Just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone!!! We're doing good. DH and I just started WW at home last week TOGETHER and are doing well. It makes all the difference doing it together. I didn't fall off the edge of the earth but have had lots of computer problems and now have a different server which is 120% better so far.
I'm still working and taking life hard. Hello to all the GANG and to all the newbies!!!! I have missed all of you greatly. I will try real hard to post as often as I can.
Hope EVERYONE has a GREAT FRIDAY and a GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!
Mitchy- I tell my girls this (I know it's going to sound korny) When you get alone by yourself and no one around (usually the bathroom for me) take all that is stressing you all that lays heavy on your mind and place it in both hands and then hold your hands up to the Lord and just say..."Here, You take it...I can't handle it." I just know that the house will somehow get done and I just know you will find the right thing to wear and always pray to the Holy Spirit before you talk and I'm certain and I have the faith that you will have a wonderful time. I will be thinking and holding your weekend close to my heart and prayers.
Sunshinelady- Good for you and DH. Yes, I'll bet it would be wonderful doing/sharing/bonding the whole eating/lifystyle change with a mate. Rootin for ya!
Bunna- Keep eating that soup...I hear it does soothe.
EZ- Busy as a bee. I wish is were warm enough to have those pesky bees flying around again. I'd love to see pics of the pups.
Sprout- The devotions were great. Ya know, I could feel the excitement in my stomach a little reading about the brother/sister devotional story. You are wonderful for printing them. Thanks and a
Sunny- Praying for safety and fun!
Today, when I got to work, I peeked in the donation barrel I put in our front entrance for the Shepherd's of Independence people and low and behold...a whole 2 empty, sticky pop cans. How low can a person go? I felt hurt. But then, I should not have expected anything from the people that work here. Many are hardened by their job and have an attitude of I really don't know...because I would never want that attitude. Poor souls. I guess I should really pray for them and not despise them.
Father God, forgive them for they know not what they do. Amen and Amen!
Hugs to all of you this weekend and Mitchy...enjoy enjoy and enjoy. Love is in the air...
I came into work this a.m. to find that the "Heart Fairy" visited my office last night! Someone (my co-worker Scheryl) put pink hearts and graphics, kissing lips all over my computer and desk. It was so cute, i had to take a pic, i'll upload them later. Well it's Friday and he'll be here soon, the house isn't done but at this point i've resigned myself to the fact that i can't do it all. I found some clothes last night, all on sale, spent about $60. on a skirt and 2 tops, one is bright pink and cool, may wear that tonight instead of the poncho, it's kind of cold here, not sure the poncho will work. But it may, it has mohair in it and it is warm. I'm so nervous still but Mkay, i like your suggestion. That is a good idea, to give it to the Lord, because i know he'll take care of me.
Sherry~So happy to see you! Woo hoo on you and DH and WW, what a great thing to do together. Hope you are able to come back soon and catch up with us all.
Working til 1 today, then getting my hair straightened and styled, then picking Doug up......if I don't have a heart attack before then!.......
The day has arrived Mitchy. I bet everything will be great. How cute of your co-workers, can't wait to see the pics. Have a great time Mitchy, I will be thinking about you while I am gone. Can't wait to hear all about it on Monday when I get back.
Mkay, that is such a sensible good idea and I probably have heard it before but forgot. I know I need to hand things over to God and leave them there. We sure cannot control the actions or thoughts of others can we? It does seem heartless of them but maybe they just feel like volunteering is enough, and leave the donations to someone else.
Sherry, good to see you.
Hello to everybody else. I will be gone for a couple of days, my uncle's funeral is tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Just wante to pop in and wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Love ya,

Hi ladies- it's Angie
Gary asked me to post some pictures of our puppies.
They have been very busy digging up our backyard. Since the rain, they have experienced a new treat - MUD! They dug up my Ronald Regan rose roots and all, and my satsuma plum tree. Reba now thinks it's okay to sleep on the couch - she just jumps right up and makes herself comfortable.
Reba is almost 11 mos and Rylee is 10 mos. We still have about a year left of this "puppy stage". I hope THEY survive!
This is me chasing the dogs after they've eaten my boots!
Reba is pictured on the left and Rylee is on the right.
