It's been a little while since I posted. I've been fighting a major head cold and I think I'm winning. I feel much better. My niece and her BF are here right now and he's sick too. It's been pretty quiet and boring around here this weekend.
Gary: I'm so glad to hear that the wedding went well despite the glitches. I could have sent you some cold air!! The challenge is still going although with this cold I haven't been exercising the way i should. DH has given up sweets during the week and is doing really well. It's anyone's guess who's going to win this!!
Heatherre: Welcome! We're here to give you support. Tell us a bit about yourself!
rachel: Another 3 lbs. Way to go! Keep up the great work!
Amazing Race is about to start so I'm going to go for now. Talk to you all again soon!
How's it going? Sorry to here about the electrical problems and your accident Gary. Welcome, Heather. I have a cold too Wilma. Aren't those things nasty? I am taking Zicam and cough drops.
We woke up late this morning. We had about twenty minutes for the five of us to get ready with one bathroom. It was crazy. The kids' bathtub is plugged and we have to call a plumber to get it fixed so for now they are using our bathroom. The Christmas program director went long by ten minutes so we had a very short story about Samson and his bad hair cut. The kids were understanding. One kid thanked God when we were praying that we had a good Sunday school teacher so far. That made me laugh.
We ate leftovers for lunch and went to sleep for two hours. It is foggy and rainy here. DH is lonely so I guess I should go take care of him. I have been kind of grumpy today so I owe him some sweetness to make up for my bad attitude.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while been so so busy. with the holiday and Kristie was home from school for a week, and all. Had an awesome Thanksgiving- I am so blessed with a healthy family, God is trully so good to me and mine... Pray yours was all equally wonderful. Went shopping on black fri. always exciting... Rachel- wow! Girlfriend down 8 pounds since I last posted. Great Job... Glad to hear you enjoyed the concert. Sounds like your son is very musically gifted. I have a few kids in my youth group at church that are very musically gifted and its awesome to watch them excel and use it to glorify the Lord.
E.Z.- Wow! what an amazing Wedding album, no ugly people in your family

Our temps have been really warm for this time of year, was 66 degrees yesterday, now pouring outside again, suppose to crash down to the 30's though... Glad Lara got home for visit whole change of weather for her... and it hasn't even snowed yet, except in the mountains...
Wilma- Glad your cold is improving... Luv the amazing race.. I really liked the Chinese brothers, and the coal mining couple I don't care for most of the teams that are left. However luv the amazing race...
Welcome Heatherre- come back and post!!
Well gotta run lots to do today. have an awesome weekend...
Hey, guys how's it going. I have been doing fine. I am on a program called the Lord's Table. It is really interesting. It is on settingcaptivefree.com. I am glad everyone is doing well. That big storm missed us, Wilma. Have fun shoveling lol. It is cold, cold here, but sunny.
Just time to bop in real quick and let you know Matthew McConaghey (sp?) is on Oprah TODAY talking about "The Marshall Movie" which is about the 1970 plane crash of the Marshall University football team here in my hometown. Should be really, really good. Matthew says he has seen the movie 5 times and still cries every time (what a man!) Also be sure and see the movie when it's released on December 22nd!!! Hope everyone is having a great day, will be back soon and post more (I hope!)
Hugs & prayers - Margie
Wow! Have I been busy! Along with getting ready for Christmas I've been training new staff, covering for a staff member on holidays....... I am going to enjoy my time off at Christmas. Thank goodness my mom is cooking Christmas dinner!!
I am feeling a lot better now. It took a good 2 weeks for this cold to finally taper off. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into exercising again really soon.
It's pretty quiet around here these day. I sure hope everyone is doing well. I do keep you in my prayers!!
Hey guys,
How is everybody? I think we are all really busy, Wilma. I got on the treadmill Monday, morning and started running and I feel like I have stopped since. Not to mention I haven't got any Christmas shopping done. I will get done what the Lord wants me to.
As for the scale, things are going great! I am still on the eating plan at The Lord's Table website and I lost another four pounds. Pray I will be able to keep it up because I start getting a little nervous at this point. I haven't been below 172 in years.
Six days and no posting. We must all be out doing our shopping. I am finally finished and other than a bit of baking I'm ready. We will be going to my mom's for christmas day and will celebrate with our kids on christmas eve. So, it'll be busy but it'll be a lot of fun too.
How is everyone doing? Keep posting. I really would hate to see this forum fade away.
To God be the glory. I lost another 3 pounds this week! Yippee! That makes for a total of 15 pounds. I hope you all are well and not wearing yourselves out shopping.
