55 min high intensity elliptical.

Diem 10-07-2006 10:08 AM

Two seperate body strength workouts, core and upper. 15 minutes on each.

Don't sore musles swell and cause you to weigh more on the scale? Because, after this week of exercise and wonderful eating, I have gained three pounds. I'm kind of disappointed, but I have read before that sore muscles make you weigh more and my leg muscles are hurting.

Didn't work out yesterday morning as I'd planned, but instead I finally kicked myself into gear in the evening and worked out! Yay! 2-mile WATP w/weights. :)

I'm not sure about the sore muscle thing, diem -- I've heard something like that before too. But I just have to say: WOW! You've lost 140 pounds! That's AMAZING! :cp: VERY inspiring!

Today I did an old video I used to use in college -- The Firm total body workout with weights. It's the one with Janet Jones in a white leotard. It's so cheesy but it kicked my butt. It has some outdated moves and they kind of throw weights around a bit too fast, but I modified some stuff and I had sweat dripping off my face by the middle of it. Whew!

Today I did Turbo Jam 20 minute workout. I didn't have time for Turbo Sculpt today :(

I know I can

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and I wanna join in on the wonderful support system you have.

I recieved my Turbo Jam workouts yesterday and am starting today. I'm gonna follow the 4-5x a week workout plan suggested by the program.
I wanna lose 8-10lbs a month.
I need to focus from now til mid-Jan because I'm going on a fabulous trip to Hawaii and I AM GOING TO WEAR A BATHING SUIT!!!
lol

Good Luck to all of you :D

45 min elliptical, 45 min UB weight training.

Off now to unknown birthday festivities. Will not return with any additional exercise until the birthday is over (I asked if a slot had been planned in my day by the people planning the birthday for me to work out - I was told that no, definitely there was no time, so there you have it).

Yes, I find that when I weigh myself the day after a heavy leg workout I weigh more...but don't let the gain deter you from doing weights, weight training benefits far outweigh that 3# weight gain... Anyways, the weight gain won't continually go up, just keep doing what you are doing if the scale stays the same, use the pant-o-meter to measure progress...

Yesterday: 1 hour chest workout
Today: 6k jog, 46 minutes...

srmb60 10-08-2006 10:01 AM

Combination walk/jog 35 minutes because I was walking and met my husband on his way to a pre-church meeting without his glasses :)

LisaMarie71 10-08-2006 03:35 PM

40 min walk/jog, but I'm thinking of taking another walk in a bit...

edited to add: took another 55 min walk with the husband

Is it normal to still be up a few days later? I haven't done anything all weekend and my legs no longer feel sore, but I'm still up.

The day before I weigh in I usually take my off day from exercising.

Today I did Cardio Party for 45 minutes!

Since adding w/t to my weekly exercise, I found that my weight fluctuates 2-4 pounds. I'm still very slowly taking pounds off in very small increments over several weeks timeframe, but whether it be the w/t addition or bc I'm so close to goal, I'm just using this period as a maintenance course. Ilene is correct that the w/t far exceeds the benefits of just losing for the sake of reaching a goal. It has taken me awhile to get this in perspective.

Ran over 5miles Saturday.

Do you journal your food intake? Make sure your food is super clean, and if it is, my thought is that suddenly you will drop 3 or more pounds. Make sure you drink all your water too...

Run to and from the gym total of 5k arms at the gym

LisaMarie71 10-09-2006 07:33 PM

60 min walk