I hope everyone is doing well today. It is such a beautiful day here in southern California, in the low 70's! My son is out in the back yard "working on his tan" while he reads something for his college teaching credential program. Wanted to share some news on him with everyone, the "old timers" know he is student teaching now at a local high school and he has coached for the last 4 years at his old high school...anyway he declined coaching this year due to his tough schedule, he didn't feel he had the time or could do service to the kids...well, last thursday he was approached by the basketball coach at the school he is teaching at to be a JV assistant boys basketball coach for pay or be a freshman boys basketball coach for pay or if he couldn't commit, be a freshman boys basketball coach and just help when he could..no pay. Then before he left the parking lot for home he checked his cell phone, the head track coach from "his" high school, where he had been coaching 2 sports, called to see him...they wanted him to "please" coach the high jumpers and the girl sprinters, for pay. I guess when he was leaving the athletic director saw him and asked one of the teachers (a friend of my son) what he was doing there and she told him about his meeting with the track coach...then he called my son to ask him to coach the freshman girls basketball team for pay...4 offers in one day...when he wasn't even looking or considering due to the time restraints...he isn't sure what/if any job to take.
My daughter is in Mexico with her boyfriend and his family, they are with a group of doctors and dentists helping the less fortunate. She was up here thursday night and had just seen a documentary on some children in Africa in a group called the Lord's Army (not a good thing) from what I understand the bad people kidnapp kids and teach them to kill other children....long sad story. She was very upset, she knows, from college, a couple of the Lost Boys of Sudan...we are so blessed to live here in the USA, Canada, England.
Step daughter playing soccer right now for club, Angie is there with my goddaughter who came up from the Navy ship last night to visit...she just got a tongue ring ...I will see her dad next week...hope I can keep the little secret from him...he won't be happy. Step daughter working on a piano concert for her soccer and softball teams at school.
Nephew...aahhh...remember when he was doing so well Last week I received a call or note from each of his teachers for his TALKING!! He seems to have his grades decent...could be dropping from A's to B's though...but he just can't seem to be quiet in class....he has had so many restrictions and things taken away lately that I feel like the mafia!
Angie has been busy with her business...I had to promise favors to get her to post pictures of those puppies! Me, same old thing...busy...no more than usual...I did finally figure out though how much my "normal" schedule has changed since those puppies got big...and into trouble!! I used to come home, grab a beer, put my lunch box and thermoses away, check the mail and phone messages then sit and check/post at 3FC...well,...Now it's clean-up and play with those puppies before anything else...by the time I am done with that, and dinner (making or eating) the kids HAVE TO HAVE THE COMPUTER and ANGIE HAS TO HAVE HERS!!
Angie and I are flying up to Portland then taking a puddle jumper to Kennewick Washington next Saturday for 4 days. We are looking into the area for possible relocation...we shall see, we are looking for some reason to leave this ALMOST ALWAYS SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WEATHER Did I mention...I'm not tooo smart?
Well gonna leave for a second to catch the last play of the Jets game...
Not a Jets fan really, but a Chad Pennington (their q-back)...at least he wasn't playing!! My Raiders...and ON-MY-WEIGH'S DH Raiders are off today...at least NO LOSS this week
SUNNY I hope you have the greatest time in Maine!! All my prayers are with you and Joe. Thanks so much for keeping it going here when some of us drop the ball...it is so nice to see NEW KIDS!! that are staying isn't it?! Here in So. Cal. some just leave up the lights all year...I usually put up mine Thanksgiving week-end, I know what you mean by the cold weather though, it will probably be in the low 60's here then ...at night. Just kiddin', some areas near me were in the 40's at night last week. Hope you can check in while you are gone...HAHAHAHAH...like you really want to talk to us while on vacation!! But, I do know from my trip to Virginia this summer, you will miss us
MICHELE WELL,......details!!!
MKAY Maybe (?) they thougt it was a recycle can. So you are praying for them so you don't despise them...good for you..I usually find myself praying TO despise them....I am not overly forgiving to jerks!! Sounds like the DH thing is getting better....ya know what guys REALLY like for the holidays? Not gonna tell ya! you'll see!! Seriously...I am praying for you both to work out the problems...Angie and I have found a way to say what is bothering us to each other...then NOT HOLD IT AGAINST THEM...keeps us from "stewing"...let's the other know what we think/feel about the situation...then allows us to get past it!! Some issues are continuous..but we have a policy to keep moving forward and not ALLOWING the crap to hurt our marraige! You learn from past mistakes....I am not too smart...but ANGIE IS!! Prayers!
SUE Where you be? Prayers!!
WILMA Are you about FED up with remodeling Hope those cabinets are looking great by now! Hope things are balancing out at work just as you want. How is the "electrician" doing? and the student? girlfriends? DH?...do they miss ya Martha?
