I am with Ronni...how could you annoy anyone so much they would rather talk to Angie and not you? I know its a case of "good help is hard to find". Wonder where Goddess Operator finds all of us devout servants? Hmm road trip to cali sounds good.

Well, DD and I kinda worked things out last night. We'll see how long that lasts. I laid it out for her. She can live here (with her annoying mother), her Dad's (whom she hates) or the state. She chose here.

Well, off to run more errands. Maybe, when I'm done, I can finish the housework. I HATE HOUSEWORK!

Gary~why are you taking your truck into a place that screws around with you? I'd be outta there in an instant!!

I have my car in for new tires today. Darn those things are expensive!

We take all our fleet vehicles to this one guy--great guy, great service, never screws us. He has been around forever. He wants to build his own shop instead of renting. The bank refuses to deal with him. I hate the economy!

Oh, and my DD never did the eye roll thing. She preferred to stare right through you as if you weren't there. Made me think she wasn't listening as well (you know--lecture time!).

My day gets worse...

Walk into give blood.... Gary's here We have a 4 month old baby that needs you Being o-neg can be rewarding.

fill out the questions....go back for the little finger prick and blood pressure....chatty Cathy with the nurse as she goes through the questions....so what are you doing today Gary?...oh, took truck in...got teethe cleaned...."Going to get them cleaned today?"...No, already did..."Today?" ....yep....see ya later dude...

Evidently a cleaning is considered dental work...I knew cavities, crowns, etc...but not a cleaning....dang! Going back tomorrow, need 24 hrs. on that one....dang!

Long story short on the truck. I have a brake light on the cab...it leaked from day one when I bought the truck. They fixed it...not...we don't get much rain here...rained again....the lady that helped me said "Yep, those have been a problem but we have new cab brake light assemblies that fixed that problem....you will have to pay do you want us to do it?" Guess so, but I don't know why I should pay since it was never right to begin with Go ahead and do it.

Off to life....rain comes again and it leaks...away from home a bunch so I duct tape the edges so water can't go in.....seats are already ruined and stained...AGAIN! but I got dogs that run wild in the seats anyway...so I deal with it.

Go in today and say FIX IT! They say it will cost the same....about $120...I say why? it was never right ...I paid the last time for your product that YOU agreed was broke..."Sorry jack but it is out of warranty"...HOW can that be? it's been only 4 months?..."You have 17,000 miles...it is only good for 12,000....DUDE it's a freakin light that sits on the cab....how can miles make a difference?...."That's what the book says....you gonna pay JACK...you gonna PAY"

You all don't need to hear my tone and what I said....he then grabbed the paper work and threw it on the "lady's" desk....she said...got a problem? Yep ....now she is ....went to talk to her manager....I just said I gotta go...call me when it's done and FIXED!!...she say's...I will call your WIFE!....fine...FINE!!! FINE!!!!

not a great day so far for me....

now a 4 month old waits...dang!

Prayers for that kiddo please....

I am fine...freakin' fine!

oh and to top it off....there may be an issue with a part of the gum under my back molar...will have see doc next week...'cause today he is on a cruise...

wish I was on a cruise!

Kick back and have a beer, Gary. That's what I'm doing having just replaced my windshield for $140. Then, I get on the interstate to drive home and a work truck with a ripped mudflap sent a rock at me chipping my 5 minute old windshield.

Hattie-We need your execution skills in Cal and Ut. Gonna be busy times for you.

Oh yeah. 330 to go.

Oh, almost forgot. The jacka$$es here decided to shove a 4 day work week done everyone's throat in a ridiculous attempt to save money. Rather than splitting the crews in half and keeping the offices open all week, they went with Closed on Fridays, so I can't get my damned registration till Monday anyways.

OK. So I went to check my messages and saw a video about a 90 yr old man who got wiped out to the tune of $700,000 by that Maddoff pr*ck. Now, the old man is working for $10/hr to pay for his house and wife's med bills. I guess I shouldn't gripe too much about a chipped windshield that I can afford to have filled in.

Hattie-Could you use you skills on Bernie Maddoff instead.

Oh dear! That's so sad about the old guy.

There I was feeling all warm and fuzzy after what I thought would be a difficult lunch with a local politician who turns out to be a poet as well. Now there's a combo. We know lots of the same writers in the Ottawa area - we did get our official business dealt with and spent the next three hours just schmoozing. Whoda thunk it?

