about 15 minutes of wts. . I couldn't get the rest of the machines I wanted so I headed home.
I am very dizzy today and I think it is my Lyrica. I am going to get it lowered tomorrow when I go for my epidural.
Toni, lets take that staying the same and let it be our motivation to do a good week so we can see some results next week. It is about the same temp here and they are calling for more snow this weekend.
Ellen, on the 1.5 pounds. You are going in the right direction. Glad you enjoyed the pool today. I was wondering if you still had been "throwing" things.
Crystle, Congrats on your 1 lb loss. I think that is the same reason I don't join their support group over there. I feel like I don't fit in.
Mercee, it is probably the sodium in the chips. I wish we knew why we eat those things.
Better go check the fax machine
Have a great OP Day
Just wanted to check in a say hello. I will be walking on my treadmill tonight. I am having salad for lunch. Well I gotta go we are very busy since we were closed for 2 days. Have a great day everyone.
Hello everyone! I am supposed to have lunch with my daughter today. I am waiting on her to call and tell me what time. Knowing her, she will call me five minutes before I have to be there, and fifteen minutes after I should have left....
So, I weighed again this morning and dang if I was not down another pound! Why could it not show up on Wednesday? Oh well, I will hopefully have a head start for next Wednesday!
I have to go for a sleep study tonight. I am NOT looking forward to it, and I think I am worrying over much about it. If there is something they can do to improve my sleep though, I will be happy. I have heard some people start to lose weight once they get their sleep apnea treated, and I definitely have it. I snore loud enough to lift the rafters.
I will try and check in later after I get home from lunch...if I ever leave! Guess I will go call her and see what gives....
Howdy ya'll. We just got in and I'm so tired. It's been a long day. Calories have been okay but eating has been terrible. We went to incredible pizza last night. It's a buffet. I steered away from the pizza but did have some salisbury steak. Since it was a celebration I also allowed myself some pudding. Tonight we were at mom's and I hadn't really eaten all day so I went ahead and had a piece of fried chicken and half a honey biscuit. Hopefully tomorrow we will be at home. I'm stocked with so many wonderful healthy things. My hubby has totally committed to a healthier lifestyle at home.
Ellen..Hope you sleep study goes well. My mom had one on Monday. She is still laughing. She slept like a rock there and barely moved. At home she is all over the bed and Papa Honey has to wake her up because she is in funny position half on and half off the bed.
Mercee...good to see ya. Hope you didn't work too hard today.
Solly...WTG making it to the gym. I really need some of your motivation. When it comes to exercising I'm plain lazy.
Toni...hope you had a great rest of the day. Have you ever had the steel cut oats? I'm not an oatmeal fan and I've heard they have a better texture but I don't want to splurge if they aren't really much different.
NurseDee...Are you still catching up from feeling poorly?
Tech...Are you snowed in?
Beth, Bob...come back.
If I forgot to say howdy to anybody I'm so sorry. I"m pooped.
Still trying to recover from being closed due to the snow for 2 days at work. I am still busy. I ate Op yesterday and I worked out. It was hard to workout for some reason. I have to go. Have a great day everyone.
It is COLD I'm such a whiner..LOL Jess loves sourdough bread so I made some starter the other day. It is just about ready so I ground some wheat this morning. I'm going to make it with whole wheat and a little white flour. I've even thought of adding some ground flax seed. Probably won't do that until this weekend.
My tummy is grumbling so I need to figure out a light breakfast since it's only a couple of hours until lunch.
Email Tip: Eat Your Big Meal In The Afternoon
For most people, dinner is the main meal of the day. However, when you're watching your waistline, it may be a better idea to enjoy a feast in the afternoon. Although eating lunch as a main meal is a common practice over in Europe, it's yet to catch on in the United States. According to other cultures, eating your largest meal at lunch is beneficial because that's the time frame (between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) when the body digests food the most optimally. One dietitian swears her clients lost between five and ten pounds just by following this simple lifestyle change.
Working on a proposal that I have to start putting together on Monday so it has been crazy. Just wanted to say hi and have a great weekend. I will try to get on tonight or tomorrow to check in an post replies.
Oh boy how'd I get so far behind. Yesterday wasn't so good with the eating. I have trouble with night time eating and am working hard on it. I think it caused me to not sleep so good either. DH is making a turkey and brown rice dish for dinner. I'm so happy to have a break from cooking. But no telling what we'll end up with LOL.
Solly- You sound like a busy lady. Hope you get to come on line this week end. I think it helps.
Crystle- Oh boy I love sour dough too. I used to make it but that was years ago. Thats alot of work..
Mercee- Good going with the eating and exerciseing.
Ellen- How did the sleep study go?
NurseDee- Hope you're doing okay. We miss you hearing from you.
Yummy smells are coming out of the kitchen. I'll go and check back later I'm having some green tea.
You know I seem to be not as strict on myself this week. I eating extra nuts and bigger portions. I guess I must be getting sloppy. Got to tighten it up.
We just finished breakfast. Asparagus with a light cream sauce, eggs and whole wheat toast. A bigger breakfast than I normally eat so I had close to 500 calories. That will cut out one of my snacks today or lighten up my dinner choice. I'm making fajitas so I may skip those and opt for a burrito instead.
Toni...I think sometimes when we are stuck in the house because of the weather we tend to eat more. That is an area I"m working on also. How neat that your hubby cooked for you. Robert is not allowed in the kitchen..LOL
Just had leftover chicken fried brown rice and prunes for breakfast. DH's dinner was so good and healthy. Its a cold and gloomy day here. Hope you're all having a good day.
Crystle- Darn I like your cooking. Robert is a lucky man. I'm a lazy cook lately.
Contemplating where to go for dinner. Everywhere will be packed tonight for Valentine's Day.
DH & I went shopping this morning. He bought me a dress for my birthday to wear for the baby's baptism and/or derby. Afterthat DD and I went shopping. I got a pair of slacks, and 2 tops on 80% clearance. I love a bargain. Going to watch the big UK vs TN Vols game. GO CATS! sorry BOB.
Toni I love that you DH made dinner. The only cooking mines does is on the grill. We are expecting 1" of snow tomorrow and 4-8 on Sunday & Monday. Ugh!
Ellen, any news on your sleep study?
Crystle, I don't think Robert needs to get in the kitchen with the way you cook. He could never top your cooking.
Mercee, WTG on your exercise. You sound as busy as me at work.
OK time to go to dinner, I am starving. Have a wonderful Valentine's day.