BUNNA Hey dear, I will be north of you next week! Gonna experience some of "your people" kind of weather for a change. Hope the funeral went well (?)...is that OK to say? My wife makes a really simple posole with hominy and chicken...could have sent you some!! Super for colds...OR... a cool day. I kind of know what you mean about winter depression...I never felt depressed, but years ago the guys at work figured out that they couldn't keep up with me in the spring or summer but that in the cool fall or winter they could...they brought it to my attention that I slow down in the cold weather more than they do...probably not wise to move to Washington unless I plan to retire
MARILYN Thanks for the devotions...Pray all is well with the kids and husband...seems like only yesterday you were listing your mileage to see how many for 2003...keep on truckin'!
SAMI I know this is the busiest time of the year for you! Hope all is well at work and with DD and the baby. AND YOUR HEALTH!!
SHERRY Is that really you? Great to hear from you! I can honestly say that I was worried about you! Great for you and DH and the WW!! The girls OK?
TEEL Hope all goes well in the hospital. PRAYERS!!
SARAH-RACHELLE I thought it was cute that you and my daughter liked Rainbow Bright, then I looked up your personal and saw that you are only 3 years older than her...cool! If you really want to write down what you eat, can I suggest that you look up my wife's website..www.fitnessmadesimple.net. There are journals that she has made for that purpose...check it out...if you like it PM me and we will send you one for free...there are a few gals that have already tried them. Good luck with your efforts!
ANGIE-WANGIE Hope all is well.
ON-MY-WEIGH What a great looking family!! My son's name is Ryan too!! We have so much in common with that and the RAIDERS!!...OH...you say BRONCOS? Let me talk to your husband! I LIKE him BETTER I wish your family the best. I wish you lived near me..I would LOVE to babysit those kids...especially the one on the way...I am a sucker for babies...and puppies...and YES! I really do like the Raiders too. Weired..huh.
HEATHER Welcome, now come on back!!
Well if I missed anyone I apologize! My neice has a "dance concert" tonight so I better go NAP..it's gonna be 2 hours of kids doing songs and dance...
Easy on a Monday
If you choose one day this week to make an extra effort to relax, make it Monday.
For certain people, the risk of stroke may be greater on Monday than on other days of the week, a recent study suggested. Researchers are not sure why. However, increased stress levels due to switching from easy Sundays to workday Mondays could be part of the picture. Make time on Mondays for deep breathing exercises and relaxing stretches.

It's Gary!!! Glad you are doing well. Those puppies look so innocent in the photos, I think you are just imagining all that destrustrive behavior. My pups found a good use for all the holes they dug, they play hide n' seek. It is fun to watch but oh those holes. Kennewick huh? It is nice over there but how did you pick that area? Did you check out Bend and Sunriver here? Enjoy the trip.
Michele???
Mkay, are you gone too?
I sent an email to Teel's friend to be forwarded letting her know she is in our thoughts and prayers. Poor baby.
Well, I would like to say that the weekend was uneventful but NOT!!! We got to my brother's house on Friday afternoon early had dinner, mom complained of having a headache and wasn't feeling too good. Thought maybe she was getting my gunk. About 2:30 I got up to go potty and I heard her in the kitchen just moving around and then heard a "thud" and ran in and sure enough she is passed out cold on the floor. So my brother (ER nurse) and my sil (critical care nurse) got to her and got her awake but when we tried to set her up she passed out again so off to the hospital we all went. Appears she has had some gut problems for a while now and the doctor has not addressed them so guess what "she was dehydrated." She drinks plent of liquids so the dr. said something else is going on but the CT scan and the x-rays didn't show any immediate danger so they let her go about 6:30. But then she was very sick so had to miss her brother's funeral, but the rest of us (minus my sil who stayed with mom) went on about four hours sleep. We didn't even fall asleep during the sermom part. At any rate, I personally am going to get after her doctor but I also wonder if she has IBS because she has complained about gut problems since I can remember. I asked her if she and dad thought they needed to test the stamina of their children or what??? Can't wait for Sunny to get back so I can ask her about her diet plan.
The funeral went well and I got to see some of my cousins that I have not seen for a long time. My uncle was a Christian so we will miss him but we don't have to worry about his eternal life cuz he is cheering us on now. My other uncle who is not a believer skirmed through the whole entire sermon but obviously he needed to hear it.
I am feeling only slightly better but at least I am on the down hill side of this stuff. Barring any emergencies in our family I am thinking I can return to some normalcy in my life, whatever that is.
Sorry this is so long guys. Hope everyone is having a great day.
