Chrissy! I'm 41 also and have found exercise a blessing and a joy. Oh, why didn't I start sooner?? Wish I didn't have to work though.
Love your attitude Mandalinn!
Got my planned 3.5miles in. Thinking about ramping up my run days which means two out of my three w/t days will have a run tacked on. But I haven't been doing any cardio on those days, so it might be a good thing to do for mileage as well as body.
Got my w/t in last night with a quick run. I think my w/t is playing with my scale. I spike 1-2# after a w/t day. At least I knew this would probably happen, so I'm not bummed. But it is evil.
Can someone please kick me in the butt? I haven't worked out since Monday! I keep finding excuses not to work out...and I've been snacking like a crazy lady.
Nikaia: here you go... Now make it in your schedule today, and watch those snacky feelings - drink some water, maybe?
Okay, now I'm getting frustrated! I gained another 1/2 pound, and I have w/t again tonight!!! I know that I need the w/t for its benefits (ie bone strength and toning), but I have worked so hard at getting here and I still have about (now) nine pounds to go!!! In my whole journey so far I have never been this frustrated, I just hang for a few days or even weeks, then my weight starts going back down. But this month I have gone between 121-125 because of temporary steroids due to poison ivy and now, I believe, w/t.
Because I'm so close, I just want the wt to be removed like the past, but it doesn't look like it's going to work that way.
Thanks for letting me vent..... And I don't want to move my ticker yet.
Well, I worked out today - thanks for the butt-kicking, softballmom and Mandalinn! - and am feeling good about it. I also am thinking I need to structure my goals differently. I have a long-term weight goal, but I haven't got any exercise goals or anything. So I'll have to think on that...