We have two more Christmas programs to attend and then we are done with that. I don't do much baking anymore because I am a taster. I'll lick the beaters, I'll lick the spoon when I have the baked item in the oven, and I'll lick the bowl, if given the chance. It just isn't conducive to do that. . Anyway have a Merry Christmas. See you around.
Way to go Rachel!! You are doing really awesome!! Keep up the great work! I admire you for not baking because of the temptation. I'm also trying to stay away from the beaters but I do need to bake for our Christmas events. I'm not doing much though so it shouldn't be too bad.
Hope everyone is doing well this morning. Did you all see Biggest Loser last night??? Didn't they all look great??? I was hoping for Erik or Kai, would have liked to see a female winner but. . . . Erik did win and looks absolutely fabulous as did Wylie, I couldn't believe the difference also in Bobby, didn't even look like the same person he had changed so-o-o much.
RACHEL - WOW, you are doing awesome!!! I am GREEN with envy!!! Keep it up!!!
WILMA - you have just been a doll keeping this tread alive. I read it, almost daily but I think what in the world is going on in My life that anyone else would be interested in??? But you have been one busy lady. I must say that we do miss EZ when he's not around and we've missed SunnyD and Michele for a long, long time now.
Well, as for me and my DD, we leave Sunday for New York, a little four day jaunt with some girls from her dance company. I'm starting to get really excited, been to the State but not to the City, and looking forward to seeing the Rockettes and all the beautiful Christmas windows and decorations. DD wants to ice skate at Rockefeller Center, (sound fun!) and of course SHOP!!!
We plan to be at the Today Show on Monday morning. I'm trying to locate a "We Are Marshall" sign which will also help promote the movie which is to be released next Friday (the 22nd). Awesome reviews, be sure and see it when it comes out.
Had a little scare with Mom last week, Dad called 'early' Saturday morning and the squad was taking her to the ER, thought she had a heart attack, (she already has a pacer). Got over there and, thankfully, found out it was some severe angina, she said it was the worst she has ever felt. Has had some angina over the past several years with her heart problems but Dad was pretty shook up, told me it was the worst he had ever seen her and he was afraid he was going to lose her. In the end, just the 24 hr. heart monitor and sent her home the next day. She seems fine, (of course she wouldn't tell you if it was otherwise) and we're all just really thankful to have her home again.
Wow, I actually filled up most of the page. . . . before I forget EZ - DD has changed tennis coaches, likes this one real well, had changed her grip and serve and really working with her. Has also talked me into buying her a new racquet for Christmas. Probably won't do another tournament until after the New Year. Hope family is doing well. Wedding photos were gorgeous and Angie looks as beautiful as ever (you are one lucky dog!) beautiful family, you know this means beautiful grandchildren!!!
Okay, I'm done. Look for me on Today Show, Monday morning and hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season. Remember to thank Him as He is the Reason for the Season.
Thank for the congrats guys. I had a tough day yesterday. I had four extra kids last night then normal. Brandi brought her three children over because she had to go take a final. Kiley was here because her mom had to work. Destiny was here as usual. It has been super damp and muddy around here lately. The dog was out playing with the kids and wrapping herself around them with her leash. Pat let her in and she was all muddy. I went to take her back to the porch to wipe her feet and Destiny slammed my finger in the door. Pat fixed my fingers and stopped the bleeding and I talked to Destiny and told her I wasn't mad about it, I knew it was an accident. Then we were going to take Dakota, Destiny, and Jimmy to AWANA, but Dakota threw up on the bathroom floor. I cleaned it up and sent upstairs to bed. Sarah gave her a pail and she went to sleep as far as I know.
Jimmy, Destiny, and I went to AWANA. That was a relief from the stress at home. Jimmy had fun. It was his first time to Cubbies. Pat stayed with the babies and figured out how to set up the new pack and play.
Why does everything stressful happen on a Wednesday? I don't know but God knows and He is good. I just love coming to this thread and seeing what is going on with every body. I hope you all have a good day.
Sorry it has been so long since I posted. I actually did a long one last week-end but it ended up in cyberspace somehow. I was out of town all week again, left at 3am Monday morning and got home (after 10-12 hour days) Thursday night at 10pm. Angie is really loving the PEACE W/O me here! My mutts miss me though They won't leave me alone when I get home from being gone for 4-5 days at a time.
Actually I have a little time now, Angie and Amanda are out running with them as I post.
Picked up my truck from the body shop yesterday, looks great, they even fixed a scratch I put in it and the big dent that happened a few years ago when Angie took my NEW truck to the store and some jerk hit it and took off while she was shopping. The body shop guy told me that I must have been hit really hard to cause the damage that was done...oh yeah!
I went shopping with Angie last night...WOW!....how do you guys do it? After 15 minutes I was exhausted...had to get a Venti from Starbucks to keep me going.