Bunna- Your post was NOT long. Oh my gosh about your aunt. It's a blessing all of you were there and heard/found her. Good grief...what next? Yeah, I remember when I squirmed during a sermon...that's the day I got saved. My heart was beating almost outside my chest. Time to start feeling better...I bought a bunch of frozen entrees (healthy choice on sale) and I will be eating them for lunch. I know they're not on the SB but I must do what I have to do.
Mitchy- Where arrrrrreeeee you?
EZ- I want those pups. They are so much like children when they are tots aren't they? Bunna's right...you must be imagining their playfullness.
Teel- I will be praying for you sweetie. May God be ever so bright in your healing and recovery.
Sprout- Ya know, I do feel the stress today. I have a headache and I want to rush rush rush. Now, since I'm not on my prozac which I didn't think calmed me but I feel all over the road map in my head. I prayed yesterday at church for the stillness, the ability to focus more and to SLOW DOWN THE BRAIN! Thank you for the reminder that today I must slow down and destress! You're a hun for all the devotions you write.
Painting did not get even started this weekend. I will probably wait until this coming Saturday. I have other organizing I want to do first.
DH finally left for his hunting trip Sunday morning while I was at church. He kept calling me yesterday because he was excited he had heat in his truck. He did not have heat for a long while. I think he was just excited he was finally on his trip he longs for all year. I slept diagonal last night. Something weird though, in my dream last night, I heard someone say my name and I answered in my sleep to acknowledge that I heard it. Then I woke up and realized I was sleeping. Strange.
Tonight is my spa party (beauticontrol products) and tomorrow is healthy eating class and then Wednesday is HOBBY LOBBY to buy bead stuff!!! Thursday is BINGO at Shepherds.
I'm super tired, a little down, not sure what to think or feel today. The visit went well, i enjoyed my time with him. It was overall very good, but there's a little disappointment and not knowing what to think. It's a long story and one i can't go into now. I think i'm mainly over-tired and stressed and today is a Monday. I will maybe download some pics tonight......
hi again just to let you know teel has had all your messages and says thanks no sign of her getting out yet so i will keep you all posted and i willl pass on all the messages to her when she gets out
kirsty
Taking a few minutes during the football game to say hi. I had to "cook" tonight...well, er....sort of....I gave my old Ford Ranger to my ex-wife, she has a good car but people can always use a truck, anyway it has just been sitting around here waiting for me to move it from the street sweeper every other week or run it to the store to keep the battery charged...my son and I ran it out to her auto repair shop tonight after work, then I had to take nephew to tennis and pick-up...Angie had yoga so I decided to "cook" KFC EXTRA-CRISPY!!! umm-umm-good!
Went to my neice's concert last night, very well done! and fun! Alot of dancing and Wizard of Oz with a christian theme.
BUNNA So...truthfully...what do you know about the Kennewick area? nice or were you joking? we have heard it isn't that nice to it's very nice. We have very dear friends there that love the area...but then come to think of it they are a little...OK..A LOT...WEIRED! As far as Bend and Sun River...we check that out all the time..Angie is VERY interested in the River Rim area of Bend and the area of River Country Estates..I think it is. I just think that it would be too cold there for me in the winter...we have dear friends, 2 sets there also....we are also thinking of Sequim, Washington...again..friends there too! I have been there and love it but Angie hasn't seen it yet....will let you all know around Thanksgiving what I think of the Kennewick/Richland area. SO sorry about your mom...Praying that this finds her well now! I hope you are way better by now too!
MKAY Ya know Mary..maybe it's not the heater in the truck that has your DH excited!! Sounds like you two are "working" things out. Prayers! As far as those puppies go...well, I LOVE them and wouldn't trade them for the world...but boy oh boy have they ever dug up the back yard!! Right now they are wrestling in the livingroom... down a flight of stairs...to the backyard..and then back in the house...EVERY FREAKIN' NIGHT!!! for almost 45 minutes...the good thing (?) when they are finished they collapse! Rylee got a scrape near her eye earlier tonight...I think it will be OK...but am still concerned...don't like seeing patches of red under that fur. Have fun at the spa party...ya know...you could have a painting "party" on Sat.
LINUS Keep sending prayers to Teel for us!!
MARILYN Thanks for the devotion.
MICHELE Sorry that the date wasn't as "PERFECT" as you had hoped for. Been there/done that!! Why heck..it was almost 2 years into my marraige with Angie before I felt the "MAGIC"....ah,OH...Hi Angie...er...what are you doing reading over my shoulder?...honest Babe I was just kidding...no really honey!...you had me at HELLO....Babe?...hey babe...can I wash your car?...Honey...hey honey...I'll cook tomorrow too...no really I will!!...Ang...Ang...ah come on babe....let me back in...............