I saw the story on the news last night. He sure doesn't feel sorry for himself. That should be a lesson for us all.

Gary, Gary,Gary, I would be so ticked off, I'd already have called whoever is the head of the company, like Ford's or Chevy's main office or something. I don't let people take advantage of me anymore and I never allow them to pull attitude, because I'm the one paying their salaries. We have been fortunate enough with our dealership that we trust them completely (they also know my DH knows more about cars than all their mechanics put together, so they never try to put one over on us), but there have been other places not so lucky. So sorry your day went bad.

I saw the story about the older man and his lost savings, also. Very sad, but what an incredible attitude! Now, if we could get 700,000 people to send them only $1 each, they'd have their retirement back and none of us would miss it!

Did you all see the story about the dolphins up in Newfoundland? You Canadians rock! Just brought tears to my eyes. Sorry to go on so long......

Talking

Gary: What a day!! Tomorrow can only be better!! Are you sure you didn't mention anything about a virus?

Here you go Gary:
Lady in dealership: I think choking on that paper is a FINE way to go!

Gentleman (NOT): I think he will go home and find that he has been passed off by his wife who got SCREWEDby his best friend! He then gets in his truck and since his break light is on and he doesn't know how to fix it....He has no breaks (going down a huge hill).....

Goddess Operator: The rest of the mud flap is hanging on that work truck and the driver trips on it when he gets home. He gets mad and rips it off and throws it through his windshield which shatters and ...oh he was in the way of the flying glass.....

Daily Special: BM has to live on $10.00 a day until he can't take it anymore and decides to end it.

Is that good? I could do more if that isn't enough.

(Please don't think that I am really evil. This is all said in fun.)

Can't wait to see that horror movie HATTIE just wrote

gettin' that girl a voo-doo doll...I am

MISS TNT ~ I swear I had a new windshield put in my truck yesterday! Cost $180 plus tax. It was the second one for me and third in 2 years for Angie and I, they gave me a $20 discount for being a frequent flyer! I didn't feel robbed...I was in my truck both times the windshield got hit by rocks from semi's in front of me. When you drive as many miles as I do it is expected...

RONNI and ALLISON I did have a good mechanic but he was sleeping with my ex-wife ....well, several years after we got divorced He has severe back issues now and can't work on my truck much.

Well, The dealer gave me a deal ...gave me a 25% discount on the part....wow de zow amazingly it cost exactly what it did last time...4 months ago. I calmed down....it isn't worth the stress over $100.....of course the window that wouldn't roll up or down properly cost $350....time to look for another repair shop besides the dealer...just tried to get through warranty issues.

Then I went to Costco to get tires rotated...nope!...couldn't wait the hour and a half....wasted trip.

Angie made some more holes in the drywall that I had to repair....on my day off ...she was finishing up painting the guest room...looks good.

I hope she is gonna pay me tonight for that 3 minutes of work...pretty much will be a trade off on that one

Did get in 3 miles with Angie and the mutts to relieve some stress

And since I was near the produce market after I went to Lowes for some work tools, I ran in and my wheat bread was there it is from a San Diego bakery and cost only $1.50 a loaf When we go in Sunday you can't always find it...the other flavors I get....sourdough, pumpernickel, squaw and deli rye are good too and also a buck fifty to $2 a loaf....best buy around.

Going off to work on my poetry...need to schmooze a little too...it is date night friday dont'cha know....

Well, it cost me $20 to fix my brand new windshield. Looks pretty good. 10:00 tomorrow I get my inspection done. Hoping I can get the tags w/o reaching another Bday in line at the DMV. I HATE THE DMV!!!

I don't know who volunteered and I hadn't realized Ruth lived next door. Next door neighbor has 2-3 cubic yards of yard trashed bagged and out at the curb tonight!!!!

Moderation EZ. You don't have to consume it all this weekend.

Windshields everyone. Florida law requires the insurance companies pay 100% of windshield replacement - no deductible. Of course we're paying for it in the premiums. Repair/Replacement glass companies lurk at car washes at make sure you're aware of chips, etc. that they can repair for you in just minutes. (You spend as much time on the phone getting it authorized as they spend fixing them.)

Have a great weekend everyone.
